Had I known Primp and Blow used Oribe products I would have been much sooner! I went online to schedule a quick appointment- no special occasion just wanted a little pampering, and for someone to wash my hair (ahhhhh, best way to relax!). I booked a classic blowout and added on the 10 minute scalp massage ($10), and the deep conditioning treatment ($20)- both were totally worth it. The salon was quiet when I got there, a slow Sunday which was perfect. Kiarily was awesome- she as professional from start to finish and did such a great job with the entire service! Once we finished the shampoo-ing, she started styling my hair. So interesting- as she dried each sectioned-off piece she would wrap it around the roll brush and leave the brush in. By the end I had a head full of roll brushes, and as she unraveled them, I was left with perfect curls (such a great idea to leave them in). I left feeling fresh and relaxed and can't wait to go back again! I saw on the wall they have some sort of membership program- may check that out next time! She checked with me every step of the way to make sure she was doing what I envisioned. She was great to talk to throughout the process, and she had great suggestions since I'm not the best with makeup. I also have very fine hair that gets knotted easily, but Talaya was so careful and gentle brushing it out. Usually it hurts when I have others brush it, but not here. This place did not meet expectations. I had hoped to come in and get my hair and makeup done and just be done and relaxed for my engagement photos however, I was stressed the entire day partially due to having to fix my hair and makeup from the services provided here. I came in and was informed that I had not purchased the hot tools service and they couldn't do it because they didn't have time. I was hoping to not get the hair service done altogether but since I was getting my makeup done I couldn't shower and do my hair at home so I begrudgingly got my hair done there as well. They were able to fit the hot tool service in (which is a ridiculous up charge) but the service was very basic and I could've done a better job myself for free. The makeup itself looked alright but definitely not amazing for a supposed makeup styling place. I had to add and adjust different parts when I was home as they were unable to add eyeliner wings (due to lack of skill with this ability). I wish I had skipped this place altogether and just done hair and makeup at home. Not worth the price. The place itself was also very rundown looking and just generally underwhelming. I went in to get my hair done for a gala and just wanted it blown straight with light hair spray. stylist seemed rushed (I was out in 34minutes including my shampoo and style). after an hour, my hair was basically a mess. I made an appointment online for, Friday, 11/24. When I received a confirmation call I realized I made an error and booked it for a day later, Saturday. Luckily they were able to accommodate my request and move my appointment up to Friday evening. My blowout was okay, I could have used more of a scalp massage. My hair looked as expected however I had some crusty/flakey white product on the crown of my head that I had to brush off when I noticed it at home. I like Dry Bar better. read more

I visited this location yesterday for a blowout and specifically requested volume at the top of my head and was very disappointed with the result. This was my first visit to a Primp and Blow location and I definitely would not return. On top of that, there isn't even anywhere on the corporate website that you can request a refund due to the poor result...$45 wasted...something I could get from a beauty school student that would have been a better result! I had surgery that prevented me from Being able to wash my hair .. So I bought a groupon and then my mom surprised me and had bought a groupon so I could get through the week ... Had my first blow out and it was awesome ! Was telling them about the surgery and how great it was to come here ... Fast forward a week .. Went for my second one and I went to check out and the lady (looked like the owner ) told me that because I used one the week before I could not use it !! She said it says that on the groupon however it states "one purchase per person, may purchase one as a gift " .. She refused to honor it ... Very disappointing ! Not very good customer service especially when your post is not very accurate ! So after tip (I didn't feel the stylist should suffer for their mistake ) it was $50 plus I STILL have a groupon that they won't honor ! read more

Great first impression and experience on a day when I really needed to relax and cheer up. There are often times you just don't have the energy to clean, dry and style your hair in the mornings and normally I'd just go to a salon and get a shampoo and style but I feel like here it's more of a specialty, much calmer than a salon, and more personal, they really take the time to really clean your hair and make sure you feel good and love your look. I definitely want to try the hot tools and get some big wavy curls going on but today I just needed to feel normal ya know, we've all been there! So I booked the regular Blow out (actually booked online through the yelp app which was convenient) and got a same day morning appt. My hair was really tragic in the beginning, oily in some places, overly dry and frizzy in others. My stylist, Maria, took me back to the shampoo stations which were nice and dark, very relaxing and put a warm towel around my neck, I could have fallen asleep right there! I completely forgot to upgrade to the extra scalp massage because I would have gotten that in a heartbeat, next time :) Anyways, Maria took care in getting the nice flow-y look with volume I wanted, nothing pin straight or over the top, just nice, clean, normal and beautiful. I think on yelp it says the regular blowout takes 45min. I have medium-long hair and the whole appt. took 25min max so it was nice to be able to come by during work without taking a huge chunk out of my day.
