Sleep Better Maryland - Home of CPAP alternative!

I found Sleep Better Maryland back in May 2020. My cardiologist had ordered a home sleep test and…read morewas very dismissive when I asked why, I then found out that the results were in when I received a call to be fit for a CPAP mask. I was furious. Knowing how I sleep, think alligator in a death roll, I knew I was not a candidate for a CPAP, and I also didn't want to be burdened by the costs and maintenance that the machine demands. So, I started looking for a better option and managed to learn about oral appliances for sleep apnea. On my first visit, Dr. Parmar spent the time necessary to explain apnea and more importantly what my results were and what they meant. I was finally being treated like someone with a brain who deserved answers and explanations. An exam, photos and scan (so cool) followed as the first steps toward treating my apnea and freedom. Dr. Parmar was patient even though I wasn't the best patient at first. The adjustment and pulse-ox tests were annoying the first time around. I went back after I broke my device (it did a triple lindy in off the sink) had it sent off for a repair and as it had been 3 years repeated the sleep study and ordered a new device. I now have a backup should something happen, which was nice as the new device broke in short order due to a design issue. My 2nd sleep study, adjustments, and pulse-ox tests all went much better than the first time, the devices were smaller, had fewer wires and were much easier to use. My oral appliance is easy to care for, just brush it and soak once a week, it's easy and comfortable to use, and most importantly it works based on both the pulse-ox study and my wife's lack of complaints about snoring when I use it. Easy to pack and travel with, no issues with TSA unlike a friend who has his CPAP disassembled each flight.

Fantastic service by the staff and Dr Parmar, I believe they care for you and your well-being…read more Since receiving my dental device I don't snore anymore, wake up feeling better, and use it, unlike the CPAP device that I tried.

Please DO NOT GO HERE, at least in the Greenbelt office! I ignored all of the negative reviews only…read moreto realize all the bad things about this office is true. Here's a quick breakdown: 1. The office LITERALLY does not return phone calls (except when they call to charge you money for giving you test results over the phone). 2. They charge for EVERYTHING, including CALLING ABOUT RESULTS ($80 for calling about results) 3. They are unapologetic about their poor service causing over a month delay in getting desperately needed medical supplies. 4. They only care about money and use underhanded and unethical tactics to get your money. 5. Patient care, at least in my case, is not a priority at all at this office. 6. The representative of my insurance provider said that this particular provider often receives many complaints. The office manager, Teresa, apparently works remotely and cannot be called directly. Unfortunately, she never returns phone calls, even though billing and other issues are incorrect. That is not how you should conduct any business, especially when there is a major problem. Look, I don't like putting people on blast, especially in this economy, but BEWARE! They do not disclose that calling to give you results is an office visit. If you feel that this office has deceived you or grossly treated you unfairly, please contact the Maryland Board of Physicians who governs them. You can either Google Maryland Board of Physicians, or go to the following website (if Yelp allows links): https://www.mbp.state.md.us/resource_information/res_con/resource_consumer_complaints.aspx. If this review helps even one person avoid this horrible experience, it means I've done something right. To others who are still considering this office, ignore this warning and the others at your own risk. Both your mental health and wallet will be worse off.

If you want neglect, ENT services at ENT & Sleep Specialists in Greenbelt has the doctors for you…read moreif you want excruciating pain to continue w/out them wanting to lift a finger to help the patient. I am furious about the neglect from the Greenbelt office - I waited for a month for a referred specialist visit for excruciatingly painful ulceration under my tongue that had healed in the month of waiting for appointment but the excruciating pain persisted in glands underneath jaw, the doctor told me that since it healed, that there was nothing he could do! He didn't try to help me at all, ENT & Sleep Specialists made me feel desperate to leave and find another doctor somewhere else that would help me. He barely gave me an examination at my insistence. Never got my neck palpated, no tests done, barely got an examination, it's been two months since my visit and I'm still in pain; I had to see another doctor to find someone that cared because quite honestly, I felt like they didn't care at ENT & Sleep Specialists office, and if they do, they need to step-up, because they totally neglected me into seeing my PCP the next day and am seeing another doctor to figure out what ENT & Sleep Specialists should've done. BECAUSE OF THIS, I DO NOT RECOMMEND ENT & SLEEP SPECIALISTS IN GREENBELT, MARYLAND, it will be a waste of your time and money and you'll still be in pain, like they did to me.

The Sleepytime Consultant - Get your baby sleeping through the night!

Just do it, it's life changing. This is one of the best decisions I made as a parent, for our whole…read morehousehold. Our baby is sleeping 11 hours at night with no wake-ups, with 3 hours of naps with clockwork consistent timing. I truly believed our son was just on the very low end of the sleep needs range. At 10 months old, he was still going to bed late, waking 2-4 times a night, and waking up early in the morning. We read a lot online about sleep routines and optimization of the sleep environment. We tried non-stimulating activities before bedtime. We tried "drowsy but awake". Nothing made an appreciable difference. It felt like we'd tried everything and exhausted online resources. We were in desperate need of consistent and continuous sleep. Admittedly, I previously felt pressured by a lot of the recent social media posts saying sleep training is harmful and unnatural. These claims are NOT backed by science by the way. I was wary that sleep training would be synonymous with "cry it out" and did not want my baby to feel abandoned. Thankfully, Kendra provided precise and gentle sleep training instruction. There were some tears, but we were in the room with him to provide comfort as we both learned a new skill together. The differentiators were (i) having a very detailed plan that I could follow, not just general concepts, (ii) receiving benchmarks of how long he would take to go down and how long certain phases would last, and (iii) having a resource to ask questions to as bespoke situations arose. Kendra's plan and support has given me the confidence to handle nighttime sleep and naps like a pro. She has given me back crucial nighttime sleep, so I can continue to work to my fullest potential and give tons of energy to my son during playtime. She's taken away the fear of "solo parenting" while my husband is away on travel for work.

We reached out to Kendra for help after our 8 month old was not sleeping through the night and we…read morewere just exhausted. Kendra was able to answer all of our questions and offered great support and advice throughout the two weeks we worked with her. After a few days in we finally had our first night of no wake ups!
