Damon put together a fabulous itinerary and we had a delicious lunch at Brasswood and discovered an incredible new (to us) winery, Parallel Wines. If Damon suggests this itinerary for you, don't hesitate, do it!! We were supposed to have a sub who was a sommelier and he seemed really fun. He unfortunately got sick right before the day we had scheduled, so we had a third person, Louis. Louis was pleasant, although he didn't engage with us much. Gosh, I don't even know where to begin! Booking with Damon was so easy and effortless. We traveled with 6 people ages 69-37 and most of us had never been to this part of California. We had no idea which wineries to book so when I ran across Bliss Wine Tours on TripAdvisor, I felt like I had won the lottery! Damon sent me a list of questions for our group to answer so he could put together an itinerary for us to review. We didn't change a thing and I'm sure glad we didn't. Every single winery had something different to offer and was a unique experience. We traveled to 6 different wineries over 2 days and I was worried we wouldn't get enough wine. That fear was completely incorrect as we left every day feeling like we got to taste plenty of wine! We tasted wine in many different places. The first place was a warehouse - which sounds weird but it was the coolest experience. There was the cutest table setup for us right beside the barrels. The winemaker let us try so many wines and we even got to try it directly from the barrel! They also served the most delicious cheeses! The other places we got to do wine tastings were inside a more rustic barn right by the vineyard with the cutest pug as one of the hosts. The human host got out his guitar and sang songs for us which was the biggest treat! The next day we were in a wine cave! It was probably the coolest thing I've done! The wine was amazing and so was the ambiance. Next we went to the prettiest winery and sat outside on a covered patio. It was rainy and cold but they had plenty of heaters and the coziest blankets. This was a wine and food pairing and the food was top notch! Our whole group loved it even though we have picky eaters. Damon arranged all of these tours for us and his driver Jon was phenomenal. He knew so much about wine and the local area. We loved being with someone so passionate about his job. Damon also arranged transportation from the SFO airport to the hotel in Sonoma. We had Colton as our driver and he was also personable and wonderful. If you have a choice, definitely book with Damon at Bliss Wines. You will not be disappointed! Best trip ever! read more

Myself and 4 girlfriends decided to plan a bucket list trip to Napa. A business contact of mine was headed out to Napa before myself and said he had booked a day with Bliss Wine Tours. I didn't have any other recommendations, so I went for it and sent the owner an email. Within a week or so he had provided me with a suggested 2 day winery tour itinerary based off of the groups' preferences for wine. Since this was my first trip, I said "I trust you, book em!" Boy - I had no idea what a treat we were in for. Every single stop, every single sip of wine just exceeded my expectations. I'm still dreaming of this trip and can't wait to go back. Last, but most certainly not least...I want to give a huge shout out and much appreciation to our driver, Gary. What a heck of a guy! He put up with 5 of us 30 something females who thoroughly enjoyed imbibing wine at each stop and sang 90's pop music at the top of our lungs pretty much anytime we were in the car! The last we used, however, was less than stellar and since then we've been hesitant on using/trying another one. We have tried semi-private and group tours and all have been wonderful, but during our last trip to Napa, we decided to go private. Upon searching both yelp and tripadvisor, one company caught our eye, and when we called to inquired, it was a new business ran by our favorite tour guide, Damon! (See past review for Beau) My husband and I couldn't be any happier! Damon was able to take us on yet another tour - customized to our liking, of course! We visited one of our "musts" in Napa and as usual, Damon had great recommendations as well - and not just of wineries, but restaurants and local spots to boot. It is a very rare occasion where I say to myself, "I wish yelp had 10 stars", this is one company that would get all 10. We've been a fan of Damon for many years, prior to starting Bliss, he had taken us around Napa before, so when it was time to head back to paradise, Damon was my first call and I was pumped to hear he started his own tour company. We've experienced many wine tours, in Napa and other regions, we travel for wine. Most of the time I feel that the tour companies try and sway you towards certain vineyards for the wrong reasons, they listen to your suggestions but provide itineraries that they like. That's great if done for the right reason, that the wine is amazing, sadly that is not always the case. Then, there is Damon and Bliss Wine Tours, sure it helps that he knows Napa in and out, sure it helps that he has a culinary background, sure it helps that everybody loves him, but his best quality, in my mind, is that every time we see him he can't wait to share his passion and excitement for the region. Our exchange usually goes like this: Me - We are headed your way, I'd love to hit blank, blank and blank and then I'd love a small winery and something really special. (You can see I am very descriptive.) Damon - Awesome, just give me the dates you are here. I'll book your tastings at blank, blank and blank, let's talk about your other requests...I know of a small family run vineyard, the person pouring your wine will have the same last name as the label...something special, hmm, right now it is (insert seasonal event, harvest, planting, etc.) such and such has an amazing tour/tasting right now. If that works for you I can set it up and if we have time, we can pop into a more casual winery on the way back. Also check out these menus, I'll pick up lunch for you. (Then Damon goes to describe everything new that we should see and do since our last visit.) Me - Go for it, sounds great, you are the chef, whatever you recommend for lunch works. We can't wait! Then on the tour day, Damon arrives promptly in his shiny new ride, is a true professional and proceeds to explain the day, whether a novice or connoisseur, Damon can speak your language. You arrive at your first vineyard and the staff greet Damon as if their long lost child has returned, everybody knows and loves him, which often results in something "special" at the tasting. There are never any surprises and the day goes off without a hitch, every winery Damon has recommended has been so great that I think we've joined all their clubs. Traveling through Napa with Damon is like having a wine guru friend who is in the business and will take you around to all the hidden gems that don't often make it out of Napa. The day wraps with Damon giving you something mind blowingly awesome that he "happened to bake last night". We had chocolate truffles last time that were out of this world. A few days later when you are all sad and miserable to be home, you get an email from Damon with some photos he took, it is the perfect way to relive your time in the valley. He took us to 4 wineries that we would have never found ourselves and had very intimate tastings. All the wineries were amazing and small producers where you could only get the wine from them. After learning what types of wines and wineries we like, he set up all the appointments and we didn't have to do a thing. Since we were in from out of town, we knew little about which wineries would be worth our while. He picked out really awesome places with great wine and great scenery.
