COVID-safe, at-home consultation was gratis and every square inch of all three rooms were carefully measured. With colors in mind, all we needed was to stop in and look at numbers. I met hubs here, looked at fabrication and colors- while Mitch confirmed on his end if textiles were available. 360 is small- but equipped with Venetian, Vertical, Roller, Pleated, Roman shades, blinds, etc samples on display. The third time was a disaster and they could not have been less accountable or less accommodating. In short, Kanters sent us the wrong colored LVT flooring, which even if we were willing to accept it, was defective and not capable of being installed. In any event, my wife and I were immediately willing to accept a different color LVT flooring that Kanters had in stock so that our construction was not set back weeks (we still had to pay our contractor for two days of work reserved to install this flooring, which now could not occur). Rather than doing what was necessary to immediately deliver this new LVT flooring, Kanters said it did not have staff to do that but eventually "agreed" to allow my wife and I to do all the manual labor ourselves (picking up 25 boxes weighing 60+ lbs each). Making it almost comical, Kanters had the gall to ask that we also bring back the 25 boxes of wrong colored and defective flooring so that they could get their money back from the manufacturer (which we did). Thus, my wife and I performed a half day of manual labor to correct Kanters' mistake because, apparently, they do not have adequate staff. When we asked for a credit, this is a quote from Brian Kanter: "These type of positions are the reasons that most small business no longer exists in our world. For some reason society has the belief that perfection exists and that a manufacture never makes a defective product or sends the wrong product. I wish that was the case but it's just a fantasy." Mr. Kanter went on to equate us transporting 50 boxes of extremely heavy flooring to the time he had to return a broken TV to Best Buy. In other words, don't expect that what you get will be what you ordered or even correct. In the end, the "credit" they offered was that they were not going to charge us extra for having to pick new carpet to match the different colored flooring (something he admitted they otherwise normally do). I think the moral is shop here at your own risk. If everything goes fine they are a run of the mill flooring company. They hardly answer their phones and take days to respond to emails. But, if things go poorly, you better expect that they will shift the blame to their manufacturer and/or to you. They will not be out of pocket - you will (just as we are).

Our Pilates…read morestudio needed both shades and drapes, and the first quote we received was from The Shade Store, which was insane, so we immediately brought out several more companies for a consult. Darby was super knowledgable, he understood exactly what we needed, and the prices were very reasonable compared to most of the competition. Because our Studio has two full walls of windows, we need to keep the sun out but also wanted something lighter for an aesthetic look and for some privacy. Darby suggested we do a UV Sun shade closest to the window, and then another track of drapes which we can pull when it's less sunny or at night when we don't need the full sun blocking. So we ordered both blinds and drapes, and both were done within the timeframe Darby initially quoted us (which was faster than the industry standard from what I experienced meeting other companies). The delivery and installation process was also great, as they were quite flexible working with our schedule around all the other work being done in our studio. Stretch the installer was wonderful. The final result is absolutely beautiful, and one of our instructors just today said "I feel like I'm in a spa." I met with 5 different local companies and I can 100% recommend this one and if we build another studio or need something done for our house there is no question we'll be back :)

A local business said they only worked on Hunter Douglas products and might not be able to get the right parts. Then... cue drum roll... Ziegler said they would pick up the broken blind and return it the next day. Turns out, they did even better. Sean came in the specified time window - hallelujah! - after calling to say exactly when he'd arrive - double hallelujah! - and happened to have the right part with him. He had the blind fixed and working within minutes. Pricing was reasonable, and obviously the service couldn't be beat. 1000000% recommended.

The design consultant themselves are great, but the logistics groups that fulfilled the installations is super flaky, and they will just no-show to a scheduled delivery with no heads up. I received nothing but a cryptic voicemail that was impossible to understand with no callback number and no one to contact to understand what happened and when the delivery is being rescheduled to. Shade Store needs to take accountability for this and find a different fulfillment partner if they want to maintain their overall customer experience and customer satisfaction. I have now waited in my home for a collective 12 hours across three appointments with no installation done. beware of this.
