Here's what happened: In Spring 2023 we hired Mr. Paint to paint our deck. After the work was completed the paint was peeling after only a few months. We contacted him later that summer, he came out to look at the job, agreed it wasn't prepped correctly and offered to return in the following Spring and re-do the work. He returned in Spring with a Sherwin Williams Rep who confirmed that the site wasn't prepped correctly, it was power washed one day before painting and the wood, still retaining moisture, then expanded after painting leading to extensive cracks and peeling. After his own paint rep confirmed the site was not correctly prepped Mr. Paint then blamed the third party contractor that HE HIRED and refused to re-do the job as he previously promised and also refused to return our money. We are now out $1275 and our deck looks worse than before it was painted. It will cost us more to repair his company's poor workmanship than the amount we originally paid him. We are now filing in small claims court to have our money returned and have filed a complaint against Mr. Paint with States Attorneys Office.

On 5/22/2025 Manny and Julian arrived slightly before 8:30 AM. They informed me of their arrival at my residence. Manny and Julian took measurements for the materials, letting me know they would head to the store and return. They came back in about an hour. I am extremely pleased with the porch replacement. I have no objection to the quote--it is a free market, so you can quote whatever you want. I replied him, trying to be polite (and hope he will send a lower quote, if possible), saying "this is too high for a small window, so thank you but I will pass". I think for a normal, polite person, they can just ignore my message if they don't want to lower the price. Or they can simply say something like "price not negotiable" or "have a good day". Surprisingly, they replied below: "You could have just ignored it. Thanks for making me pay for you to say no" Very rude. As a customer, I'm looking for services. I never expected that I will be educated by someone. This is like walking into Walmart and asking the price of an apparel, the staff tells you it is $100, then I said "oh that's too expensive", then the staff replied "you could have just put down the clothes without saying anything--just shut your mouth" I don't think you paid me anything, nor did I to you.
