Their lack of communication wasted both my time and my client's time and reflected poorly on me because I made the recommendation. If they were not interested in the project, a simple phone call or email would have been the professional thing to do. Instead, we were left waiting with no explanation. The owner of this business can just be a bit more polite. I bought one small drapery that costs me $500, and they quoted me $400 for installation. I have no objection to the quote--it is a free market, so you can quote whatever you want. I replied him, trying to be polite (and hope he will send a lower quote, if possible), saying "this is too high for a small window, so thank you but I will pass". I think for a normal, polite person, they can just ignore my message if they don't want to lower the price. Or they can simply say something like "price not negotiable" or "have a good day". Surprisingly, they replied below: "You could have just ignored it. Thanks for making me pay for you to say no" Very rude. As a customer, I'm looking for services. I never expected that I will be educated by someone. This is like walking into Walmart and asking the price of an apparel, the staff tells you it is $100, then I said "oh that's too expensive", then the staff replied "you could have just put down the clothes without saying anything--just shut your mouth" I don't think you paid me anything, nor did I to you. The next few days I had other plans but on a whim decided to show up today. I also decided to bring the wand which needed a part & an existing wand which had a Shepards hook just to show them what Im currently using. The lady was behind the counter and was very nice . A tall guy with a beard helped me. Not sure if he was Bert. He look at what I had, I told him my story and he asked to take the wand w/o the hook in the back. While I chatted some small talk, he replaced my part and used some glue or adhesive and now it works again. I can open & close my wood blinds w/o standing on the couch. Great customer service! And I wasn't charged anything for this small part! I looked thru the internet real hard to find somebody and found 2 places on the west coast and if they even had it, it would several weeks and not 100% sure, it would fit inside the wand. So lucky to stumble upon somebody locally that was willing to help & had parts. I had called a place in DG that pretty much blew me off and said we don't have parts . Use this place! They are caring and nice. I think part of some peoples issues is they cant or wont communicate properly with this company. I think because I brought my parts in and was calm and had no expectations everything was fine. The problem in today's world is, everybody wants things yesterday. Crazy. Worth a stop here.
