I walked about 2 hours before close. The place looked empty. When I entered the woman behind the counter just stared at me. I said, "Hello" and she just continued to stare. I asked if I could get my eyebrows threaded and tinted, and upper lip done. She then asked rudely if I had an appointment. I asked if I needed one? She said to have a seat but that she was finishing up with someone. I waited and listened to her be so nice to the woman in her chair. When she was fully done with the other woman, she said I could have a seat in the chair. She made sure to let me know it would be $27 for the services. I told her that was fine. She told me it would be better to wax my upper lip rather than thread, I told her that was fine. In the middle of our session another woman walked in. She said she was looking to get her chin, eyebrows, and upper lip threaded. She did not ask her if she had an appointment. She immediately sat her in the chair next to me and finished the woman before coming back to me. She provided no aloe or compress for my upper lip, and the worst part was my EYEBROWS!!! They were huge, unnatural looking, and completely too dark. I gasped when she held up the mirror. I told her I looked scary. She told me some people like them thick.... I told her that I like fullness, but this wasn't even the shape of my brows and again it was way too dark. She said fine and took some solution and attempted to make them thinner. She showed me and even though I was still displeased, I just wanted to get out of there. On the way to the register I asked her if I could pay with card. She rolled her eyes and said I could pay for the service, but I needed to tip her in cash. I said that was fine and I did tip her in cash. I wouldn't take my chances at this place. This woman's attitude was terrible and meanwhile I'm googling how to lighten my brows. Don't waste your time here. read more

I visited this location to have my brows threaded and the service was horrible. The technician was rude because I did not want to wait while she threaded the eyebrows of a customer that came in after me. When my service was complete and paid for, I went to the restroom to wash my hands and the same technician followed me to the restroom claiming it was out of order. I don't believe she's not washing her hands during a pandemic. I've come to this location for years but today was my last visit. I won't be back. read more

I asked why she said she's busy with the other customer... the one that came after me. Horrible experience for a full body wax. She over charged me $65 dollars when she told me it would only be $15 dollars extra. She rushed the process so badly that I still have hair patches and sticky wax parts all over me. There were a lot of other things that went wrong but those were the most annoying. good thing I paid with card since they can't take tips that way. if you're too busy for walk in's, politely decline or ask me to make an appointment! don't advertise $100 body waxes if you're going to charge me almost $200 at the end of the session. Loved this place when I first started coming. In fact my complaint is with one specific worker who's name I don't know; but who I always seem to have regardless of the day I go. She's a younger woman maybe in her mid 20s. I hate to leave a bad review but this is seriously like my fourth not so awesome experience in a row so it's time I review. Here's how each time has gone. 1) eyebrows and lip threading, got eyebrow tinting. Tinting was very sloppy! I had plans after that I had to cancel because there was tint almost down to my ear. No lie. 2) same services, I timed the tint job because the last time hardly lasted 5 days... she left it on for 4 minutes. She was warming up some food in the microwave and I truly believe she wanted me gone so she could eat. Even at my services expense. 3) same but switched my lip threading for a wax. Wow, what a mistake. She didn't hold my skin at all and ripped it off of there like nobody's business!! Not only did it hurt like hell (incorrect way) but it didn't do the job at all and I had hairs all over my lip that she didn't clean up. My eyebrow tint was sloppy again. Stayed on 6 minutes this time. (At this point I start timing them on my Fitbit) 4) today... decided to skip the tint when I saw her working. Her thread broke more than 7 times, she kept hitting my nose with the thread (honestly!!?) and it was the patchiest job. She took WAAAY too much brow off which I do NOT understand for a clean up. I'm attaching a photo to show you one, how messy her line is and two, how much hair she took off the top of my brow. Because since she left that chunk of hair -- it gives reference. It will take FOREVER to grow that line back in and it was all for nothing. I'm so annoyed. She needs more monitoring in the salon, obviously. Just stay away from the younger girl. I have been to few eyebrow threading places in Chicagoland, and have luckily had pretty positive experiences at all of them. Preet Beauties is another place I can add to my rotation of good eyebrow threading salons. The staff is polite and are also great at their craft. The threading is only $6 for eyebrows which is a steal! I think the place at Orland Square is either $10 or $11 for eyebrow threading. For some reason, the eyebrow threading seemed less painful than I am used to, which is a huge plus in my book. The only reason I am not giving the place 5 stars is due to no aloe vera gel at the end of the threading. I'm not sure if they were out of the gel, or if they prefer not to use it in the salon, but I have received it at every other threading salon and I enjoy how it cools down my skin. Not a big deal though. Maybe I'll have to bring a small bottle with me next time. read more

This was my First visit, I went and had the combo eyebrows wax and tinted. Have blondish hair color and asked for similar color for brows but received ALLOT Darker almost Brown. I Told the employee and she immediately tried wiping it Off. Told me go Home and wash it and will become lighter. I did until my eyebrows were sore. I was almost"in shock" never had this dark Eyebrows! In past went and had eyebrows tinted at hair salon when I had my hair colored; also Felt the shaping/waxing wasn't exactly the same. I have to update my review to reflect my frustration with the one younger technician who I have been getting every time I go in. The last 4 times she has threaded my eye brows it has left me with small cuts above my eyes. It's not immediately obvious bc they aren't bleeding but the area scabs up later in the day. The first and second time I chalked it up to a mistake but a third and fourth time are unacceptable. This only happens when she does my brows and I have never had this happen with anyone else who works there. Her threading and tinting is good but the subsequent cuts I get from her is making me want to take my business elsewhere. read more

I got eyelashes extensions here two days ago. Half of my right eye is starting to fall out. I called asking if this could be corrected. The answer was, "You will have to pay to come back and get them put back. We only guarantee eyelashes for 24 hours." Lesson learned. Don't go somewhere that doesn't tell you their guide lines. Great place to get your eyebrows done! I've never had eyebrow threading before, but was open to trying it. I called for an appointment, but was told to just come in. The technician was really skilled and had me finished in probably less than 5 minutes. She made my brows look beautiful and I will be back. If you've never had threading before, it is super uncomfortable (but then, so is waxing, right?). Tips are cash only; so, don't be cheap. Bring cash. read more

The whole experience wasn't the best. I wasn't given privacy to fully unclothe myself for my full body wax and I wasn't given a towel or anything to cover myself with until I asked for one. Leena was a nice lady, but she was the only one working so she was answering calls during my wax and constantly leaving the room to check for people coming in. My wax was over an hour longer than it was supposed to be because she took other clients in the middle of it. So again, there should be another employee present. I also didn't appreciate her obvious annoyance during the wax when she'd ask me to turn more to one side or position my body a certain way and I accidentally turned too much or too little. It's very unprofessional to leave in the middle of my designated time especially after having made an appointment. On top of that, she complained to me about other clients and made it clear she expected a tip. I still gave her one because it's a hard job and I'm sure it's exhausting standing that long, but I won't be back. The results of my wax weren't good. She had missed multiple spots on my legs and arms and it's only been a few days and I can already see some growth. My waxes usually last at least a couple of weeks. I also got my eyebrows threaded. She totally BS'd it and had me on my way so she could get to the next client. I just asked for them to be cleaned up and she did a terrible job. read more

I went in for 2week eyelashes. The lashes on one side fell off and I returned to get them put on again the charge was $10 after spending $40 the day bf. The next day I showered and washed my hair and only let the water run off my face as much as possible and both sides came right off. I ask the black girl at my office why this happened bc hers looked beautiful but she had gone in the city to get hers done. She told me if they didn't use the black hair extension glue it will never stay. Theses girls there at Preet don't know how to put on eyelashes They use clear glue and should get with the times. The clear glue last maybe. Maybe 2 days not two weeks. I didn't want to go back if they were going to charge me $10 even when they have s sign that for ANY reason they will repack the lashes for no cost if u come back within 24 hours. I saw plenty of reviews about eyebrows but I never saw anything about eyelashes so I went to get my eyelashes done and I took the risk DO NOT get your eyelash extensions here you get what you paid for and for 6$ it was a nightmare I went in for a fill since I moved away from my original lady and the lady at preet fucked them up!! She did Not lay my bottom lashes down she even told me to keep my eyes open!! "Try not to blink for at least a minute " end quote she got glue in my eyes my top lashes were glued to my bottom lashes making it painful to try and open my eyes and when I asked her to help me she kept saying "your fine your fine" only when I was still struggling she laid me back and helped pry my eyes open. Do not go to this place for lashes!!!! They do not know anything about shaping and just threw lashes anywhere not even filling the gaps I had very unprofessional and clearly didn't know what she was doing! read more
