I go here regularly for facials with Reet, for cut n color with Shayla (and Lola), and also saw Juanita for massages (when they were briefly offered- wish they'd come back). Over many appointments, I really enjoy the great customer service, the friendly staff, and getting a high quality experience in a luxurious environment. Front office staff Rhea- is wonderful, always accommodating and helpful in getting scheduled quickly. Reet is my favorite - a warm, friendly soul who does her very best and I come out every time relaxed with a glowing skin. I recommend this place - had only one instance of a complaint with a hair stylist who is no longer here (and the owner immediately supported my concern and was very receptive to my feedback). read more

I am not impressed! I am a first time Customer and made a hair appointment for a cut. They require that I give them my card number in advance to hold the appointment. And so I gave my number and then she wanted the code number in the back. I told her that she would get it when I come for my appointment. I also explained that I've lived all over and I have never given my personal information over the phone to hold an appointment. She said well it's protocol and that she won't be able to hold the appointment. I said I will not be coming to your establishment. I have long hair. I've had medium to long hair most of my life, and many experiences over a lifetime of styling. I have gone 3 times for wash and style. I found this place to be significantly overpriced. I scheduled a haircut for my daughter based on the length guidelines provided on the website. According to the site, a medium haircut is for hair that is shoulder-length to mid-back, while a long haircut is for hair that goes below the waist. My daughter's hair did not fall below her waist, so I booked the medium haircut, which was supposed to cost $75, instead of the $105 I was charged. When we arrived, I was informed by the hair stylist that my daughter's hair would be charged as a long haircut because it would take a longer time. This was frustrating, as I had specifically booked according to the website's definitions. While the stylist was nice, she seemed to struggle with the blowout, which took much longer than expected. This likely contributed to the longer time they claimed was needed for the cut. Overall, I've taken my daughter to other salons that charged half the price and delivered better results. I went there for an overpriced eyebrow threading, and the reason I agreed to pay double what I would normally pay and go through the complicated lengthy appointment making process is that it said that there will be a head and shoulders massage with it. The booking process is too complicated for just an eyebrows threading, compared to a just walk in. I payed $20 while I normally pay $10. When the lady was done with my eyebrows they didn't look alike, or like what they normally look like, and they were too thin to ask her to make any adjustments, so I was like it's fine. Then she asked if I would like the message! And I'm like yea, that's what I'm paying for! So the massage was less than 3 minutes, and was okay at most! So take home message, not worth the money or the complicated reservation process. And I won't be coming back to this place. read more

Not sure what the negative reviews are all about. I have been going here for nearly a year now. I spent the last 3 years searching for a person in the Triangle who could actually cut short hair. Apparently they don't teach that in beauty school anymore because the ones I have gotten have been atrocious. As I had my last stylist for over 10 years in Philadelphia, I found this situation to be very aggravating. So I stumbled upon a positive google review of this place and as it was in the same center as my Publix, I walked over to talk with them. They suggested the brilliant Jun, who is a genius with short hair. My hair looks great and I am finally happy, but scared to death that he might move or leave the area. For now, I am just thrilled to have found someone who actually knows what they are doing -- and cares. read more

I used to love going here when they first opened, but everytime I go in to try and get my hair done they try to upcharge me by a crazy amount. I went here to get a quote for my highlights to get redone and they wanted to charge me for a color correction ($600) even though I had already received one elsewhere. They flat out will upcharge you by a crazy amount just because they don't want to do your hair. I went to another place and to do my highlights they charged me $200 and said in no way I needed a color correction and I still received great results for a lower price. This place was good back in 2021 when they actually cared about providing their clients with high quality services for a good price, but as the years go on they keep rising the prices for very simple services. Why is a haircut with a blow dry more than $100 to cut an inch off?! Why are we charging $30 to just blow dry my hair? I know that inflation is a big factor but this is getting out Hand. read more

My experience at Tina Vora Salon with Zaahirah was absolutely amazing! I have super curly hair & went in for a root touch up with full highlights/balayage. Zaahirah was so helpful & really made sure to take the health of my hair seriously, explaining the results I could expect after having colored my hair with jet black box dye for years. I was so happy with the color results & the way she took the time to style my hair. I look forward to returning in 6-8 weeks for a root touch up & highlights so Zaahirah can safely allow me to go a bit lighter, while still maintaining the health of my hair. Thank you Zaahirah! Got a mens haircut for $40 bucks. The result resembled what I would expect at a Great Clips or Fantastic Sam's...except it was $40 bucks. Then they haggled me to book my next appointment (a couple months away), and now I see why...they have a late cancellation fee (a chance to take more of someone's money). I didn't cancel and got my next haircut and it was miraculously worse than the first cut. This is a $17 dollar haircut - except I paid $40, plus tip. No bueno. This place feels like a total cash grab. I know the local economy is really good and it is a high income area, but you have to actually provide a good service to justify the price. Was able to get a last minute appointment which is the only reason Tina Vora Salon got 2 stars. The stylist walked in at the same time I did and spent almost an entire day on my hair to do something opposite of what I asked for. I couldn't stop her because she'd already done the back of my head. Then she had to leave very quickly after the appointment. Tina herself charged me $600 for the vibrant colors and they have continued to wash out over the next 2 weeks and have faded that fast. I tried to contact the salon and stylist to obtain recommendations on how to maintain it but no one got back to me. I used Olaplex bonding treatments numbers 3, 4, and 5 per other stylist recommendations (not at Tina Vora) and it's still washing out. Must not be permanent dye. When I asked Tina for a partial refund, she first had the stylist text me who was full of excuses, then emailed eventually herself and said the salon does not issue refunds. Worst hair experience I think I've ever had. read more
