They could offer to see if the lenses can fit in new frames, or some other stop gap help, but they made it blinding clear to me they simply are not interested in helping. They do offer the wretched sop of saying they are sorry. Quite meaningless.

Improvement to my vision exceeded my expectations The cataract surgery I needed was performed with minimal anesthesia, even so I had no pain during the surgery. There was an hour or two period of some discomfort for a couple hours after the surgery, but not severe, or unexpected after having my eye operated on. Nothing a couple Advil wouldn't help with, and all fine by 8 hours after the surgery.

They did cataract surgery for my mom. There were several problems…read more 1. Bad anesthesia. For the first eye, they sedated her, but she woke up during surgery. Second time, they did not sedate her, and she felt pain during the surgery. They made the anesthetic drops in the eye more the half of hour before surgery. 2. They damaged her vein with IV. 3. The nurses are rude. Every nurse is trained to answer only few questions. If you ask wrong nurse a wrong question, she will get mad at you. The patients are treated as details on a conveyor line.

The staff and Dr. Piazza were not only welcoming but truly friendly and interested in me as a individual....not a number. Due to the LASIK surgery I had many years ago, my cataract surgery wasn't a simple procedure and there were no guarantees that my vision could be returned to its glasses-free state. But, with dedication, patience, skill and optimism our joint goal was achieved and my vision is a good as it was before my cataract replacement surgery.

Apparently one of the screws holding my lenses in their frame decided to take a permanent side trip and this morning one lense popped out. I could find no relief in Bar Harbor and called Dr. Albert's office. They said come by and they would see what they could do. Although they appeared to be busy when I showed up they immediately knew who I was and said "Sit down and relax and we will take a look". I had only a few minutes to "relax" before they fixed my glasses but during that time I looked around. My impression was that this office was very well organised/run and the ladies that helped me were courteous and obviously competent. Also, there was a large display area for frames, etc. so that patients would have a big selection to choose from. To top if off they would not accept any payment. All of this tells me that this is five star Optometry practice. Glenn
