Developed a mold issue in the closet that cost us hundreds in damaged clothes and shoes only to be told that's what happens when you live by the ocean. LOL the ocean is a mile away. Refused to respond to emails requesting information on rental increase that was close to the maximum allowable. Then after stopping in to discuss the issue received attitude and they billed us for 2 days of the 30 day notice because February only has 28 days. We wouldn't recommend here unless you have no choice.

There's a lot of kids that live here that like to run around on scooters and e-bikes on the weekends-they can be a little noisy but it doesn't bother me. The property manager, Gigi, has been so helpful and kind with any questions I've asked. Lots of open parking and no sketchy weirdos loitering around. I have never seen the dumpsters overflowing- the trash is collected multiple times a week. I do find a spider in the unit every so often but it's definitely not a pest problem. The seller of the house we wanted was back and forth on us for months so I didn't even know if we would get the house. This is when I looked for month-to-month renting options nearby. I wanted a place near where we're planning to move so that I won't have to move my kids from their schools again. It was already stressful enough they had to transfer into a new school a month after it started, so I found this place. Jennifer, the Community Manager here, got back to me immediately, sent me an email and gave me the options they had available. She was responsive, sweet, and accurate with all the details I needed. I reached out to a few other places where the community managers either took weeks to get back to me or didn't seem too thrilled when I asked for a tour of the apartment. Jennifer offered the tour for me and got right to it when I arrived to look at the place. We moved from a 6-bedroom house into a 2-bedroom condo here, but we only needed it for 17 days, so I couldn't complain. I didn't even bother unpacking a lot of my stuff. The place is clean, updated, washer and dryer in the unit, plenty of storage space in the corner unit, and the place was very well maintained. Everyone we met here were really nice, offered help and one lady even came by and gave us a bottle of water while we were moving to welcome us to the neighborhood. I wished we got to stay longer and really enjoy this place, but now I'm just a few blocks away anyway. We ended up getting the house that the lady was back and forth on for 3 months, we got to take our time to move out since we had the place for a month, and even then, Jennifer remained kind and helpful through it all. You don't have to rent this place month to month like I did, but if you ever need an apartment in La Costa, I would definitely recommend this place. They always let you know at least a week in advance if they need to enter your apartment which is nice. The leasing office used to host monthly food trucks which I really liked! They stopped because I don't think enough people went but that was nice while it lasted. In our experience the leasing office does take a bit to respond to emails but we have never had any nightmare stories. I would absolutely recommend this apartment and I am very happy we were able to live here.

It is close to the rail tracks, but that how it goes anywhere in the village if you want to be 1-2 block from the most gorgeous beach. Location is absolutely unbeatable. Prices are competitive. We would strongly recommend the complex.
