My hair was colored significantly darker than what we discussed, and instead of the face framing I specifically requested, I was given a very blunt cut. When I reached out afterward to express my concerns, my messages were ignored. Eventually, I was asked to come back in to discuss the situation, but instead of taking responsibility or trying to find a reasonable solution, I was told there would be no refund, no recut, and no attempt to lighten or correct the color. What was most upsetting was the way I was spoken to during the conversation. I was told, "Who do you think you are?" and "What world do you live in?" I was also told that I did not deserve a correction. Mistakes can happen in the beauty industry, but what matters is how a professional handles them. I would have appreciated an honest conversation, an attempt to correct the work, or even simply being treated respectfully. Instead, I was left with hair that was very different from what I requested and felt completely dismissed when I tried to address it. Based on both the result and the way my concerns were handled, I would not return and cannot recommend this hairdresser.

I left wet because she didn't even have moose or product in my hair only put oil. The diffuser fell on my head the owner dominque Watkins mouth dropped I then got upset and left. Again pulled over to wash out my hair and run home to wash it out three times. My hair line is messed up as well and unfortunately need Vaseline to take product off. I will never go back hete again I can't even fix it and dye my hair again for a while without causing damage and it's going to fall out. Train better hairstylist and dont over charge stating you can do curly hair when it's a lie. I'm the inconvenience because you are overbooked ? Don't be greedy owners and learn to train your staff

I've been going to Jaimee here for a few months now and she is fantastic! Business-wise: She's really on top of it when it comes to confirming appointments, rescheduling (and actually being able to reschedule within the next week or so if I need to cancel), and she's a super hard worker so has been great about accommodating my scheduling needs. Hair-wise: I go to her for bleach and tones and she does such such such a fantastic job!!!! I've been bleach blonde for a few years now and could never quite achieve that kardashian level blonde that is somehow perfectly white with just that tiny ashy cool tint. One color correction with Jamie and she nailed it. She's really knowledgeable about the products they use and will explain to me the differences in products and processes I have questions about. Plus she's just such a sweetheart and fun to talk to-- lord knows how awkward it can be sitting in someone's chair for 4 hours having nothing to talk about. But then when I'm in the mood to zone out on my phone she's chill with that too. The salon overall is so cute! The decor is so boho fresh fun, the staff is all really fun, fashionable, and have great hair. They do education days a lot and are always working to improve their craft. When I tell you Brooke saved my hair ... i mean she SAVED my hair. This was the most pleasant hair experience I've ever had. I went in with bright red box hair dye and came out feeling the most beautiful I have in years!! She first asked me what I want to do to my hair and then used her professional advice to make sure that we were on the same page and really looks out for the health of your hair. I've gotten my hair done with Bethany twice now and each time she has done an incredible job! I've always left extremely satisfied with my hair and she colors my hair perfectly so even when it is grown out, it still looks amazing! Ceann is the only colorist in the Phoenix area that's been able to get my blonde hair right. She's absolutely an expert at what she does. She's also very quick. On my way there she texted directions and stood outside to find me, which was a much appreciated gesture since Old Town can be so confusing! The salon itself is so cute!! I met with Tilly inside the salon who I would now trust with my life with my hair! Initially I wanted to get some light pieces through my hair, but I've truly put my fine thin hair through the gamut in the past year (bleaching/lightening my hair previously, then dumping dark box dye). She did a strand test and demonstrated how my would basically snap. She didn't feel comfortable proceeding in lightening my hair, which I feel speaks to her standing by her craft, and not necessarily trying to make a quick buck. I can't say I was surprised when I heard the news, and though it wasn't initially what I had anticipated, we worked through some options and she suggested low lights and a hair masque since it was dimension that I was looking for. The head massage was heavenly!! When Tilly turned the chair around to unveil my hair, I was so pleasantly surprised! I didn't think a few lowlights would make a big difference, but it gave my hair life again. Whatever magic she worked on my hair also made it feel so much healthier at home! It's been 2 weeks since my appointment and I've notice my comb going through my hair way more easily, with less breakage stuck in my comb. The pricing was also extremely fair. I'll be back for my future hair needs!

It looks like I swam in a deeply chlorinated pool…read more I wanted to keep the same overall look I had before -- a warm blend of dark brown and blonde highlights -- but with just a bit more brown added. Most importantly, I asked for the two face-framing pieces in the front to be left solid brown instead of highlighted blonde. That's it. Unfortunately, Tanya was dismissive of my request and pushed back instead of listening. Throughout the appointment, she seemed distracted -- frequently singing along to music and losing track of where she was in the process, which led to uneven highlights. While I don't mind a stylist enjoying their work, I do expect focus and professionalism when I'm paying for a service. The end result was not what I asked for. My hair turned out overly ashy -- both the brown and the blonde -- which was completely different from the warmer tones I had before. The partial highlight didn't blend with the rest of my hair, leaving a harsh contrast between the new and old color. When I brought this up, Tanya insisted she used the same toner as last time, but later admitted she left it on too long. To "fix" the issue, the salon offered two options: wash it a few times and see if it improves, or come back for a full highlight or toner adjustment. Neither of these options addressed the fact that my original request wasn't followed, and both would require more of my time and potentially more money. As a full-time working single mom, I don't have the flexibility to return for corrections that stem from someone else's mistake. For over $300, I expected my hair to be done professionally and correctly the first time. If a mistake is made, the salon should take ownership and say, "You're right -- let's fix it." Instead, I was met with deflection and vague justifications. When I asked for a discount, they reluctantly offered a small one after calling a manager, which felt like pulling teeth. I also asked Tanya directly if I had ever requested an ashy tone -- she wouldn't give me a straight answer and kept deflecting. It felt like she was more focused on defending her choices than taking accountability. In my opinion, Tanya lacks the attention to detail and communication skills necessary for customized color work. If you're looking for a stylist who truly listens and delivers consistent, professional results, I would not recommend her. With the manager currently on maternity leave, there was no one available to ensure quality control -- and unfortunately, my hair paid the price.
