We definitely weren't pushed or rushed in that direction, but were given a good heads up as the time approached. Her staff are very rude and were talking about me and saying my name very loud. They don't have a front desk anymore. I also know she isn't supposed to be withholding my records as I'm still a patient at evergreen even though I only saw Dr.Youngblood my records don't move with him to his new location. She had developed severe anxiety from previous experiences at other offices and Dr. Pike patiently spent multiple sessions slowly reintroducing her to the office at first, then the chair, then the tools - eventually desensitizing her to dental procedures like cleaning. I would say he is a combination of a therapist/dentist/wizard! At every session, he and his team always took the time to make sure she was not feeling overwhelmed or scared. He worked with her to desensitize and reintegrate without the use of medications, so the process took longer for us and there were more frequent sessions, but our daughter has decided she is ready to move on. This saddens me, but also makes me happy to know that she has gotten over her fear of anything dental related because of someone like Dr. Pike. There truly is no one else like him. I came to The Kid's Dentist because of a bad experience with my child's previous dentist. Dr. Yip determined that my child needed a tooth extracted along with some fillings and crowns. It was very overwhelming, the amount of work that needed to be done on such a young child, but Dr. Yip took the time to explain the reasoning behind the treatments and our options on how to proceed. One of the options was the use of general anesthesia and complete the treatment in one sitting while my child was sedated. At first, the use of general anesthesia on such a young child made me nervous. But, Dr. Yip took the time to explain that the risks were minimal and that the ability to get the treatment done in one sitting instead of a possible four would save my child from the "traumatic" experience of multiple trips, shots, and drilling. The entire process only took a few hours and my child recovered quickly. Dr. Yip even followed up with us, after hours, just to check on my child's recovery. The best part... my child still likes going to the dentist and isn't afraid to go see Dr. Yip. The use of general anesthesia was well worth it and I would recommend any parent to strongly consider it as an option for their child's treatment. I highly recommend The Kid's Dentist. Dr. Yip and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything was taken care of, from start to finish. They truly care about their patients.

I was appalled by her tone, her threat as though they're entitled to have clients choose them even if they have to pay out of pocket. I was so glad it wasn't me in that conversation, I might not have taken it as well as she did. Poor lady! It really shook me up, I don't think we'll continue to go there, super strange vibe.
