When I got there they treated me and my son super nice they allowed him to walk around and were very patient. They told me I would be able to leave with my hair blow dried if I got my haircut. I said ok since at first I didn't mind not paying for the haircut or blow dry but they said I would deserve to have that. Well around 2-3 pm they rushed towards the end ended up just blow drying my bangs and front portion said I had good products to do the rest of blow dry on my own. That she had someone else come in and didn't have time to have me fully blow dried and said she owes me a haircut layers next time. Everything was fine up until the end. So I paid 280 plus I tipped 40 almost 320 for an incomplete service and not leave with my hair like I deserved when I walked out. It was misleading in the end so I won't be coming back. Everything else was ok just the mere fact that I go to a salon to get my hair done for a partial and haircut yet they do a half job towards the end knowing how hard it is to bring a baby. I was disappointed that I had to rush home to blow dry the rest of my hair when I paid $320 to have them Do it. Please don't do this to customers if you don't have time or let them reschedule when they want to avoid these things. I had a corrective cut and color gone wrong, felt completely defeated, and then....because life has impeccable timing...I landed a dream job interview for the very next day!!! In a panic, I sent out a Yelp service request, and it connected me with Jody, who might as well be a literal angel....call it divine timing I guess?! She opened the salon door calm, collected, and completely confident while I walked in feeling embarrassed, defeated, and convinced my hair was beyond saving. Not only did she squeeze me in at the last minute, she willingly took on a corrective cut and corrective color that many stylists wouldn't touch!!! especially with zero notice! She never made me feel like it was impossible or I was a problem. She just got to work. Less than three hours later, mind you....never has my hair taken less than 3hrs for a normal color and cut, & somehow this woman literally transformed it! Watching someone operate at that level of skill is incredible. My mom was a hairdresser for years and always took clients at the house. Trust, I've seen a lot! There was no panic, no gimmicks, no upselling...just years of expertise, thoughtful decision-making, and genuine artistry. But what impressed me even more was who she is. Jody is honest. She's real. She has incredibly high standards without an ounce of ego. She listened, she was patient, and she worked with me despite my very tight budget because she knew I was trying to prepare for a life-changing interview. Since then, my friends and family haven't stopped telling me how much brighter and lighter I look. Not just my hair...but me!!! They keep saying I'm smiling with my whole face again and standing a little taller. And they're right! I walked into that interview today feeling like myself again confident, put together, and present. I crushed the it! Would that have happened without Jody? Maybe. Would I have shown up as the fullest version of myself? Honestly... I don't think so. Sometimes healing shows up in the strangest places.
