I was referred to Epiphany and supported as a black owned business. I loved the look of the lashes…read moreshe did on the person that referred me and even though I thought her prices are high for working out of her apartment I still secured future appointments by booking in advance. I also respected her hustle and overlooked her running her business out of her apartment living room. After she did lashes my eyes burned so badly I was getting migraines and I removed them immediately myself. I told Epiphany and she never refunded me, she told me she would change the lash glue on my next visit. I should have NEVER gone back, but I did. I found that Epiphany is not at all sympathetic, she is VERY unprofessional and does not understand the definition of CUSTOMER SERVICE. Epiphany would ask that I adjust my scheduled appointments but if an emergency arises at work for me and asked to reschedule that would not happened and I would loose my deposit. Epiphany behaved so poorly its like I knew she was having personal problems and would bring that negative energy on to me as a customer. Epiphany, I would advise you to stay humble and do better. The same GOD that promotes you can take it all away.

My daughter traveled from Michigan to Maryland to get her hair done by a stylist operating here ("Naughty Locs / Naughty Hair Boutique"). What she experienced was absolutely unacceptable. The stylist took a $200 deposit, repeatedly canceled with excuses, lied about arrival times, and then completely disappeared on the day of the appointment -- leaving my daughter stranded in a city she doesn't know. When we requested a refund, the stylist sent a fake refund screenshot, and Cash App confirmed that no refund was ever issued. The money is gone, and the stylist refuses to correct the situation. No parent should have to see their child taken advantage of like this. This isn't just about one stylist -- it's a warning to anyone thinking of patronizing businesses in these suites. There is no oversight, no accountability, and clearly no screening of who is allowed to operate here. That creates an environment where dishonest people can take advantage of customers who trust them. Please protect yourself and your money. You have the option of going to Heather's in-home studio or her/staff member coming to your home (for an additional price). I opted for Heather to come to my home. A down payment was required and I was set. She arrived promptly on time and we hit it off instantly. Heather has a very warm and welcoming spirit and her vision for my make-up was spot on with my cocktail attire. As stated before, she did a PHENOMENAL job! We talked about a variety of skincare products, make-up options I could do on my own, and brands that aren't often sought after but are really good. A few months later she had a special make-up presentation at her home and she invited me to attend...just a classy and business savvy lady. I can tell she appreciates her clients and I definitely appreciate her! She's doing big things in the make-up game and I'm glad she was able to assist me on my look that evening. It was a pleasure to work with her on my make-up for my professional headshots. She earned the title "melanin matcher" because she can perfectly match your foundation. She helped me find my perfect summer and winter foundation match. I still use the foundation she matched for me. I would recommend her to everyone and for all make-up needs. She also does personal beauty product shopping trips, gives great tips on her IG, and is just an amazing person.

Their rewards system awards 1 point each visit. After 10 visits, you earn $10 off of your service. GTFOH, are you serious? Consider how much people spend each visit and it only benefits the shop and not the customer. Focused on the number of people service and not the quality of the service.
