The stage is raised so it's easy to watch the performers. Most on stage were either students or professors of music from Colorado University, and all were talented musicians. One saxophone player (a CU alum?) just got back from a tour with the Glen Miller band. The patrons were 20 and 30 somethings and many of them were there to play in the jam. The jam started out with an hour-long set by the Kat Ellis Quartet, a very talented singer backed by a band of seasoned professionals. The food looks good in the pictures and my hamburger had all the right ingredients, but I ordered it well done and it was almost charbroiled. But their garlic fries were great. I would just order a basket of those for dinner next time. Service was good and they kept coming around to make sure our needs were met. PARKING The jam starts at 7pm and we got there at about 6:30. There was still street parking within yards of the front door. There is also parking in the back, off of the alley. It's a parking lot that is shared by the Italian bistro next door. Their latest venture is a passion project close to their hearts. I visited on an off night with crappy weather and no show across the street. It was quiet, but I really enjoyed my experience. The menu is driven by culinary flavors. If some of the cocktails sound too bold or daring for you, the bartenders can whip up anything you want. The menu pays homage to other great cocktail bars nationwide. On a chilly, rainy night whiskey was calling my name. Hell, it's always calling my name. I got their take on a Manhattan, while the other was a banana-bready Old Fashioned. Both were excellent, standing up to the finest bars in Denver. Their curated vinyl selection and set up is so damn cool. The records are actually the owners personal collection. They like all types of music, and you'll see a big influence of outlaw country artists. Peach Crease has the elegance of the swankiest retro cocktail bars around, but with a country twang and a denim jacket in tow. Beautiful build out, wonderful execution, talented bartenders. Prices are higher than the average bar, and the kindness of the servers matches the price point. Even if you're not going to a show at Mission, Peach Crease is worth checking out.
