I requested for a price or range of prices and they just wanted me to come in for an appointment and go from there. I wasn't real comfortable with that cause I need to know how much they're expecting me to pay them before I show up. After the salon's response, I do understand prices cary greatly ; but I need at least a price range fir specific services and products you offer over the phone or on-line. I will not take time out of my busy schedule to drive over to your business to receive an in-person consultation. Prices should be easily accessible to customers before they arrive. I cannot recommend Lydia enough for any services offered in the hair salon. She put highlights in my son's hair and did a fantastic job. She is not only super talented but conscientious and fun! I've been the Savvy for my nails a few times now and always a great experience. Everyone I've met from the nail techs to the front desk to the other customers are so warm and kind. It's an overall great atmosphere. They also make sure you leave loving your nails. If you're booking for the first time, I'd advise to book far in advance as they do book up quickly. Also call if you're confused about the services as they have different offerings for nails then places I've gone in the past (like plexi-gel and hand filing). I used to be afraid of getting my hair cut because other places would have me looking like a fool. They cured this fear! Andrea and Pat cut my hair and they're wonderful. I went in to get a blonde streak in my hair (2 months after a black dye had washed out of my hair, bad decision, i know) and Lydia was an absolute trooper! I hate moving. I hate the packing, and the unpacking, and the days/weeks/months of finding your things in weird places (dishes, how did you wind up in the box of stuff for my bedroom closet?). But most of all I hate that I have to find a whole new hair stylist every time I move. Sometimes it takes forever to find the right person -- it took me almost 2 years to find the perfect hair salon in my last city! But somehow I struck gold with Savvy after only a few months of living here. Savvy Salon is a relaxing, beautiful day spa that is perfect for a day of pampering. I had PJ for my hair, and she did a fantastic job achieving the exact look I was hoping for that day. She took her time and paid attention to all of my concerns and questions, and I can say without a doubt that this is one of the best haircuts (possibly the best!) I've ever gotten. Somehow she made my hair look longer and healthier even after cutting off some length, and she cut my hair so that it actually looks good when I wear it curly now. Perfect for the summer months! PJ is a master stylist (I think), so her prices are a little higher than some other stylists, but I wasn't shocked by the price at all. I'd definitely go back to her. If I'm ever on a small budget and need to cut back on some expenses, I'd ask for an understudy, because their prices are flat out amazing. I came back to Savvy a few days later for a mani/pedi using a coupon they sent me. They were accommodating and didn't care at all that I was using a coupon, which is rare at salons in my experience. My afternoon with Kalissa was very relaxing -- I enjoyed some hot tea, some free snacks, and the best pedicure of my life. She did a great job on my manicure and pedicure, and I would definitely go back for another special occasion. Savvy loses one star for a few reasons: (1) While I think their hair prices are very reasonable, I think their other services are all a little pricey. (2) My pedicure smeared horribly as soon as I got home, even though my toes were allegedly dry enough to leave the salon. (3) I got straight up barraged with emails after my first visit, which made my inbox grumpy. However, I also have to note that my shellac manicure (CND Desert Rose) is still alive and well after 1 week of playing with dogs, gardening, cooking, cleaning, and crafting with a hot glue gun. It was my first experience with Ashley', but I will make time and plans to go back. However, she stated it was her personal opinion that I should show proof, even though the mandate states otherwise. However, when asked if that meant she would allow me to return without providing my personal health information, she did not respond. Funny how she believes her personal opinion supersedes the mandate precedence, and will not honor the mandate declaration. UPDATE: Thank you Pat H for you kind and immediate response. I've gone to Savvy for a long time. When I say a long time, I mean that I've been going there for over 20 years. I have never had a problem with them, at all. I visited for a spa treatment (always fantastic work), and I was asked if I needed a mask. I politely declined, stating that I have a medical condition that prevents me from wearing masks. I told the representative that I would be waiting in the spa area (as always). They said ok. The treatment went great. When I had finished, I went to check out, and the same representative told me that their manager told them if I wanted to come back I would need to bring medical documentation. I found this amusing--one because this is a violation of my rights, and two, while back in the spa, there were multiple customers sitting around without their masks on sipping their teas and lattes. I was also informed that the manager was looking for me to remove me before the treatment was even completed. 20 years of service, and now I will never return for another treatment. Hope it was worth it. My medical privacy is none of your business, especially when it makes no difference when your own customers are sitting around maskless behind the main door. I want to thank Savvy immensely for all the hard work that was put forth into getting my daughter's hair back to normal. She went from a blue mess in her hair, to her beautiful brown hair again. Amazing work! She informed me that a whole group of stylists formed a team to work on her hair. The stylists at Savvy are very talented. There's no doubt in my mind that they are the best in LKN. I also want to point out how the front desk staff was also very courteous and professional to me when I called to check in on the progress of my daughter's service. I love Savvy. I have been a regular for over 3 years here. I have had a few disappointing experiences, but as a whole I have been very happy here. The Salon and Spa is very relaxing. I love they have candy, water/coffee/tea and small snacks offered. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and calmed. My disappointments were a cut and color with an understudy who went far from what I wanted. And recently I had an understudy who did not quite understand what I wanted and took off more inches than planned. I gave her another shot and while being friendly and answering questions, she kept pushing for me to cut my hair short and I had already told her I hate my hair short so I stopped seeing her. I also had a manicure and I had an issue with my manicurist smelling so bad of smoke that I just wanted to run away from her. I could smell it when she touched, talked to me, when she moved. It was really hard as a nonsmoker to sit there in that beautiful place with that icky smell! I recently strayed from seeing Katy, an understudy and went to a different salon and was so disappointed!!! For the money the understudy is such a good deal. I have mostly seen understudies and the service is almost always great that I do not even worry about seeing someone else. I am most impressed with them not pushing products. They have salaries so if they suggest a product they really believe it is best for you, not because they get a little something extra for it. I do miss their Super Saturday's which were so much fun and gave a few bonus points for their program. I am disappointed they changed the program to not include services because I found myself coming in more do to earning those extra points. Despite the few small issues I have had I continue going back because there have been so many amazing appointments that make the bad appointments not a big deal. read more

Terrible experience getting facials and chem peels at this facility. Chemical burns that the esthetician tried to cover up and not say a word about as if I wouldn't notice when I got a chance to look in the mirror, to putting a severly orange staining peel on my face that has stained my face, I cannot get the color off and it has stained the blonde in my hair and cannot wash it out. Was a good customer for a long time but today I am absolutely done with that place. read more

I am very finicky about my hair so finding a good stylist is a serious matter for me. I moved to NC under a year ago and went to a few salons based on recommendation and was fairly underwhelmed. A little research and asking the right questions led me to Savvy salon where I was given a few stylist names who keep up their education. I have had 2 cuts with PJ and have gotten so many compliments. This is a well kept salon worth the price. read more

I do not recommend going here. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced.. especially after how much money I've paid for the services. They cancel appointments you make weeks in advance without even speaking to you. No one explains to you how the "membership" works and the VP of the company is the owners daughter so whatever her daughter says is the truth. I adore this salon! My mother is on their email list, so she always gets great deals on services here. When I go home to visit, I stop here to have something done. Usually it's a fantastic massage, but this time I had my hair cut and colored. My hair strays toward strawberry blonde and the ends want to be blonde while the roots really like a dark brown color. I know...it's a very glamorous look. Well, these girls fixed it. They put a permanent color on the roots and a demi-permanent color on the rest. My hair usually rejects color too, but this looks really good. I got some fading, but not to the extent that I was dreading. My hair is now a beautiful, even chestnut brown with real dimension. The cut was simple, but looks nice even when just combed and air-dried. These folks know their stuff and they really want you to be happy about your new look! read more

I have been coming to Savvy for 20 years for the best haircuts, colors, pedicures and facials. I had my first massage at Savvy this week with Ryan. It was incredible. I am fortunate to travel around the world with my job and have gotten massages all round the globe and Ryan's ranks with the best! It was an awesome massage but there were other attributes that set it apart. First, Ryan is gifted. I could tell within minutes he wasn't just trained in massage, it was part of who he was and he knew exactly what different parts of my body needed. Secondly, I have had many relaxing massages, but this one actually imparted peace to me. It was more than just a stress fix, it changed how I felt. Lastly, though this was my first time at Savvy and with Ryan, I could just tell he is a good guy. You feel safe and in good hands with him. Could not recommend more highly. And one more thing, it was probably the best table I have ever been on - top notch. read more

I booked Savvy for my wedding, and everything was beyond fantastic! They were able to schedule all 7 of us to have our hair done at the same time, and everyone's hair looked incredible. Brenda did a phenomenal job with mine-it was exactly what I wanted and lasted the whole day without being painful from all the bobby pins! My bridesmaids and I also got manicures and pedicures the day before the wedding, and the ladies had us laughing the entire time we were there! I discovered Savvy Salon & Day Spa through their Groupon in 2011 for a fusion massage. The fusion massage consists of a full body polish plus a 90 minute massage. Amy was my massage therapist, and she was wonderful! She was by far the best massage therapist I've been to. I went back to her for another fusion massage and a surrender massage, and they were both great. I also went back to Savvy Salon & Day Spa for a facial, and it was also a good experience. I highly recommend Savvy Salon & Day Spa, and I won't go anywhere else in the Charlotte area for a massage. read more

I've been a Savvy male haircut customer for 9 years and would not even think of taking my business elsewhere. My stylist PJ is does a great job every time and its a pleasure to spend 30 min with her every month. You are treated like a guest from the moment you arrive; they offer to take your coat, offer you something to drink, etc. The front desk staff is very friendly and in 9 years of monthly visits I've never had to wait more than 5-min past my schedule appointment time. The owner continues to upgrade the facility and offer additional services. Everyone seems happy to be working there which makes it a very pleasant overall customer experience. I was contacted me after the problems I was having and they gave me a good deal to get it fixed. I had to go to a master stylist to change the look completely, but I think it will look better for me anyway. A bit darker than I anticipated but, I still need to book another appointment to finish the look. But I am happier that this has been fixed. Pat worked hard with me to get things on track. I was misinformed regarding the understudies, the first time I went and had an understudy she was great! (But she had years of experience) I got a different understudy who was still learning.
