Both doodles were perfectly groomed...which is hard to find these days. The schedule for drop off and pick up didn't interfere with my work schedule and my dogs were not sitting in cages all day waiting to be groomed. We entered and I filled out the form, they immediately had us meet another associate at the wash bowl who was extremely sweet and patient and walked us through how the facility worked. She was really kind, and I don't remember her name but she had glasses, blonde hair & was wearing a yellow and black jersey/or hoodie. She went over everything with us, and showed us how to handle our dog Louis in the wash basin since it was his first visit. She went above and beyond to help us and we were in and out in about 30 minutes. Not once did we feel rushed or pressured they were really nice and kind to both us & Louis. We brought our English Bulldog for a self bath and we loved it. We were greeted right away and escorted to the back where they provided us with instructions on how to use everything. In addition, they provide everything for you like shampoo, conditioner,ear cleaner, towels, brushes etc.. The tubs are very spacious as well. They also provide full grooming services and from what we saw when we were there, they do a pretty awesome job because the doggies leaving from there looked like they were ready for a dog show. I have been going here many years now bringing both my Goldens for grooming. I can't say enough about good things about the ownership and her employees. They are beyond fabulous and always take excellent care of my babies. They have never had a bad hair cut here unlike other places i used in the past where my dogs would come home bleeding behind their ears where they cut them. Great place to bathe your dog without the big mess to clean up. They provide big bath tubs with nice water pressure, shampoo, rinse, ear cleaner, absolutely everything needed to bathe your dog and have them nice smelling when you leave. The people are extremely nice and make you feel comfortable. they have a little shop there too and we bought lots of chewy stuff for our girls to bring home. My one girl always carries her special treat out to the car, it's so cute. They have great dryers too! I have huskies and have been to other self bath places and their dryers are ridiculous and take forever to dry your dog. These were super. Reasonable prices for what they offer. When you searching for a vet you should talk to the person who is going to groom your dog. I don't take my dog regularly to the groomer. Since during summer time I trim very short and doesn't need to be groom. My first visit few visits were good with this location. However, I didn't know my groomer changed to the big chubby guy. YOU ALWAYS CHECK YOUR DOG BEFORE YOU LEAVE ANY VET. I just assume they did regular job. NO! That groomer have pinched my dog more that 10 places. So learn from my lesson, check your dog before you leave that place. I learn from my friend that this place never clean dog's ear hair, too. read more

I was excited to take my dog here to utilize their self service washing. Online it looked awesome like they offered many different things to use such as conditioner, toothbrushes/toothpaste, and nail clippers. When I arrived the staff was pretty friendly, but what I had access to was only two pretty diluted shampoos and ear cleaner (pretty sure it's witch hazel or something). Not a terrible place just highly disappointed in what was advertised online versus what I actually had access to. I'd probably recommend to call and verify what you actually have access to before making an appointment. read more

I am positive these guys/girls are great, professional dog groomers. I would in fact LOVE to use them. Unfortunately, they are booked through March 30th...yes you heard right, March 30th, when it is only Feb 26th. Over a month!! Is there nowhere else in Flower Mound that does professional dog grooming?!? This I am not sure, but if I were the owner of Blissful Bark I would add a second location and/or more groomers for their current location. As a businessperson, I shudder to think of that much $$ being left on the table. Note to owner: If you are to add more groomers and/or another location, I would love to use your services. read more

I really tried to make Blissful Bark my go-to groomer when we had some higher maintenance dogs - a male Bouvier, and a large female Golden Doodle, but I could not live with having to make an appointment three to four months in advance. I preferred having them groomed about every 2 months, but even as a regular customer, they could not accommodate our needs. I have been taking my two Japanese chin with Alicia for a couple years. I am so sad that now that we moved they are too far for us. They are great. Alicia does an awesome job with the doggies and they treat them very well. No cages, no drying cages! Thank goodness. I will miss them a lot. They are super busy. So the only issue is to be able to get an appointment the first time. You might have to wait a few weeks before you can get in. Once you are established they will give you all your appointments several months in advance at a time. I have been taking my Cocker Spaniel, Cody, to Blissful since 2011. When I started at Blissful, I had a list of demands for grooming that I expected. Let's just say all my standards have been met. Cody has been groomed every two weeks, since that time. When we get ready for our appointment, I'll ask Cody; "Are you ready to go see Taylor?". Cody gets excited and is ready to go. When your dog has been groomed almost 130 times since 2011, you become part of my extended family. Since I got Charlie, Dachshund, in 2015; he has been getting his baths at Blissful. I keep him on the same schedule as Cody; therefore Charlie gets a bath every two weeks. Now they both get excited when we go to the dog wash. While Cody is being groomed, Charlie likes to try to play with Blaze and look out the front window. I have had 3 groomers in the past with Cody. Blissful has been by far the best and I woudn't think of changing. The comfort level with the staff and how they treat my boys is awesome. Took my dog for a "do it yourself" bath this morning.They helped me get set up at a bathing station & provide everything needed - shampoo, ear cleaner, towels, brushes, blow dryer, etc. The groomers will also trim your dogs nails if you ask (be sure to tip them). We were in & out in 40 minutes. Very reasonable pricing - $19 for my medium-sized fuzzy dog. They also offer full grooming services (by appt) & have your pet ready within 1-2 hours, so they are not stuck in a cage all day. Will be back! read more

I love this place! My "BOYS" love them too! All of the staff are excellent, caring, dog loving people! Max can be a 'little' difficult but they are also so encouraging and positive that my anxiety of leaving him there is all but gone! PLUS, unlike other grooming salons, my Boys aren't in a cage, for hours, waiting in line. Appointment scheduled, 60 minutes later, or close too, my Boys are done! Give them a try! Know your dog and their coat requirements before taking them here. Be prepared to stand your ground when you have to inform the groomers why shaving a double coated breed is ill advised. I took my dogs in dec of 17 and was constantly badgered about how much fun it would be to do lion coats on my double coated dogs. I kept trying to explain why the double coat protects them and that I was only authoring a bath, brush and light trimming. Only for it to fall on deaf ears as the groomer was just pleading because it's fun to shave dogs. Maybe just an isolated groomer, but it makes me weary that they are not familiar with the needs of specific breeds. If you are into self grooming, it's great to have a place and all the materials are there to DIY, just dont use their services. Regardless, I've never been back as the groomer was too pushy and clearly wanted to harm my dogs coat. (My dogs breed can take upwards of 5+ years to fully come in, and not only would shaving it damage this, it would also stop providing the protection designed into the breed for both cold and warm temperatures. This was in the middle of winter and it was cold.) read more
