I travel back and forth from NC now with my new job. We were going to take new employee pictures so I decided to get a blow out done. I went here because it was close to the hotel I was staying at. I am so glad I went here! The owner of the salon is name Santos (I think) and he is so sweet. This is a family business that is run by a husband and wife duo. I love supporting local businesses vs chains because I know that I am directly helping someone with their dream (I assume most people start a business because they want to do something they love). The customer service here is great and Santos is very talented. He has worked in the hair business for a few years and now finally has his own salon. I got a standard blow out and he was able to make it look like a curling iron was used! I dont know how he does it but it honestly looked amazing! We have been here to a few places for blowouts for my daughter. This by far has been the best. Santos has been my daughter's stylist the two times we have been and her hair looks amazing when he is done. First I've never had a blow out take 2.5 hours when I wasn't sharing a chair. I thought she was just taking her time but it is clear from the results that this was a miss. I'm sure the stylist meant well but it was not worth the money paid. 10 minutes after walking out the salon my hair is already starting to curl back up and become fluffy. Now, some might blame the humidity but this isn't my first summer blowout. AND my hair just isn't long enough at current to make the appointment drag out. The stylist kept trying to upsell (which is fine) a deep conditioner but I've never needed a deep conditioner prior to a blow out. I usually do them as two separate services. I am so sorry that I can't remember my stylist's name but she is pictured in my photo! She was sweet and most importantly 100% competent. I was alone in the salon at 6 PM on a Tuesday night. It was really relaxing. I had previously washed my hair, she adapted by asking if she could just wet my hair to ensure a proper blow dry. After carefully wetting my hair (careful not to wet my face, ears, or neck) we moved to the blow dry chair. She spoke to me about what id like to see. I prefer a 'traditional' blow out. No curling irons, no curling wands, absolutely no straightners. Just a brush and a blow dryer! She understood completely, she added that my hair is the perfect type of hair to take to any style and wouldn't require any additional tools. I requested no teasing for volume or hair spray- a properly done blow dry should last with plenty of volume! I am happy to say she delivered. As soon as I sat down and began to do my work I felt like she was done! There was no pulling at my hair or unnecessary complaining about how her arms hurt or even worse- other clients or colleagues! The result was beautiful and lasted FOR A FULL WEEK. If I didn't have to wash my hair I could have kept it for longer. Great job! $35 + tip on credit card. read more

I passed this the other day and made a bookmark to give it a try. I love getting my hair straightened and my regular stylist is pretty busy and their place doesn't offer this service. It was $35. She washed my hair and blew it dry. I was concerned I'd have stick straight hair but she did a fantastic job. I think the style I got is called the Power Trip which amused me. It was so soft and had the perfect bounce I was looking for. I had planned to go a nail shop next but they informed me they did pedicures as well. The pedicure girl was able to do it while my hair was being done. I felt so pampered!! Add a yummy strawberry smoothie to it and I was good! I have A LOT of hair that looks awesome when it is blow dried and curled...I just don't have the patience to put all the effort into doing it myself on a regular basis. I always did my own hair (and was not usually thrilled with the results) until a couple of years ago. I had a right foot injury (which meant I couldn't drive) & could not shampoo in the shower very easily & looked into "Dry Bars" where they shampoo & blow out your hair into the style you want. I came across Blo-Out Bella (my new puppy was Baby Bella as well), Ashley did my hair & I am hooked for life. She is amazing. She can do a stick straight style when I want that, or more volume when I am in the mood for that, as I was today. Yikes. I came here to have a blowout and curl done for family photos since my normal hairstylist was booked. I had a man do my blowout and it was awful awful awful. My hairstylist ALWAYS gives me good volume with her blowout, and I can do a half decent job at home myself. But he just flattened my hair down when he blow dried it and my hair was so flat and had ZERO volume. Before he started curling I asked him to add some volume up top, and he said the curls would add volume. He used no product at all and did a terrible job with the curls. And there was still no volume at the top. The hair dresser that was working on the lady next to me had to come take over and redo all of the curls. She somewhat salvaged it, and was very nice, but I was disappointed overall. I think if she had done my hair from the beginning it would have been much better, but she was trying to fix what had already been done so it was hard to work with. I would have washed and redone it myself at home if I had time. And very pricy- even more than my normal hairstylist and she does a much better job. read more

Such a good idea and really cute shop but the blowout was just bad. Lots of pulling. Stylist didn't seem to know how to handle my wavy hair. It looked awful and I think she realized she did a bad job, but did not say anything. BUT...the owner did contact me and offer a free blowout. I have yet to go back, but I think I may try again. i absolutely DISLIKE coming here and i will NOT return. i called early this morning and was told they could take my walk in for a blowout. once i arrived, around 1:40pm, the girl (pink sweater) at the desk greeted me and said i could be seen; however, when i explained i only needed the regular blow out because i had washed and conditioned my own hair she changed her attitude and said they were booked and i could come back another time. i had to press the matter that i called and the fact that she just said 5 seconds ago i could be seen but since i'm not getting the more expensive blow out i cannot be serviced. she turned to the girl with purple hair standing next to her and began talking about me in Spanish. she doesn't know i speak and understand Spanish. i played it cool like i didn't know what they were saying just so i could keep the peace. i see plenty of caucasian or hispanic women walk in and have their hair styled, but me a black woman being given the run around every time i come here i have had enough. i will never spend another penny at this salon. the stylist was very nice but the receptionist with the pink cardigan is the reason i will not return. read more

The best part was that I was in and out of the salon in 45-50 minutes. I have been to other salons that take over an hour and a half and that drives me nuts. They did a good job on my blow dry here. It's very close to Southpoint Mall (and my house), so this guided my choice go to there versus a specific recommendation. I went to Blo Out Bella for the first time today. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the owner who was super friendly and very attentive. I can't say enough about the stylist. She is the sweetest! More importantly, she did an excellent job with my hair. I love what she did. My hair can be temperamental when it comes to holding curls or waves, but the waves she put in my hair have now lasted for seven hours. Also, I really like the decor.
