My Yorkie is very particular about his haircut, and once he bonded with her, that was it. He always comes out fluffy, happy, and looking perfect. Do not bring your dog here to get groomed. We have had two awful experiences here with their only groomer, Amy. I'm not gonna lie, she does a great haircut, but Amy is not a people person or a dog person and that's not someone you want to be your groomer! The first time I brought my dog in for her first haircut, Amy was very rude to me and didn't even say hello to my dog-she just took the leash and walked away with her. I thought it was very strange but didn't know since this was my first time bringing a dog to the groomers. I like to give the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe Amy was having a bad day and that's understandable. Then this most recent second time, I had my husband bring our dog and he had the same experience that Amy was very rude and didn't even greet our dog, give her a pet, or anything. When he was trying to give her instruction on the haircut we wanted, she responded with no expression "put her up there on the table". That was it and he left. After pick up, they recommend (for the second time) that I sedate my 10 month old puppy in order to give her a haircut. I recommend, instead, that Amy put a smile on it and at least pretend to like dogs so that my dog can feel more comfortable. She does not need to be sedated- She's a 20 pound sweet puppy at the groomers for the second time and doesn't know this lady that is not trying to build any sort of relationship of comfort with her. I shared my thoughts with the owner Susie who said they are well aware that Amy is not a friendly person, but that she gives a good haircut and is going to be there for the next 14 years. I said good luck with that and that we will be moving on from them as our groomer. If it's important to you to have your dog comfortable at the groomer, have a nice person grooming your dog who actually likes dogs, etc., do not use this place. read more

Horrible experience. I have never left a comment about any business before now. I was taken advantage of. I was quoted $70.00 For the breed, size, weight. I was charged $140 I brought her in The person I spoke to was not working that day. The groomer was very short with me and she ended up shaving her. Three months later I just took her to the vet today, and they couldn't believe what the groomer did to her fur. I spoke to the manager about charging double the price and he had no explanation. I havent used their boarding service so I can't speak for it. Grooming pricing is better compare to some of the others. I usually paid $60 everywhere. Here is $51!!! reasonable. Thats why I love this place! the owner is very nice. Groomer....needs to work on her customer service. the place looks clean from what I saw from the groomer. The boarding side was behind a wall so I couldn't see. This is not a no cage groomer so your dogs will be crated. I've had really good experiences here! I take my dog here for nail trims. It is reasonably priced and they treat my dog very well.

This place is HORRIBLE!!!!! To start the brushing & nail trim requested were not done, and that's just the beginning. When my husband went to pick up our Shiba, the staff could not catch her, my husband went into the large room to get her (pretty sure they should not have allowed him to do that for liability reasons) but the untrained staff didn't know any better. Upon entering the large room my husband was attacked by another dog, not once, but twice as again the untrained staff did nothing. I wouldn't recommend this horrible place to my worst enemy!!!! We have been coming here regularly for a year now. We take our pup here at least twice a week and she LOVES it. I love that they have cameras up so you can check in on your fur baby throughout the day. Also, they are very patient with my crazy work hours and running close to 6pm for pick up. I literally cannot even begin to tell you how much we love this place. They arent just a doggy day care, its like leaving your fur babies with family. I have a "nervous high energy" dog, and he feels very comfortable here! When we pull up, Bandit runs in and goes straight to the door that leads to the day care room, so he can hang with the other pups. Boarded our two dogs here recently and really liked the staff here. I had taken my dogs here a few days before boarding for the evaluation day and was happy with the staff. Then when I came to drop my dogs off for boarding I was pretty surprised when my dogs were immediately recognized by name as soon as I walked in. The staff is always friendly towards me and my dogs whenever I've come in and they all seem to care about the dogs that are there. When I picked my dogs up they both seemed very well taken care of and were both tired but not extremely exhausted (meaning they probably get naps during the day which is good). The only down side was the grooming price. I did have my one dog get a bath and the other groomed (shaved down). I've been getting the one dog shaved down to keep his coat short for the past 5 years. We've lived in 4 different states during that time and I've never paid more than $65. I was a little surprised when I was charged $90 here (55lb dog), so that seemed extremely pricey to me, especially since I've been told by almost every groomer my dog doesn't make a sound and is very good. This was my first time getting him cut in Texas so maybe that's the prices here but I'll probably shop around for grooming. I will say the groomer did do exactly what I asked for, so I was happy about that and I do think it's worth the convenience at least if I'm already boarding them. All in all I highly recommend them! This is definitely the place I'll be taking my dogs to board going forward, and possibly groomed. read more

I took my 3 year old Morkie Emme to day camp for the first and only time and never again. For starters when I walked in the place smelled so bad. They didn't show me around the place they just took my Emme to the back and into the main room for small dogs. So i asked where do the dogs stay during day camp and she replied they stay in the same area all day. They play, eat, sleep, poop and pee all in the same area, we just keep mopping the floor after them. The mop was in the bucket and the water in it was BLACK and smelled of dog pee. I thought to myself how unsanitary and filthy it all sounded. I was late for work and with histation I was forced to leave my Emme there for the day. When I returned to pick her up, she was frantic and traumatized and smelled like dog pee. I was mortified and quite upset. They returned her food to me untouched and said Emme didn't want her food. I had a few words with them as I could not contain myself at their careless and nonchalant attitude about how they cared for these beautiful dogs. As other customers started coming in to pick up their pets, they're tone changed and told me that I didn't owe them anything as the first visit was free as if we were on good terms! I just walked out and I will never bring my precious pup there again. read more

My pup Chopper loves this place! I went in on my own to check the place out, and the friendly staff member that was at the desk gave me a tour, showing me the play areas, the grooming area and the boarding area. They have different "suites" (no crates) depending on your dog's needs. Even the small suites are huge! He's a Boston Terrier, so he's a little smaller. They have separate play areas for big dogs and little ones, and you can watch them play. The area is kept very clean. One pup had an accident in the play area which was cleaned and mopped immediately. You get one free trial day camp day with boarding, just so they can observe how your dog interacts with others. Your pup does have to have the required shots, and they have an inexpensive vaccination service there once a month for convenience. I love that my dog is exhausted when I pick him up! Chopper loves this place, and I feel comfortable leaving him here for the day or overnight. Only great things to say! read more

I love Dog's Day Out! We take our maltese/shih tzu here for all his grooming needs. On the off occasion that we have taken him elsewhere, his haircut always looks haphazard and sloppy. We are always happy with the job that Amy does and the customer service at Dog's Day Out is wonderful. They are always friendly and accommodating, and they are one of the rare places that you can actually call up and get an appointment on the same day. I first took my puppy to Dogs Day Out in Lewisville when they first opened for business. I can't tell you how GREAT the service and people are there! My puppy was spoiled rotten. Often times, when I came to pick her up, she would be sitting at the front getting loved on by the staff. The owner, Suzy, is one of the sweetest, dog-lovingist (if that's a word) people I have ever met. I now live in Keller, but am going out of my way to bring my puppies to board there because I know they will get the best treatment possible. I HIGHLY recommend this facility! read more

Great place for dogs! We take our 3 standard poodles for both grooming and boarding for the last several years. We like that they get an opportunity to mingle w other dogs, as they are pretty social. The grooming is awesome and we've. We've been really happy ... A much much better grooming cut than Petco. I met Susan the owner, she runs a really tight ship and was very helpful when we had a problem w our vacation plans and had to have a emergency adjustment to our boarding schedule. We would of paid almost $300 more at our old breeder but dogs day out said no problem, we won't charge additional fees for the schedule bumble. We also like that the groomer is on site everyday. Of course I'm spoiled that DDO is on the way to the airport. Makes it too easy! read more

Okay so this is my review again because it disappeared because the business reported it, and I feel the public should be aware. And if for some reason this post is removed, I will expand my reviews of my experience to this business in other areas. The public should be aware of the truth when making decisions about their own pets. So my dog was boarded here and in their care my dog was attacked by another dog during dog play time. Dogs should be adequately supervised in recreation time so this does not occur. She is still not fully healed a week later and has lost the tip of her ear. It was time for my 5 month old cocker spaniel to get his first grooming experience. I called and they were more than happy to take on the challenge. They were able to get him in the next day to easily work with my schedule. My puppy isn't very socially experienced and that was the main reason I wanted him to get groomed. The entire staff was very accommodating to his scared behavior and he instantly calmed down. Within 3 hours I received a call that he was ready. His cut was exactly what I was hoping for! The groomer was also knowledgable in his breed and knew to cut the hair away from his ear to lessen the likeliness of an ear infection. So extremely impressed with them! I recommend them to anyone! The facility also had a boarding area that was rated #1 in the area. I will probably look into their breeding services if we go out of town. I was fortunate enough to find this wonderful place that is close to work and home. I love taking my two labs there for day camp or for boarding. I was very picky about where to take my dogs. I previously worked for a vet clinic that also had the capabilities of boarding my dogs when we went away. After moving to the area I needed a place where they could go and I would also have peace at mind. The great thing about Dogs Day Out is they get to play with the other dogs all day and then go in their own private suites at night. I also have to mention that after the second time of coming in, they already knew my dog by name. It was a comforting feeling that they take the time and love what they do. The staff is always more than friendly and helpful when last minute trips come up. I would recommend this place to anyone!!! read more

Ive been involved with this business for 6 years. The facilities are clean, the set up is the only simultaneous indoor/outdoor facility in the metroplex. Most other daycares either have an outdoor area and an indoor area and the dogs are moved back and forth depending on the weather. This location, the dogs can play and go in and out as they please. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and the groomer is amazing. Love Miss Amy! My dog is exhausted after a full day of play and its nice that after work we can both go home and relax. read more

Took our little dog here for grooming, and will NEVER come back! 1. The place looks/feels very unkept and uncomfortable for pets. 2. The staff is unprofessional. The groomer even told is it was worthless to get our dog a haircut to keep cool in the summer. "They can breath through their fur." Wow. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! How uneducated and illogical - your job, at the very least, is to know that. 3. When we were ready to pay - and hadn't even gotten/seen our dog - the front-desk personell flat-out said "how much do you want to leave for a tip?" 1. Don't assume we're giving one, and 2. let us see our baby, first. 4. The website said "breed-specific" haircut, yet the groomer made us feel like idiots, asking us to tell her what we wanted, and to be specific about it. Ultimately, she shot us down and said she can either trim or shave, but that's it. 5. The package we paid for wasn't even fulfilled. Two days later, our dog's glands expressed themselves (they were supposed to have done this), he wasn't sprayed with cologne, his ears weren't cleaned, and he didn't have that cute little bandana (Small detail, I know. But it was still part of the price.) 6. He had two nicks and was obviously cut near his crotch - there were three red scrapes; possibly from the shaver or the groomer's nails? It looks painful, and suspicious. Overall - HORRIBLE place. I will never recommend this place to anybody, especially anyone that is protective of their furry family member. read more

I took my dog (Bichon) there for grooming - bathing, cut, nails, etc. The people I met there were nice. But Frankie got an ear infection because, according to the vet, the groomer allowed too much water into Frankie's ears. It was an honest mistake and I wasn't angry. But I called the manager to let him know that even though I asked them to be careful about water in Frankie's ears, etc. ... not to ask to be reimbursed for the vet bill or anything but feedback. I apparently caught him a bad day. He told me I should take Frankie somewhere else ... I agreed with him! read more

We love it here! They take amazing care of my old man. He is a 10 year old Corgi mix who thinks he is a big dog. The suites are nice, even the basic one is good. They have cots in them if you want one so my old man doesn't sleep on the floor, and they have gates instead of chain link fencing on them. They knew him by name after our first visit. The play areas have rubber matting, not just plain concrete so it's softer. They have both inside and outside play areas so there is plenty of fresh air and sunshine. They will give medicine as needed and extra special food if you prefer. I usually add some grooming so he comes home extra handsome. I cannot say enough about how great they are! You should try them out, you and your furbaby will love it. read more
