The Possum Report: Nails to Tails Review I have been to Nails to Tails numerous times, and I would like to make one thing perfectly clear: I approve. Dad used to take me somewhere else for my beauty treatments. Every time we got near their door, I fought him tooth and nail. I mean, TOOTH AND NAIL. Dad apparently thought I was being difficult. I thought I was exercising my constitutional right to refuse bad grooming. Then we found Nails to Tails. Now when Dad says, "Sossum, we're going to see your friends," I beat him to the vehicle. I know exactly where we're going, and I am ready to roll. The people at Nails to Tails treat me good, take care of me, and apparently understand that I am a very important customer with certain standards. So, from me personally: Five stars. & Four paws up. After taking my dog here she was returned to me with blood pooling in both of her eyes. After an emergency vet visit and a hefty vet bill later, the vet explained that she had signs of strangulation and likely fell off the table and was hung. They shaved my Australian Shepard. Who does that? He had a beautiful coat that may or may not grow back right. More than likely it won't. It'll probably grow back fuzzy and not silky. Note to those idiots: An Australian Shepard's coat protects them from both the sun and wind, hot or cold. You never shave the coat off an Australian Shepard it serves absolutely no purpose. Their guarantee is that if you don't love their grooming they'll make it right. How do they expect to make this right!?! Dog lovers beware of this place. read more

I'm all about supporting small local businesses but sadly, I was taking my pets to a large chain groomer for years. I finally had enough and took my pets to Nails 2 Tails. I can't believe I didn't do this years ago. The staff here is very talented and extremely welcoming. On top of everything else the prices are reasonable. read more

The owner's wife totally went off on me in a very aggressive and unprofessional manner that was unwarranted when she heard that I was unhappy with the grooming. I had left detailed written grooming instructions. I expressed that I was unhappy with my dogs cut because it looked kind of like a puppy cut , his feathering cut off and his tail wasn't cut..They said my instructions didn't include length for body,which is true, but the groomer did not come out for me to explain when I dropped him off. Instead they cut him down all over, and cut off all the hair we had grown out after the previous bad cut. I just said I was upset , the cut is too short and I don't understand why they didn't call or text to ask. She told me they'd never groom for us again because I was a complainer. The first two grooms were good I was so upset by today's attno issue, only had a problem with 3 and 4. I left the store in tears. I tried to explain and defend myself to no avail. I am not someone who likes confrontations. I feel if provide written instructions, and have paid for something that isn't right they should fix it. Because I ask for a lot I always tip generously to compensate the groomer for the extra work. I have never once asked for a refund for being unhappy with a groom. I have only ever requested that a groomer do a touch up or correction when possible and in the last 15 yrs with 6 different dogs I have only even requested this a handful of times in my life. I am normally a pretty chill and amicable person who gives people the benefit of the doubt and an opportunity to resolve things . I have never experienced anything like this and would never recommend a business that treats it's customers this way. What happened? The owners wife stormed out of the back to confront me when she heard that I was unhappy. She said her wife was too nice to tell me off so she was going to do it for her. On previous visits I had only ever dealt with the owner Courtney, who seemed great, and had no prior indication that there was any ongoing issue. If they had an issue I don't understand why they didn't say something or decline the appointment request. She blamed me for being impossible to please, my dog for being fidgity, my instructions were nitpicky and insulting and not communicating. In addition she had apparently bad mouthed me and my dog to some other random groomer that I had never heard of or used who supposedly also experienced that we were the problem. I have only ever used 2 other groomers in 15yrs , my last one for 8 yrs without issue and who moved out of the area.As for my dog, springers are fidgety, previous groomers never had an issue. For the first time I gave him trazadon t cerenia to settle him down and left treats to help redirect him during the groom. I have never faulted a groomer for issues related to his fidgeting. She said I should take my dog somewhere that can groom springers or show dog . Now I had confirmed with the owner that they were experienced with grooming springers prior to going there and had been happy with two previous grooms. I had only had 1 problem with a previous groom which the owner and I had amicably resolved with a touch up, or so I thought and as part of that I agreed to provide written instructions in the future which I have done. Even though I had been unhappy groom prior to this I didn't take to the internet to give them bad reviews or bad mouth them in the community because I believed it to be an anomaly with extenuating circumstance and did not believe it was representative of their normal work.i worked with the owner to address it In fact I had previously recommended them based on my first two grooms. I almost never leave bad reviews for anyone unless it's something egregious. This attack was. I'm posting photos of last 2 grooms. Update As a result of my negative review here and on other platforms I am being cyber bullied,maligned, threatened with being blackballed with other local groomers, by friends of this business . Response to owner: I am not talking about your customers stating positive reviews or your out of town family members. I received personal attacks, hateful and threatening direct messages your supporters that I reported , blocked and deleted. There were personal attacks from someone who seemed to be your friend who made false accusations that I committed a crime of neglect, insinuated that I could be sued, and attacked my character in another public forum. This person claimed no affiliation but had specific information about me , my dog, this incident where only 2 people besides me were present, knowledge that seemed could only come from someone in your business sharing that my info and maligning me to others . My dogs look beautiful when they leave Nails to Tails! The workers are friendly and love my dogs, despite having to wear masks, which they do. The turn around time is amazing. My girls (large doodles) are in and out within three hours. read more

Courtney and her team are amazing! You can tell they truly care about the safety of the pets in their care. We can't say enough great things about Nails 2 Tails. They even pointed out a health concern on one of my babies, which I decided to take her to the vet for. We found a cancerous tumor growing and immediately had it removed. They made my baby look great AND saved her life! I wouldn't trust anyone else to take care of my pets. Thank you, Nails 2 Tails! read more

Very happy with every full groom of our goldendoodle. Other places have had to shave but Nails 2 Tails does a great job and has never had to shave our pup! Always friendly, even responsive over text message for scheduling appointments. We do drop in nail trims also. read more

The owner changed and with that service changed! Don't be fooled in believing the same type of caring is given to your important family member like I did! Made promises for health issues with my 3 dogs and didn't do as promised! At the front desk is the same polite short blonde gal running everything, however, her follow through failed for what she promised to meet for service for my 3 senior dogs whom have cancer, congestive heart failure and the third is 18 yrs old and very fragile and scared. All three have severe anxiety but more importantly, cannot be crated due to medications they are on where they must urinate frequently and drink water frequently. She told me she would finish them quickly and I could return to pick them up to prevent being crated. I also requested if she had to initially crate them for first minutes (since I did have an appointment at noon), then to keep the one with congestive heart failure and cancer together (both shih tzus). Just as I did under previous ownership, requested her not to crate them and requested to allow them to be on floor in grooming salon to prevent high stress since the one with cancer will bleed with stress. She promised they would be taken care of. In the past when I have scheduled at Happy Dog Spa (same management different owner), this same gal and her staff took care of them allowing them to be on floor in grooming salon and always groomed them within 2 hrs and I picked up immediately. I walked in to review All of these items with her on Thursday and told her if it was a problem on a Saturday, then I can come another day. She assured me it was no problem. This time I never heard after 2 hrs (2pm), stopped by to see how it was going and my dogs were not where she promised. Instead, they were crated with no allowance of urination nor water. This was critical to their health. I left since there was a line of people to the door picking up, but this gal seemed distressed when seeing me and only told me they had issues with my dog with cancer and they were not ready to be picked up. Something about he could not continue blow drying due to stress. She should have called me then! Turns out she kept them in the crates entire time, and at three hours, I tried calling 5 times and no answer. At 3pm, I drove there again and walked in to find only two groomers working, my dogs were not up front like promised and I could see the one with cancer in a crate by himself in back because the back door was wide open. (Also not what was promised to me two days before appointment and same day with my husband present to witness her promises as well. After they were not picking up the phone after five attempts, And, did not follow through my special requests and more importantly their promises, due to their ailing health issues, I was extremely angered. The long haired brunette female groomer and dark haired male groomer (both young) did not care and wouldn't even help. Infact, the girl said things no one wants to hear when they receive poor customer service after being promised. She told me I shouldn't have brought them in on a Saturday in a short, snappy cynical tone. Apparently she did not know I ran through All of these requests prior to booking a few days before and Who In the World says this to a customer when they are in the wrong?! Also same snotty girl, also said they were all groomed and hair cut. Only one was bathed and cut, second was only bathed (but had splatters of dried feces on his body in random places) and third was not even touched after 3.25 hrs of having them from my appointment time. She also snapped at me and told me I should have bathed them myself! This makes No Sense because I thought that is what their business was for!! The blonde gal quickly rushed each one out to me and did not say anything rude like the other two young groomers with attitudes in the salon mentioned above. She still was kind, however, she no longer has my trust with my babies since she made promises twice for this appointment, has done the same in past for me, and assured me I should not worry. This is not being run the same as before and now appears they are running it like a conveyor belt....first bathing, then placing back in crate to be in line to groom once a groomer is available. This is not how they managed the salon before, because I always picked up within 2 hrs before!!! And this time only 1 of 3 bathed fully and only one actually groomed with haircut! Which I might add, was NOT a good haircut for a professional grooming salon. I have been going to various groomers for 13 years with them. No one should feel that their dogs health is jeopardized in their hands. The minute I got home with my dogs they had to urgently pee and drank a lot of water!!
