Previously, they spend about 10min washing and conditioning my hair, but that portion felt rushed. The quality of the wash felt adequate, but there was minimal scalp massage. I had a terrible experience with the manager of this business. I made an appointment for Thanksgiving prep (Wednesday) in April when I noticed their location next to First Watch. Unfortunately, due to the time lapse, I totally forgot this appointment was made and I never received a text message or phone call to confirm my appointment. When I was charged $90 on Thanksgiving Day, I thought it was fraud. I followed up and spoke to the manager who told me that I had booked a blow out with an addition!? My hair is a bob, and I don't get decorations, (additions?) so I'm confused about that. She said her company sent me an email which I found in junk mail after we spoke. I told her I completely understand a no-show charge, especially before a holiday - as I work in hospitality myself. However, I told her it was obvious that I didn't remember from April (time lapse) and due to no text or call to remind me, it was unrealistic to charge me $90 when I can easily get a blow out at the Quarter for $60. I asked if she would keep the no-show charge but give me a discount card for a future date and she said absolutely not. I asked her if she has the authority to do so and she said yes - but still refused. Unfortunately, this is terrible customer service and poor management. Had this manager been willing to collaborate with me I would not only give her a glowing review but return for future business, (as I live five minutes away). All i asked for was big voluminous curls and I got some weird 80's hairstyle that I had to fix myself! don't know if you could tell but my hair was badly damaged because of the amount of hairspray used and the curls at the end look good in this photo but they fell out literally 5 minutes after They also put so much hairspray in my hair that I couldn't even move it! They were respectful but my hair looks horrible and I had a big event only an hour later and then I had to fix it! I cried for so long because all I wanted was to feel pretty and I felt horrible. My honest review is to never go here. There are so many other blowout places that I have gotten beautiful hair from!! I went here because the reviews looked good and it was pretty cheap. It was an ok experience. I booked a blowout with the extra head massage and it wasn't worth it at all IMO. The extra head massage literally lasted 5 min (eye roll) and she was very lazy with it. Left with her styling my hair exactly how I wanted so that was nice but it was very frizzy and staticy, I feel like she could've tamed it a little to make it look more professional. I originally booked wash with customized style, I arrived with day old curls and asked for a half up, half down voluminous teased style. The stylist told me a side swept style would look better with my dress and for my holiday party event, to which I was open to and agreed. All she did was re-curl my hair, hairspray and texturizing spray, and placed the clip that I brought. No teasing, no Bobby pins, no hair ties. The clip she placed fell before I even got back to my hotel. So basically, I was just left with curls. Which I already could do myself. Zero skill required or provided. Chanel, the makeup artist listened to what I wanted and guided me to help me figure out exactly what I needed for my big day. Do not recommend for bridal makeup or bridal hair if you want your hair down for your wedding. Hair ($90) did not come out how I wanted it wavy finger curls and the stylist told me it was cause I had layers after I told her I didn't like the curls. If that were the case it would of been nice to preference that before saying yes let's do it. Makeup ($95)was not set and was not full face to last the day. The minute I got in my car to leave the salon my eye makeup looked smeary, creased and black was smeared over the colored eyeshadows plus I had to fix one of the eyelashes on my right eye because it way higher than my lash line my photographer had to tell me and help me fix it. Overall just not a great experience. I would of preferred the stylist to acknowledge my type of hair and the style I showed her as a reference and tell me that she couldn't make it look wavy which I can do at home. My makeup was nice until it wasn't would have liked to have better primer or setting spray that way it lasted and I didn't have to have people fix my makeup after spending money on it. read more
