I'm specifically here to thank the host. I was running super late for my reservation and the restaurant was busy -- as expected for a Saturday night. The sushi was so delicious and tasted fresh! I'll definitely be back.

Have ordered multiple times for pickup. Great packaging that is spill proof. So many options on the menu so it never gets old. This time I had two rolls shibuya and Madison that were delicious. Lots of non raw sushi options for those with allergies like me.

Bleu Sushi is one of those places that lives with you after you go there. The entire experience is one of joy and once you meet the people behind it, it becomes an even more wonderful place to visit, relax, enjoy amazing sushi among other food, and catch up on conversation with friends. I have been frequenting Bleu Sushi now for over ten years and ever since day one I have felt at home. The owner, Hendra making it so that every single time a guest walks through that door, that every bite is a magical one, and that every need is met above and beyond that one would expect. This is also true of the entire staff; even in his absence or when his other family is present running things, everything is smooth like butter and tasting like perfection. One thing that shines above many other places that simply serve sushi is the dedication Bleu Sushi has towards quality, culinary craftsmanship, and innovation. They have come up with and continue to produce some of the most wonderfully amazing and unique rolls that I have ever had. This is not just because they are placing all sorts of ingredients together, but because a ton of thought is put into flavor, texture, color, and overall plate presentation. Another fun feature of their signature rolls are that they use names taken from local streets and surrounding suburbs. One of my personal favorites is the Temple Roll, which is topped with torched white tuna. There is a whole range of rolls that have specific cuts finished with a hand torch before being brought to the table that add to the delicious overtones of umami, both of flavor, and of the soul. One other standout I have come to adore is a roll, I cannot remember the name, but is based around a center of fried oyster! This is not to say that the signature rolls are the only thing outstanding on the menu...they are more than capable of making top tier traditional rolls as well as sushi and sashimi, and boast a wide array of non-fish/seafood based appetizers and entrees as well, rounding out the menu. You can come here with a party consisting of all palates and be just fine; it's not just for sushi lovers, but those who embrace good food, good friends, and a good time. The interior is a beautiful deep sea blue with signature fish hand painted around the ceiling trim, and in the evening, the lights dim and candlelight is the preferred method of table illumination, making the setting very intimate. On days where the weather is great, the entire front of the restaurant can be opened to the street and street-side seating is available. Simply put, this IS a place to go. If you haven't been here and you live in Philly, make a trip down to 10th and Spruce. If you don't, make it an evening and go have dinner, or lunch, and then take a walk in nearby park or go do something at one of the many things to see or enjoy downtown. If you are visiting, it's a great place if you are in the mood for sushi, the prices are reasonable, and they offer delivery from basically every service known to humanity. Bleu Sushi will not disappoint and neither will the lovely people here. Don't waste anymore time getting here and just go.

I had the absolute best experience at Bleu Sushi on Sunday 9/21/25 From start to finish, everything felt fresh, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. Their sushi rolls are not only beautifully presented but also incredibly creative , each bite had a perfect immaculate balance of flavors and textures. I also tried a few appetizers and main dishes, and every plate felt authentic yet had a unique twist that set it apart from other sushi spots. My mouth was literally watering. It also happened to be my birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. They surprised me with a complimentary dessert and even came over to sing. such a kind and personal touch that I'll never forget. The atmosphere was warm and friendly yet modern and stylish. The service was attentive but never rushed and the staff really were all amazing and so welcoming. Bleu Sushi clearly puts a lot of care into both their food and their guests' experience. If you're looking for high quality, authentic and seriously ridiculously delicious sushi, inventive rolls, and a welcoming vibe, this is the place. I left feeling completely satisfied, celebrated, and already planning my next visit. Highly recommend to anyone who loves sushi or simply wants an amazing dining experience.

Splendid sushi spot! As one who is an avid sushi lover, these wonderful folks do it right @ Bleu! Jonah, our server was phenomenal and had a heart to serve. So kind! I also love that we could customize any roll or swap out ingredients that we wanted to add to our order. My husband and I got the Villanova roll and swaped the inside with spicy salmon instead of spicy tuna, added jalapeño & avocado. It was yummy! A lovely place, I highly recommend this spot! PS--they get their produce weekly and you could taste how fresh the sushi was!

So many vegetarian options at Bleu Sushi! It's no surprise this restaurant has such great reviews. I placed my order online (versus in store) due to the advertisement about it being cheaper. I received a receipt via e-mail and my order was ready in about 15 minutes. I ordered the Ohio Roll, which has inari and avocado and the Pennsylvania Roll, with sweet potato tempura. Both rolls were outstanding, especially the Ohio Roll! I've never had sushi with tofu in it and it was surprisingly delicious. The ingredients tasted fresh. The soy sauce container was wrapped in cling wrap to prevent spillage. I love that they thought about that being a possibility during travels. Looking forward to trying more veggies rolls here in the future!

We dined in on a last min reservation on a Thursday evening and had a really wonderful time. Their sushi is so good and is made so quickly, despite a million takeout orders whizzing by you. Don't sleep on the special roll combo that lets you pick 2 rolls and get a soup and salad (which costs less than 2 of the rolls by themselves). The staff was super attentive but not overbearing. For example, one waiter saw my mom plucking ice cubes out of her water to put in her wine, and he eagerly brought over a cup of ice. My previous gripe about only bottled water is now misplaced, as that must have been a covid precaution (props). I think this will be our new celebratory dinner spot, as it's much better than more expensive places and closer to home.

3.5 Nice. This place has been on my radar for years, and finally had a chance to remember to review it. I opted for two of the Lancaster Rolls, which came with 8 pieces each of some of my favorite - smoked eel, avocado and the sweet Japanese sauce. Service was polite and friendly. About $8 each. Would happily order it again. The downside? The small restaurant was fairly empty, so I gotta admit I was a little annoyed that they placed the next few diners who arrived right next to me. I'm sure they were thrilled that I could eavesdrop and listen in to all the center city drama these 20something city dwellers had with their boyfriends, apartment and jobs. There were quite a few other empty tables scattered throughout the restaurant, so not sure why they had to sit next to me. Conveniently located right by the 9/10th and Locust PATCO stop.

Amazing hole in the wall. Got the sushi dinner combo which was 2 special rolls and either a soup or salad. I got the miso soup. The service was really great. Food came out fast. Don't need a reservation can just do walk in. They do take out. The Ben Franklin roll and Bleu Roll are 10/10. Highly reccommend.

I ordered the yellow tail jalapeño appetizer and miso soup for delivery. Literally only two items and there were THREE hairs in my order. I opened the yellow tail first and noticed a very small black hair but I was like okay...gross but it was by the garnish and not the fish so I ate it because whatever, I can forgive one small hair I guess. Then I opened the soup and found another hair in that when I stirred it. So I fished that out and kept checking and wouldn't you know it....another hair. At that point it's unacceptable that everything in my order had hair in it.

I really enjoyed my togo order from Bleu Sushi. The service was both friendly and speedy. I had quite a big order, and they had it ready in ten minutes. The fish tasted fresh, and the flavor combination of their signature rolls were fun. The interior of the restaurant looked nice too. I would definitely come back and try it in person.

    Pennsylvania Roll Yellowtail Roll

The sushi here was extremely fresh and the service was great! Jonah took great care of us- he was very attentive, kind, and funny! It wasn't busy when we went, so it was nice to chat with him. In terms of ambiance, it's dimly lit, music was at a moderate volume, but could still have a conversation. I'll definitely be back to this spot when I come back in town.

    8-piece sushi selection.

Royal's announcement on they starting to take reservations, a few months ago, immediately had me in stalker mode. I set a calendar reminder, waited for the day, hopped on & bang- success!! Another Philly weekend awaited, Yea! We arrived at Royal (apologies on review delay, circa April 11), for our 8:30pm high top table reservation. We were greeted and seated immediately- right side corner table ready. It's very dim in Royal, small but mobile and a bit noisy. Nothing unexpected. Skating over service, but they are so noteworthy. Our server was attentive, kind and helpful. They HUSSLE here to bus and clear tables. Timing for patrons arriving and being sat was like it was scripted, it was so flawless. No one waiting at the entrance corridor on arrival. Machine precision. Now, our meal- I'm drooling in my daydreams over it. We tried many plates & loved the portion size to be able to do so. The chicken wings- crisp, thick golden fried and tender. The toro with caviar- silk. A touch of brine, a melt in your mouth pleasure. The grilled octopus had an unassuming spice, mellow char and just the right consistency of chew. My husband ordered a surprise- I was scared. Fish heads. WTF, ok here we go. The plate came- heads on heads, quite the portion. This fish- first bite down, intimidation gone. This is one of the best things we've ever eaten. Succulent, moist fall apart whitefish. Didn't even taste like it was battered, no thickness to the breading. It tasted fried but so clean it didn't make sense how good it was. I don't have words. And now we get to the sushi- and I go completely mute.... There is no description worthy here. We had the Dragon Roll and the Spicy Crab Tempura roll. But there's a paper lantern outside, so if you see that, you're in the right place. I had really high expectations coming here and thankfully I wasn't disappointed, although nothing completely blew me away except for the Aka Taka roll. The chirashi bowl was solid overall and had good quality cuts of fish for $52. Everything tasted fresh and balanced, but next time I think I'd personally just order the sakedon instead. The chasu bao also wasn't really worth the $14 in my opinion. It was still good, just not something memorable or mind blowing. Same with the wagyu steak, for $38, it honestly just tasted like a really good steak, and the portion was a little smaller than I expected. My favorite appetizer was definitely the miso eggplant. Such a unique combination of flavors and the eggplant was cooked incredibly soft and well. It almost tasted like a sweet potato with the miso on top, and I would absolutely order it again. But the standout of the night was easily the Aka Taka roll. For a $27 roll, I had very high expectations and somehow they were all met. The roll was stuffed with different cuts of tuna that were unbelievably soft and buttery, and there was this crunch in the middle, maybe daikon? Whatever it was, it added the perfect texture. Honestly, it's something I'd go back just for.
