Sorry to say my leaving experience was not anything like my arrival. Significant staff change over in the leasing office. Record keeping appears to be abysmal. I have submitted detailed insurance documentation proving that I have the coverage required and was still charged for not having insurance. Previous staff had received and accepted proof of insurance but had not issued the credits

    What are the utilities included?

There are no utilities included but parking is!

How is the parking at this apartment complex, is there guest parking?

There is guest parking. It is with permit validation from the front office! :)

Is it a month to month rental? If not, is it possible to rent for 3 months?

It's not MTM, but they do offer short term options, from 2-23 months!

Do you know what middle school kids go to that live at Block C?

I believe it's San Marcos Middle School

What's the restrictions on Emotional Support Dogs? It's a restricted bread on the list but has proper documents.

Pets themselves are allowed at Block C. I saw dogs of all sizes when living there. Based on my understanding of the law an ESA should provide a waiver of the additional fees…

Is smoking allowed in your apartment or outside on your own patio?

This is actually entirely a smoke-free building outside on your patio as well as indoors that's for vaporizer cigarettes anything like that they do have several smoking stations out around the complex on the outdoors but that's it hope that helps!

The other residents are respectful and friendly from my encounters. There's a lot of kids that live here that like to run around on scooters and e-bikes on the weekends-they can be a little noisy but it doesn't bother me. The property manager, Gigi, has been so helpful and kind with any questions I've asked. Lots of open parking and no sketchy weirdos loitering around. I have never seen the dumpsters overflowing- the trash is collected multiple times a week. I do find a spider in the unit every so often but it's definitely not a pest problem. Never had a package stolen so far! I'm really enjoying this place!

During the 10 months I lived here, I had my gas siphoned, a SWAT team break down a neighbor's door during a hostage situation, and another neighboring unit where a drug-addicted couple had frequent violent altercations. The situation became so bad that I had to call the police over a dozen times during my short time living there. The most frustrating part is that management has received complaints about these issues for years. They will tell you they care and that they are addressing the situation, but nothing actually changes. The responses often feel dismissive and unhelpful. What ultimately pushed me to write this review, however, was how my move-out was handled. Although I moved out before my lease ended, I made every effort to leave the apartment in excellent condition. I had the unit professionally cleaned, including the carpets, and had all holes patched and painted. After the pre-move-out inspection, I even provided management with the invoices for these services. Despite this, I was still charged nearly $500 in additional cleaning and painting fees. I was also charged an incorrect $450 rent balance, even though management had previously confirmed that I had paid the remaining rent and utilities owed. Even after explaining this and providing documentation, they still refused to return my full security deposit. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. For the price you pay to live here, there are far better and better-managed options in the area. I strongly encourage prospective renters to carefully consider other properties before signing a lease here.

Between May and July alone, residents have dealt with constant disruptions, poor communication, and maintenance issues that have not been handled with the urgency they deserve. In just a few months, we've received repeated 24-hour notices for property access, including inspections of fire alarms, sprinklers, balconies, pressure washing, parking lot repairs, and other maintenance. While routine maintenance is understandable, the frequency has made it feel like there is always another disruption. The biggest issue has been parking. Residents were given very little notice that we could not park in our assigned spaces, garages, or even anywhere on the property overnight while parking lot repairs were completed. We were told vehicles parked on-site could be towed at our own expense, yet management offered no alternative parking, transportation assistance, or practical solution. We were essentially told to figure it out ourselves. More concerning is the way maintenance requests are handled. Earlier this year, a kitchen electrical outlet sparked for the second time since I've lived here and nearly caused a fire. I submitted a work order immediately, followed up multiple times, and even submitted it as an emergency. It still took nearly three weeks for anyone to address what I considered a serious safety hazard. Most recently, my washing machine stopped working on Sunday, leaving us unable to do laundry. Maintenance didn't arrive until Tuesday and spent about two hours repairing it, saying it was fixed. When we started our first load, the machine overflowed from both the top and bottom, flooding the laundry area, hallway, and living room. We had to use every towel we owned to contain the water, and our clothes were left soaking in the bathtub. We submitted an emergency maintenance request around 7:00 p.m. because of the active water leak and potential property damage. No one came that evening. When we called, we were told they didn't know if anyone would respond. The following morning, we still had standing water, no clean towels, no working washer, and were simply told someone would come "as soon as they could" after finishing other jobs. An active flood should be treated as an emergency. The apartments themselves are nice, but management's communication, planning, and response to maintenance issues have made living here increasingly frustrating. Residents deserve better communication, faster responses to legitimate emergencies, and more consideration when major projects create significant inconveniences. I hope management takes resident concerns more seriously and makes meaningful improvements because the location and community have a lot of potential.

I would strongly recommend looking into other newly built complexes instead of this one. While living here, my partner experienced multiple break-ins to his car. When we reported this to management, nothing was done--no follow-up emails, no communication, and no visible safety measures put in place to protect residents. We used the gym regularly, and the facility itself was nice. However, there were multiple occasions where we saw unhoused individuals using the showers. This raises serious concerns about building security--how are non-residents accessing a gated community? Maintenance was also handled poorly. Sections of the complex were frequently closed with only two days' notice, whether for parking lot repaving or hallway painting. This lack of advance notice made it difficult to plan, especially for residents with pets or work schedules. On top of this, my partner's car was towed, costing us $500, despite the parking permit being clearly visible on the floor of the vehicle. When we raised this with management, again, nothing was done. We were even told at the tow yard that this has happened to other residents before. If this is a recurring issue, it's unclear why management hasn't taken steps to prevent it. Overall, the price did not match the experience, and the lack of responsiveness and security made living here incredibly frustrating.

My lease is almost up and they want to raise my rent $300, making it over $1700 for a one bedroom! I like the complex. I have pleasant neighbors and my section of the complex is usually pretty quiet. The grounds are well maintained The apartment is lovely and I feel spoiled with my washer and dryer, but with the new updates we lost our amazing AC unit for an "energy saving" unit. Its not actually an AC at all, its a heat pump and it does absolutely nothing to cool this hot apartment. When I asked if I could have an older AC unit put back in I was told that it wasn't possible. This summer was pretty much unbearable with my indoor temperature being in the high 80s all night. (They should probably take "Air conditioner" off the amenities list....) Finally, I am writing this review in hopes that the new leasing office gets this message: How hard is it to give more than 24 hrs notice before entering our apartments? For a scheduled inspection we should be given at least a couple days notice just out of courtesy. This is a pet friendly apartment and I have a dog. I would really like to be here when random termite inspectors come and freak my dog out. We've been getting 24 hours notices 2-3 times a month which is not enough time to make arrangements to be present when strangers are trooping through my apartment. The old leasing staff would tell us the reason for entry and they would post notices at least a few days before which was MUCH appreciated. Hopefully the new staff can smooth out these issues but for me the price isn't worth it anymore.
