I was in the market for a new barber shop in the Riverside area because my old barbershop is in Grand Terrace and didn't want to do that drive. I did a search of the best barber shops and this one came up as number one. The shop is right around the corner from my house so that's a plus. Cuts are only $30 so that's another plus. Another plus is that you can make a reservation and they honor it. Not like other shops that make you keep track of who is next or a little notebook you put your name in and pray that the homie doesn't walk in with an "appointment" Angel cut my hair and he did an awesome job. Dude took his time and asked a ton of questions to give me the perfect cut. I like to talk to my barbers to get to know them and he is a good dude. The whole vibe of the shop is cool. I would totally recommend anyone looking for a great cut at a good price to church this place out. This place is cash only and could use a little more signage since it's kind of hidden but other than that, totally worth a 5 star. Looking forward to going back and getting another cut read more

I'm not the "5 star review" kinda guy cuz hardly anything ever lives up to the hype. I was having lunch with my wife up the street, was looking in the area to see what we could do and came across this barbershop. Needed a haircut, saw the amazing Yelp reviews and figured id give it a shot. Didn't have an appointment, didn't call, just walked in and they initially were booked up with existing appointments, which I totally understand but they told me to check out the shop across the street. I walked across the street to the obnoxiously green barbershop only to be quoted $40 for a cut. No thanks. On my walk back to my truck, the owner of Blend Cut and Shave came out, asked me what happened. Told him I didn't wanna pay $40 for a cut so I'm just gonna wait til I can get in closer to home and he told me to come in and he'd take care of me. When I tell you I am AMAZED...you gotta go see for yourself. Not only did I get the best haircut I have EVER had by any barber, but he was FAST. Down to every last strand of hair I have never had such a clean cut. It was good conversation, a great environment, very reasonably priced, and an overall clean and lively barbershop. I live 30 minutes from this shop, but I will be making the drive from here on out just to get cut by Izzy. This man genuinely cared that I was taken care of today. He didn't try to upsell me, didn't try to compete with the price across the street. He was honest and humble and for that I will be returning. Look no further. Book with Izzy. Awesome spot to come for a cut. Got my cut with josh. Couple things that occurred during my cut that just showed they go above and beyond. 1) Josh took extra time to cut my hair. Average clean up is what...maybe 30 minutes? He spent little over an HOUR on my hair. Mind you a mid-cut/fade is something they can do in their sleep probably. And they took me in on the same day appointment which is rare. 2) The relationship they have with their neighboring businesses must be great because there was a night market setup that happens every 1st and 3rd Saturday's of the month and my car was parked in the area where it had to be cleared by 3pm. A next door neighbors business owners kid came by to let me know I better get my car out of there. 3) They care about their customers and future customers. That irate customer that complained about their 7:00am being switched? Loll. Grow up. Honestly mistakes happen regardless of who's fault it was. Izzy just opened his new shop here! He also brought Timothy with him from the old shop. We were super excited to come out and support him as this is his opening month! He can take any hair style and tailor it to how you ask for it. Any guy that goes in, comes out looking way cleaner than before. My husband and I drive from Irvine to get my husbands' cut with Izzy because he's a true professional who not only makes you feel comfortable in the chair, but leaves your hair looking amazing for weeks! He has 4 chairs set up so I do recommend calling ahead of time and booking an appointment. He has a really calming black, grey, & white color theme with family appropriate music playing. He does cuts-$20, shaves-$24, or $40 for both, beards $12, kids under 12 for $16, & clean ups-$10. It is cash only so make sure to stop at your ATM before arriving. The shop faces Magnolia Ave and is in a shopping plaza with antique shops, thrift stores, and unique boutiques. So ladies while you wait for your guy to get cleaned up, you can shop around! Had an 11:30 cut and beard trim I called and booked 2 hours prior. Wait 20 minutes until 11:50 to be told only the cut is happening, no time for a beard trim. Don't go here if you're a timely person with things to do. Not sure how this spot has 5 stars? THE BEST experience I've ever had taking my son to get a haircut. I don't normally write reviews but this place is seriously the best. From the moment we walked in everyone was super friendly and welcoming. All the barbers were very kind and genuinely want to make sure you have the best experience. I've been to multiple barber shops and never felt welcome and most of the time I felt out of place especially when it's a first time visit so I would resort to finding a family place or a kids haircut place with toys where I know I won't be shunned but most of the time these places just give an average cut but not here!... the barber who cut my sons hair did a great job and was super kind and was talking to him and really made us feel comfortable.
