I saw Nicole for a Brazilian treatment and highlights/cut. I'd used boxed dye (gasp!) twice but she was able to point out the issues and told me the best, lease invasive way to make my hair look and feel healthy. The Brazilian is pure magic and I haven't seen my hair this shiny in years! Her highlights and color were perfect , and she did all in a timely manner! It was my second time getting my hair highlighted by her. She used foils to highlight and to add low lights to my hair. Usually the product is left on for approximately 30 minutes but she left it on for close to an hour if not longer. I did not look at the exact time but I did check a text message I sent to a friend while waiting for my hair to process to see what the approximate time was. As a result of Laura leaving the product on my hair for at least DOUBLE the amount of time she over processed my hair. She basically fried my hair!!! After she shampooed my hair I immediately noticed that my front bang area was super light. It was almost white. Like a platinum blond which I have never been a platinum blond. I am a 42 year old female that has been getting her hair highlighted every couple of months for over 20 years. I have never, ever had an experience like this before. I had to text Laura, since that is the main way that she likes to correspond with clients, the next day to let her know that my bangs were so light that they need to be fixed. This was my first time ever having to do this. I went back to the salon the next day where she added in a few low lights to cover up the white. As a result of this, my bangs were left looking streaky. Wide sections of low light coloring. Basically it looked like a skunk. I wash my hair every couple of days and when I went to wash it I immediately noticed that my hair felt like straw after it got wet. I could barely run my fingers through my hair to shampoo it. Actually I could not get my fingers to go all the way through it because it was so rough. That is when I discovered that she over processed my hair causing damage to it. I had to go to a salon and purchase expensive hair conditioners to try every effort to restore my hair. This has been one of the most upsetting things to ever happen to me. Most women can probably relate to this, but your hair is an important part of yourself and your looks. Too have mine damaged and ruined like this is so upsetting. So another week goes by with more treatments and shampooing to try to restore my hair. Still damaged. Every time I look in the mirror and see my hair I cannot stop thinking about Laura and what she did. I finally decided that I was going to have to talk with her about it which was very difficult for me to do. I liked her as a person and wanted to be able to use her as a stylist but just could not do that based on my experience and the damage caused to my hair. I went by Laura's salon on Saturday January 17 since she usually works on that day. Her salon was closed so I called and left her a voicemail. She finally returned my call on Tuesday, January 20. I explained to her my concern about my hair and they damage that was caused to it from the color being left on too long. I mentioned that I understand that she was working another client in after me but that she should have checked on the processing of my hair and did not. She then says that that's how she feeds her family. That she double books appointments. Okay, come on. I understand that hair stylists double book appointments but most of them either have assistants to help or they will check on the client that is processing to see how it is coming along. I asked Laura if she uses a timer because I saw one on her counter but never heard it go off. She said that if I was sitting there freaking out about my hair then why didn't I say something to her about it. Really? That's what you are going to tell a client? It was her job as a professional to check on my hair. Not me. It's also not the client's responsibility to have to alert the stylist on how to do their job. Hence, I have learned an invaluable lesson. I will always l keep track of the time a product has been on my hair to avoid this ever happening again. I told Laura, that I went back to my original stylist for a hair cut and that she could feel the damage to my hair when she washed it. I told Laura that she encouraged me to contact her to let her know for training purposes that she left the product on my hair too long. Laura apologized and apologized that this happened. She went on so much that it never felt sincere. I know she did not want to be bothered with my hair troubles that she caused. She said that I do not know what to do other than to tell you I'm sorry. I told her that there is nothing that she can do or say to change how I feel about this happening. I mean, I have permanently damaged hair until is grows out (and I have long hair). I told Laura that I do not feel that I should have to pay for the highlight portion since she damaged my hair. She will not refund my money back.

Big clumps of frizzy mess, creases from where she pinned up my hair, it was all frizz!! When asked "what can I fix" I said nothing because it was obvious she just couldn't do it. I called to complain, the girl understood completely said the manager wasn't there but would get back to me. It was a mess, fell out I had to quickly put a curling iron through it myself to look presentable. NO ONE EVEN TOOK THE TIME TO CALL BACK.
