Views are decent. I'm gonna keep it honest though, you cannot fully watch the sunset here. There's a biulding thats blocking the view. It is still nice, but I'm sure there's another spot that'll give you the FULL effect of a sunset. There are a decent amount of seats, but once it gets crowded, expect to stand around. Located on the rooftop of Le Meridien in downtown Denver. They have their own desk in the lobby where you can check in show your ID and then get sent up the elevator to the 20th floor. Great views of the mountains and Denver here. They had lots of blankets and heaters to make sure that everyone could stay warm even in the winter time. It took a while for someone to come to where we were sitting. We were about to go up to the bar and order when our server finally showed up. None of the drinks on their menu were speaking to me so I just got a classic cosmopolitan. Our server messed up my husband's order. He asked for a Manhattan and she brought back a rye whiskey on the rocks. I'd try out another rooftop bar before heading back here, but if someone has not been before I'd still tell them it's worth checking out. read more

After 6pm, entry is restricted to guests 21 and over. The rooftop views are amazing, it is a great spot to relax, especially around sunset. The vibe is lively but still comfortable enough to enjoy a conversation. There is plenty of seating but it was crowded when we arrived but we were able to find some seats close to a fire pit to stay warm. They offer a menu of shareable bites with a global spin. We ordered the chips and guacamole made with avocado and fresh made tortilla chips. We split the braised short rib tacos with avocado, cojita and radish that came with three tacos per order. The steak tacos were very tender and plentiful with toppings. We also tried a variety of cocktails from their bar. Their winter drink menu that highlights warm and spiced cocktails, a curated wine bottle list, and a spectrum of Denver's favorite craft beers. I tried the mezcal hot chocolate that was served with toasted marshmallows on top. Also tried a peach mocktail and asked them to add mezcal. Both cocktails were elevated and hand crafted. Other people in my party tried the Elevated Old Fashioned with Brush creek strait bourbon, angostura amaro, dry curacao, honey. Service was friendly and efficient, and everything came out quickly. I saw other reviews on Yelp showing how nice this place looked, and that really drew me here! It is located on the rooftop of the Meridian hotel. It was difficult to get up there since we weren't staying there and needed a room key to have the elevator move. Maybe there was a different way up and it was our error, but we had to stop at the 17th floor and walk the rest of the way up. We went at sunset, and it was absolutely gorgeous. I got tons of great pictures and had a great drink as well. I got the guava daiquiri, which was delicious, but expensive at $16, although that is what you can expect for such a nice place. My boyfriend had the elevated old fashioned, which he enjoyed. I noticed people with charcuterie boards as well, but we did not eat anything. Nice place for relaxing and socializing. read more

Happy Hour / Sunset / After hours Get there early and get whatever open seat exists If you leave your seat / table unattended to go to the bathroom, don't expect it to be waiting for you. There are a lot of vultures Drinks and pricing is reasonable. After hours - music can get loud and trying to carry a conversation can be challenging. The staff are really pretty good. We did not partake in any apps or foods when we were there. I was not fan of Odell Mountain Standard IPA but I did like the Denver Beer Co. Golden Amber more. This awesome rooftop bar is at the top of the hotel Le Meridien. When you get into the lobby, there will be a host who will check you in, asking for your phone number and to do initial ID checks. I got there around 7pm (RIGHT BEFORE THE CROWD) and my wait time was approximately 15min after registering with the hostess. While you wait, there's the hotel's downstairs bar where you can lounge around. The views here are INCREDIBLE! I'm such a sucker for views and hanging lights so this vibe is my kryptonite. They also have a great menu of cocktails to choose from and a DJ to up the hype. This is on my list of places that I'm gonna bring all of my out-of-town guests and for great reason! Staying just a block away and the fact weather is so much nicer than back home we needed to come here. The views especially watching the sunset was 100% worth it! It was surprisingly busy for a Monday but makes sense being part of a hotel and everyone wanting to enjoy the weather. Thankfully shortly after we arrived some perfect couch spots opened up! We enjoyed hot cocoa on the rooftop by the fireplace, and he even made sure my party of 8 had blankets, which was such a thoughtful touch. One word: VIBES. Be mindful of weather tho - this rooftop bar which is at the top of the meridian hotel is open to the air. One night I tried to come it was SUPER windy and kinda rainy. I was nearby and came to ask the hostess how it was and she said everyone was huddled around the bar since it's the only covered area. I decided to come the next day which was much nicer - and the view of the mountains to the west is just lovely. They have lots of tables, but it WAS quite crowded. When I came, I got a spot on a couch corner where I had my cocktail (a variation on the lavender sky with added elderflower flavor - I told the bartender I liked floral drinks and he made it for me that way, 10/10 service!). It was a lovely hour sipping my drink and reading a book on that couch corner while enjoying the mountains and the open air! My review is with a grain of salt because I came here specifically to watch the Christmas drone show (as the drone show listed this rooftop as a suggested spot to watch them, so it was probably busier than usual). Parking around here is tricky but I think most people would know that going in. Finally found a spot and realized I forgot my wallet (with my ID) at home, but thankfully nobody carded me during the evening. Reminder to set up your CO license app on your phone for situations like this! When we got there, we found out they charged $25 in advance before going to the rooftop (like a ticket) but it counted as a voucher for anything you bought upstairs so it wasn't a true "cover charge." Upstairs was definitely packed and our friend thankfully got one of the last couch spots. The covered/enclosed area was definitely warmer than the exposed ones, though there are some firepits around. They also had blankets everywhere which were a terrific idea and helped keep us much warmer than without them. Service was a little slow but I can't blame them due to how busy it was. I got a hibiscus cocktail which was good and not too sweet. My friend and husband both got hot drinks (they had a cider, and something else which came with alcohol). Both smelled delicious. The drone show itself was cool but I was disappointed (not the bar's fault) that the show was so low. I was hoping it would be kind of.....up in the air. So when the show started, you HAD to stand up and walk near the end of the bar to see the show (and try to see around the 6'4 guy who decided he was gonna stand right in front of everyone). Anyway, drinks and snacks were a little on the pricy side here but I'd say it kind of goes hand-in-hand with a nicer hotel rooftop bar.
