I went to E A Wells with damaged hair and a cut I wasn't happy with - a couple of years of applying a darker color to bleached hair that wouldn't accept it. Melissa patiently listened to my "history" and made recommendations based on not just what she saw, but what I said worked and didn't work in the past. I left with the darker (closer to my natural color) color I wanted and a cut that was more my style. She is efficient, but did not make me feel rushed. I will be back! She did such a phenomenal job with what she had to work with and I was anxious to see what she could create once my hair healed a bit. Update: I just saw the owner's reply so I want to address it. 1- yes I did book and did pay for FULL color. 2-- My daughter booked a part up /part down with curls service for $30. she was never told anything about braids being more or even an option. Then mid-service she was asked if she wanted a braid. Well of course! If you're going to upsell, tell the customer there is an additional charge so they can make an informed decision about their purchase. She was not told. Personally, I think $12 for that little braid is ridiculous, but at least she would have known. And the photos document the lack of curls, so I really don't know how you deny that. And I have additional pics of the piece that hung in her face. Yes, you reached out to me after the issue with my daughter. (not after the color issue. I tried to reach someone multiple times about the color and no go.) You called me twice I believe. I missed the first. The second call I either answered or called you back I don't remember but you immediately lit into me about leaving you a bad review. You literally argued with me about my experience when you weren't even involved in either service. WOW. Not the way to win back a client! I've worked with all types of businesses for YEARS helping them with their marketing and I tell them repeatedly, You will have upset clients, it Will happen. An upset customer is your opportunity to create a win/win! How you handle it will bring you a hater or a client for life! because even if you disagree the age old saying that the customer is always right is an age old saying for a reason. Meaning invalidating their experience will get you nowhere and in fact will damage your business. If you were my client I would have advised you to go the extra mile to make a happy customer who will sing your praises. One such person is worth 100 reviews! Suck it up a little. LISTEN, validate, apologize and then say, wow I understand how that made you feel and we really value our clients so I want to make this right for you. Then you offer to make it up with a free service, or whatever (not something like 10% off which is meaningless and an insult) then you make sure that service goes well (use the time to really give them special treatment) and after that you will have someone singing your praises for years and referring all of their friends. I remember that after you yelled at me and I convinced you to calm down I told you I needed to go but I'd be happy to meet with you or chat again later. I was going to give you some free marketing consulting, but you never called me back. I wish you well. read more

EA Wells had a same day appointment so I took it & prayed for the best. I was assigned to Caitlin, she was super sweet. I very broadly gave her an idea of what I wanted hoping she was "professional enough" to read my mind!! ... I don't know how she figured it out, but it was EXACTLY what I wanted! I LOVED it! Set my second appt, that same day. Six weeks later, I left the salon smiling again, so set my third & determining appt.
