With every move comes a need to buy new things and this store used to be my to-go -to place for rugs, for one big reason. Prices. I usually need something that will last a year or so in a new apartment, look nice but nothing fancy that will lay around and gather dust for years to come. Angel's rugs was perfect for that. This shop sells very similar inventory that other places around downtown and the fashion district area do but I always loved the fact that I could come in, do some bargaining and leave this place with a couple of excellent rugs for very good prices. Easy. Since the store changed location it is no longer the case unfortunately. They now have very similar prices to local HomeGoods, World Market and now there's absolutely no reason for me to drive to that $#!& hole DTLA, where my wife was literally afraid to step out of the car. It's obvious that these guys are trying hard to grow their business further from that small room at the previous location. Staying in downtown and moving to even a worst neighborhood was an idea that's far from the best, in my opinion though. I stopped by this year, tried buying a few rugs but after the owners refused to lower the price from 3-$400+ dollars, I had no choice but to go to, what used to be their old location and buy two rugs from their neighbours at Trims and rugs. Sorry guys. I know that in business it's very difficult to recover from a lower price tier once everyone knows you as a bargain place to purchase things. I truly desire you to achieve the level of success that your whole family is aiming for but raising prices and staying in the same neighborhood where people go for one and the only reason, to look for bargains is going to be difficult, to say the least. Good luck. I plan to keep stopping by once in awhile to see how the store is growing and maybe, hopefully score a deal sometime.

Plus the pricing is great! I bought a hand loomed rug that would have been 3 times as much anywhere else. On top of all that, the customer service is as good as anywhere I've ever been and I'm not exaggerating. They brought the rugs I was interested in to my home first so I felt comfortable making and purchasing my selection. They were patient and helpful throughout the process!!! This is a wonderful store.

They showed us dozens of rugs from their huge selection to choose from, but also discussed how each rug might complement the space or how we might want to decorate if we choose it. They also discussed the various differences in both design and build of various hand-made rugs depending on if they are Afgan, Persian, Turkish, or Indian. We ended up buying rugs for two rooms that we love! Not only did they help us find and pick these rugs, but they also gave us the interesting backstory and history of each rug. I wish they weren't moving out of the area since we have much more decorating to do, but hope that more people visit them before they close!

We were in the market for a new couch for our home after returning one from another store that just didn't work out. Jazmine was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. She walked us through all the different styles and fabrics, explained what would be best for easy cleaning, pet-friendly living, and even gave tips on colors that help hide fur (huge plus for dog owners like us!). We visited twice before making a decision, and Jazmine never rushed us--she made the whole process stress-free and enjoyable. We ended up choosing the Bryant Petite Modular Sectional in Royale Sage, and it's absolutely perfect for our space and lifestyle. If you're looking for great furniture and even better customer service, definitely check out Joybird Downtown LA and ask for Jazmine. She made the experience amazing!

The store is quite expansive with many different models on display. I shared my preferences with one of the associates, Kayla, (sizing/firmness/seat depth) and she was very kind to show me models that fit the criteria. At the end of my visit, Kayla provided some fabric swatches and emailed links to the couches I had expressed interest in. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and would recommend checking out Joybird if your budget allows!

Merchandise on the left and right side of the warehouse on racks are all priced as marked & are regular merchandise. Still super cheap prices. The wooden bins in the center of the warehouse have different pricing depending on what day of the week you visit. The day's special prices are marked on the white dry erase board that is visible upon entry. The pricing structure is as follow: Friday = a warehouse full of new inventory released to the public. Highest price with most selection. Ex. $12 pants. Saturday = whatever that is left is now marked down by a %, say 50%. Ex. $6 Sunday = whatever that remains is now marked down again, say now $5 Monday = whatever that remains is marked down once more to say $4 Tuesday = whatever that remains is now marked down to $3 Wednesday = whatever that remains now is $2 Thursday = whatever that remains is now $1. On this day, something that costs you $12 if you bought it last Friday will now only cost you $1 to buy the same item ---IF it remains available for purchase. Clothes on this day often becomes "fill a whole bag for $20". Seriously a steal, if you find anything good to steal. So by Thursday, most of the stuff is sold out, only a few bins to browse through, while 3/4th of the warehouse is yellow-taped out for no-entry or no-browsing and will be made available the next day. But you seriously get the best pricing on Thursdays. I got a stack of quality 100% Egyptian cotton hand towels for $0.50 each. Even Regular priced items (on racks) were priced really good too. $6.99 Star Wars beach towels or $9.99 oversized beach towels, and $14.99 6 pc bamboo linen set just blew my mind. Definitely would return. Tips: There is an addition transaction fee charged for credit cards. No additional fees for cash/debit card. Plastic bag optional ($0.50). Fairly large parking lot in the back of the building. Shopping cart provided. Friendly owner. Merchandise sells out fast, new stuff all the time.
