The entire process went like a well oiled machine. My recommendation is to stay very clear of this company and from doing any business with them. The drapes were to be custom made, I guess by custom, they just adjust the length. The sales people are not trained well and sold us drapery which look like someone took a sheet and pinned it with clips attached to rings. I tried many time to resolve this , the response was I needed to spend more money for an upgrade. The drapery panel kept coming off the clips because they used an inexpensive rod which was telescopic and the drapes could not pass over the rod effectively. Do not recommend. read more

Liam was friendly, extremely helpful, knowledgeable about products, and patient with us as we made changes along the way. He was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend him to friends and family if they are in the market for new shades. We have been longtime customers of Blinds To Go. Over the last 25 years my husband and I have bought and sold 8 homes and are sometimes called "gypsies" because we've moved so many times. Each move brought us into Blinds to Go and although our style has changed over the years, the quality of products continue to bring us back. After a poor initial install, I contacted my credit card company and filed a "dispute" for the second part of my payment. Blinds To Go contacted me and sent their BEST installer (Arlindo). He worked to correct the issues that I had. He did a good job and I was satisfied with the end result. I released the dispute and paid them the balance for the blinds that I ordered. Do yourself a favor, if you are a DETAILED person like me and know the difference between a quick install and one in which the installer actually measures his work, make sure that you specify that you want Arlindo to do your install. Please stay clear of this company and do not support this establishment. I ordered 19 blinds, I needed a repair on one of them. I was told that the company discontinued selling the blind that I currently have. They gave me a new blind, which not only did not match the others but did not fit the hardware. Upon calling HQ they said that they would not install the new hardware because the work order was deemed a repair, not a replacement. They do not offer installation services for repairs. I expressed that it would be a repair if they had the blind that I paid for along with the installation fee. Thus, for any of the 18 remaining blinds the lifetime repair guarantee is not applicable since they no longer sell what I ordered. Terrible company. They sent the wrong size but refuse to amend. Apparently they deduct 4mm from shutter blinds as standard. This is not obvious at the time of order. So when they arrive they're too small. I've been asking for weeks why they make them smaller than requested and how they suggest fitting them but I'm talking to a brick wall. read more

I bought 18 blinds for my house 16 years ago and one of the blinds started sticking and not hanging evenly. B I called to ask about getting it repaired and was told to just bring it in and they would take care of it for me. I brought it in on Thursday and was called Saturday to come pick it up. Poor customer service. When I went to the store, the reps seemed as if they didn't care and presented a "brushing off" type of attitude. Ended up ordering the blinds and they came in with the wrong measurements. Been calling multiple times for two days straight and the calls go to voicemail stating the design consultants are busy. 1 or two calls, okay, but 10 calls resulting in the same result? Well we've been pretty happy with our blind purchases and we've experienced some issues with the blind cords, especially with oversized windows. The service has been good, up until recently. We're having some problems and I have called 4 times and left messages with the design consultant (only phone options are ; directions, issues with your current order or design consultant). And as of today, (4th attempt) still have not received a call back. My entire house is fashioned with blinds from blinds to go.....why is there NO customer service? I ordered pleated shades for a wide kitchen window. Shades arrived within two weeks and look fine but installation is a problem. I hired my own contractor to install the shades since he was doing other work in my home. He installed the brackets evenly and securely however the shade will not snap onto the brackets and as a result, they fall off when I open or close them. I called Customer Service and they said that the shade needs to "snap" into the brackets to be secure but after several attempts with assistance from the contractor, a neighbor and a friend, they never snap in securely. Customer Service will have someone call me to schedule an appointment with one of their installers but they won't waive the fee, even if the brackets are found to be defective. So I'll be paying twice (my contractor and their installer) for what should be a simple installation. read more

Dissatisfaction, indeed dissatisfaction is the word for Blinds to Go products. Over a year ago they installed blinds throughout my home with some of the bigger ones with the remote control. The batteries keep falling which is a danger especially when it almost landed on our 18-month-old. They have come to my home several times to fix them but it takes months and months of calling to get that to occur and now they schedule with you but fail to show up (last two times). They have two sets of blinds out for repair since AUGUST and now it is January! When you call you get the run around, not a Canadian order, or design order must speak with designer but designers say must speak with headquarters, there is long list of where to call for dissatisfaction. I was happy with my blinds initially, however 1 year later all 5 of my cellular shades have begun to turn grey/black. Knowing the blinds came with a lifetime warrantee I called customer service, who connected me to the store. Upon consulting with another manager they determined that the discoloration is from 'someone having a fire while your windows were open' or 'debris from oil heat', therefore not a defect in the shade, so not covered. I ordered five blinds. Initially, three were installed on Aug 17 two blinds were cut too big. Second time installer came (Sept 22) two blinds were installed but one valance was still too big. Third time installer came (10/7) to install the valance; it was missing the returns (side pieces). These were paid in full when I placed the order in July. I can't really give an actual review.... Let me explain. My wife and I went to the store and browsed around for a bit. We spoke to one of the ladies behind the counter and she was very helpful. I can say only good things about her helping us. We got several quotes for what we wanted to do for our house and the different rooms. Great experience.... We tried to make an appointment, but she could not get in touch with the guy who does the measuring/scope the job out. She told us he'll call us within the end of the week. No call. I did not call them. My philosophy (I'm a business owner) is that if I request service and you don't want my service, then you don't bother.... Pretty simple philosophy. It's too bad because the quotes that we got was a decent amount of money. That's what I get for telling my wife "sure whatever you think looks good, I'm cool with it". I am planing to change all the blinds and window treatments in my house. I started with one after I found it to be one of the cheap, but their work is exceptional. I fell in love with their work. OK - I never leave reviews but always read them, but in this case I have to leave a review because of the ridiculousness of my experience with this place. I ordered two blinds, experience was great up until I went to install the valance on one of the blinds - one of them didn't have a miter cut on the end, so I called to say I need a new one. I was told I have to go back to the store to bring in the incorrect valance so they "can see the error". Whatever, I go in to return it. A few days later I get a call that the replacement is in, so I go back again to the store and pick it up. I get home, and realize the miter cut is off - so essentially the corner looks like a "V". Now I call back, pretty aggravated at this point and demand a replacement be shipped to my house. After a lot of back and forth, they finally agree to ship one to me. Fast forward a couple weeks, I get the valance in the mail. So just today I go to install it, and low and behold the front valance is no joke 5" inches short!! The people in the factory are either playing a cruel prank, or just absolute complete imbeciles. At this point I'm not even going to bother dealing with these morons, and just accept the original crap miter cut that looks like a "V". Luckily I can put this in a corner of the room where it's not too noticeable. Conclusion: I'll never do business with this company again! I will say everyone at the store I dealt with were pleasant and helpful, hence the one star. read more

We ordered blinds for two windows and they were done within 48 hours! However, the sales person mixed up the height and width so they were the wrong size. This was partially my fault as he went over the dimensions with me before putting it into the computer and I didn't catch the mistake and even signed off on the incorrect size. When I went back to let them know about the mix up they were great! Even though I signed off on the wrong size they quickly fixed the problem and I had our new blinds in the correct size in 48 hours! The one thing I will say is that their hours aren't great...closing at 7PM on weekdays makes it difficult to get there before closing if you work and need to drive from a distance. read more

Placed a large order with this store - drove 40 minutes to location to pick up blind, then get home to find out the blinds were not weighted down correctly. When i called them, they wanted me to bring the blinds back so they could order me new ones. I provided video and proof the blinds were defective and they still refused to reorder the blinds until i returned the old ones. when i returned the blinds, the agent laughed that the blinds would not stay down. Make sure to get it all in writing. Make sure to go over your order at least 2x. They don't believe in the "customer's always right" adage. Had a slight mishap on an order. We wanted the optional up/down feature of a blind. Only got the down delivered. Yes, it wasn't in the order so I won't play the he said/she said game so here's my word for the wise. Store was dirty and a bit tired, but we had bought blinds there in the past and they had stood by their warranty so we gave them a try. I picked up the shades today only to find when I got the box open at home that the color of the brackets and the shades are different greens, and the tone of the greens are not compatible. When I called the store the sales person said that although they try and match the colors, it is not exact and that we should have been told when we were looking at samples. All of the shades on display had matching bracket colors. The store salesperson said that the only thing we could do would be to remove the top bracket color panel saying that underneath it would be white. So.. buyer beware. read more
