I called " Blinds to Go " in Hartsdale, several weeks ago. The office promptly called me for an appointment . Mr. Joaquín Melo arrived with certain samples and explained the products and the procedure very well to my husband and I. I was very impressed with his knowledge of all the products. He was very professional and experienced. I have already referred friends and family and business acquaintances to "Blinds to go". The measurer / installer Renato Soriano , called me to set an appointment to come over to measure. A few weeks later when the shades and the window treatments physically arrived in the showroom. Joaquin called me for payment in regard to the balance of what was due on the order . He then also set up an appointment.for Installation with Renato. Renato arrived this morning on time on a blustery December morning and promptly. He was in and out in a flash . There was no mess at all. There was no cleanup at all after everything Was installed. The house was perfectly cleaned up, and the house is immaculately clean. Renato was professional , experienced and very cordial. I give "Blinds to Go " a Five star Plus rating and review. There was a problem that he discovered because of the length of the blinds(faux wood), He felt that they would be very heavy. He asked me to come in at my convenience to discuss above. This store and a specific sales rep were highly recommended by a salesperson from an upscale furniture store. At first I was disappointed at the very limited selection of fabrics. I had brought a sample I ordered from them the previous year that I liked a lot, but it was discontinued. So I settled on some ok fabrics that I do not love. Yes their prices and promotions are outstanding. But you get what you pay for, right? I was unimpressed with their installer who neglected to hand me any literature (I found the warranty flyer on the floor) and didn't inform me about a specific option that was available to me. The night of the install I discovered that one of the shades rolls down crookedly in a very obvious way (this didn't happen when he was here). It doesn't fully cover the window. I emailed and called my sales rep but was unavailable when he called back and now I can't seem to reach him at all to schedule a service call. Also one collection of shades has all kinds of loose threads sticking out. I pointed this out to the installer and he said I should cut them. So that's 4 windows that I have to trim. Blinds To Go was FANTASTIC! They just installed a big project in my home - custom shutters for eight windows and blinds for two patio doors. I couldn't be happier! Georgina, my sales rep, answered all my questions and replied promptly whenever I reached out. Anton, the installer, showed up exactly when scheduled, and his crew was here for hours, fine-tuning the shutters to fit perfectly. BTG's price beat everyone else's estimate (I also had a $500 move-in coupon and shopped during their March sale), but the greatest convincer was the fact that Blinds To Go manufactures their products at their own factories in the U.S. (Their competitors' shutters are manufactured in China and are now subject to tariffs and delays.) The rep at the store was very helpful and patient with us. very good value and deals. had a lot of options for us. we were doing shades for our kids' rooms. the installer, Anton, who also came to measure our curtains was very knowledgeable and professional. he was also very punctual and the finished product looked great. we are very satisfied overall. The reason for the 4 stars rather than 5 was (a) the speed of delivery. the blinds were actually ready quickly but to schedule an appointment to install them eventually led to a time from order to installation of around 18 days for 4 similar roman shades. (b) we felt the sales rep needed more orientation with the smart offerings and their cost so we make a better informed decision. Otherwise, everything was great. Thank you! read more

I ordered my blinds, I got no email about it, after 2 months I tried following up for it, they said they are here and they delivered. The master bedroom blinds, were a disaster. They took it out and in-spite of the promise that the new blinds will come within 3 days, it took 2 weeks and after constant follow ups, they came to put it. The shop never answers phone calls, even if you leave 100 messages, they never reply back. The lady Nancy never reverted my phone and messages. Please do not put your time into this shop, there are much better options in market, its not even cheap. Pls see pictures, no alignment and a huge gap between the 2. Contractors worked around a frosted window in our main bathroom. And since they installed a glass shower door (after getting rid of our tub and curtain), we wanted waterproof blinds with a stylish and monochromatic look. Yet we also wanted to block out the annoying fluorescent lighting coming in from the street lamp at night into our hallway. Searched all over the map for blinds- even at our new fave, Lowe's in Orangeburg...but no luck. Coming here though, seemed an ideal location for us and a stone throw away. Place was full to the gills on a Thursday night- not to mention, only 2 employees on deck. We got busy looking and touching blind samples, to get a good feel and realized, wait wasn't long. Thankfully, Fellicia came to our rescue that night. She was the most patient- despite us stopping in about 1/2 hour before closing. We showed her a sketch of our window and went back and forth with her on the width then gave us ideas on length. To put it in a nutshell, sister had ALL the know-how on blinds and got our exact measurements down to a freaking T. We bypassed having Blinds To Go install our window treatments since we're dealing with our own handyman. Payment was a breeze and based on dollar amount for our medium-ish window, it was less than $200. Fellicia mentioned arrival date at their showroom- and sure enough, pickup was actually a day before our promised date. Thank you. Some folks seem to be on edge- but I'd come back. They have been to my house on at least six occasions, and the measurements they have taken have all been incorrect in various ways (length, width, valence, etc). Designer was prompt and very serviceable. Installers were neat and paid attention to details. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. You will be on hold for as much as an hour, they give you the wrong numbers to contact. Repair took 3 weeks and no call, no update. I called customer and the blinds were delivered to the store. There is really nothing good to say about them. The manager should be retrained in just plain courtesy, common courtesy. The blinds took 3 months to arrive, and the measurements were all wrong. When I complained that they were not what I had asked for I was told that I had signed off on it. Completely untrue!!! I could not be happier! I moved into an apartment equipped with blinds, but they didn't block street lights and they looked totally sterile. I had a few options, but I chose to call "Blinds To Go" and boy did I ever strike gold. Lourans was my sales rep and showed up on time, and was so helpful and kind. Lourans had a tremendous background in design, so you are not getting some random rep with a 2 day class on window treatments, Lourans has clearly been a designer for years (if not decades). My selection options were explained in great detail, and the whole decision making process was exponentially easier since ai was dealing with a pro! I have been using Blinds to Go for over 13 years for 3 different residences and never encountered a problem with their service or product. They have always been accommodating, attentive, and professional. I am pleased with the selection and options they offer. Never waited more then 10 minutes for someone to help me and most of the time never waited at all. I recently had the pull chain on a shade break after 10 years and they repaired it and had it back to me within a couple of days. I cannot comment on their installers as I have never used them. Ugh! Called this store to ask them about getting my blinds fixed. These people have independent contractors as installers and the store easily could have referred me to a couple of people. They refused to do it. It would not have cost them anything to give me a couple of names, but they would not do it. I only gave it 1 star because that's the lowest. I bought three sets of blinds two and a half years ago. One of them malfunctioned on November 2015. I was told that it would take 5 days. After a month of them never contacting me, I decided to call them. They only give you a specific time to contact them and when you make an attempt, the phone is either busy, or you are told to call back. I decided to go there in person. When I went this evening, I was told that they only contact you via email. They insisted that I deleted it. When I told them that I didn't, they realized that my Yahoo email was spelled incorrectly (Yahho). I was appalled. How can an adult spell Yahoo incorrectly? If I could give a 0 I would. Terrible company that does not stand behind their products. We bought $1,500+ in automated shades. They never worked properly. We tried to deal with the local store to no avail. Brought blinds in, motors replaced, batteries replaced...still doesn't work. Brought blinds back, motors still don't work, alkaline batteries that we bought disappear, remotes for the blinds are not the same ones that we brought in (received old dingy ones to replace). Were told that we would receive replacement batteries but when we went to the store to pick up...nothing there. Last straw, came out to our home to try to resolve the issue. We were told that the motors that we have are no longer being manufactured & the replacement one does not fit our blinds. What a surprise!!!! But it gets better, to replace the 4 replacement blinds that we originally paid $1,500 dollars for would now cost $3,400 to replace. Are you kidding me? I ordered blinds 2.5 months ago; 6 weeks later I had to call and found out that my blinds were in. They had encouraged me to use their installers. I was told it would be 2 months for an install. I balked and they arranged an install 3 weeks later. The day before, they cancelled and rescheduled the install for another 2 weeks. I sat all day waiting for installer who never showed. Impossible to get anyone on the phone. They have $2000. Of my money and still I have no blinds. read more

I have used this company/location twice already and spent over 8k altogether. The people who work there are great but after they take your deposit for your window treatment it's almost impossible to get a hold of someone afterwards. I have emailed them including my salesperson and left messages on their answering machine as well but no one ever gets back to me. I receive emails from the company about my order being ready and to call for install but once again that's not possible. I will have to go down there in person again in order to resolve this issue. I visited the store, Blinds To Go (2223) in Hartsdale, on November 21st, placed my order and left a deposit. The order was placed by the manager, Jonas who instructed me to email my measurements to the store. I did so on November 23rd. I had not received any confirmation or update on my order whatsoever. I had to return to the store to check the status of my order 3 weeks after placing it to learn my order had not been fulfilled. At this point, I canceled my order and requested a refund of my deposit. Upon my arrival to the store, 2 sales associates Shamari & Ray were very helpful and assisted me with my needs in rectifying the store managers neglect. The customer service bestowed upon me from Jonas was very poor. The store has a system in place that permits customers to email in order to fulfill their order but the emails are not being monitored. The manager should be practicing much better customer service to set a good example for the staff he is supposed to be leading. Might I suggest a conversation with Jonas in regards to actually managing the store and the orders that he takes. 28 days later... February 2, 2019... still no resolution. I would not recommend Blinds To Go. Quality is not there for the exorbitant price they charge. Waited over 6 weeks to receive my order and less than 24 hours after hang up the entire valance material became unstuck from its cheap and flimsy plastic base. The rope pulls which they described as a strong plastic look cheap and bring quality of the look down. Getting someone on the phone is difficult their communication is poor. I waited three weeks for the guy to come and what I thought would be a replacement if my valance was a visit just to collect the damaged one.....Really!!!!! Terrible experience at the Hartsdale Blinds to Go. They had no problem taking my money for blinds that broke with in a month, but try getting decent customer service. My most recent frustration with this store came today. Last week, one of the plastic tabs at the top of one of the strips broke. I called the store and they said they had plastic strips to replace what I needed. The sales person on the other end had such a thick accent that I could barely understand what he was saying. He told to come pick them up but since it is a hour away and a toll charge, I asked them to put it in the mail for me. A week later, no replacement part so I fought the traffic and paid the toll and went there. The store hardly had any one to wait on people and the woman behind the desk wouldn't even look up. There was BLARING rap music playing on the radio that was so loud you had to shout to be heard. After standing there for 10 minutes I asked the women for help and she said she had already called for someone (she didn't bother telling me that). Finally the guy who I talked to on the phone came out. I told him I had ordered the replacement part and it was never mailed to me. He asked me my name and then went over to the mail drop and picked up the envelope with my name and address on it: THEY HAD NEVER BOTHERED TO MAIL IT!!! When I asked to speak to the manager, Jessica, I was told she was out to lunch (this was 3:30 on a saturday afternoon). I have had enough. My initial visit was pleasant and efficient, and my order taken quickly...however...upon arrival to pick up my ordered blinds none of the sales staff acknowledged or greeted me when I walked up to the desk. Chatting amongst themselves or head buried in paperwork, I had to initiate any interaction. When I did get attention my order was brought out quickly. The real problem was that one of the five blinds ordered was cut to the wrong size...warranting another trip to the store to return one blind and another to pick up the replacement. Really they could have shipped it directly to my house. Past experience tells me that I could have received a comparable product, cut on premises at Home Depot for less money and fewer trips...I might return for a specialty product, but for run of the mill mini-blinds , why bother? read more

Though the staff is friendly, the product is poorly made. I live in Manhattan..the store is in Hartsdale. Having spent a little over $500 for 3 blinds - 2 were broken within the year. To have them repaired required me to (rent a car) GO TO THE STORE..drop them off...then DRIVE BACK to the store and HIRE their person and PAY $75 to reinstall them. Their policy is not to UPS them..they have "their own system." Never again. read more
