A cross bite can sometimes be simply fixed with a popsicle stick but because we are not religiously diligent with it, it did not work for us. Also, would like to note that as soon as the tooth makes the jump over the bottom front teeth, it settles into the correct spot. So it does not need a lot of help. The first thing every other ortho's tells us is braces. Which is very extreme for this situation. (no jaw issues. kid has a natural normal overbite). Dr. Senestraro, puts a composite on his bottom teeth that goes up a bit, creating a ramp, for the top tooth to slide into place. And the best part was, he did this for FREE!! My son doesn't have to suffer braces at 8 yo and I don't have to hand over my paychecks. This guy is a Life Saver!! He def has my future business.

We definitely weren't pushed or rushed in that direction, but were given a good heads up as the time approached. I called the Beaverton location and was told I could get moved which to my understanding meant I could just stay at the Hillsboro location. I guess what the girl really meant was that she can move my time. However, the ladies at the Hillsboro office were very empathetic and super nice and made me feel a tad better. The office itself is super clean and amazing for kids and I honestly wished that this location was my primary one after my initial face to face interaction with the staff and seeing their set up. Personally, I would recommend the Hillsboro location over the Beaverton location any day. I plan on switching myself because my experience with the Beaverton office was just not that great. The staff there is not friendly or welcoming at all IMO and the entire office vibe is weird.

Before even being seen, I paid up front and explained my financial situation. During the appointment, a staff member came into the room and told me I'd have to pay more or they wouldn't be able to proceed with treatment. I was already overwhelmed and in tears, and I reminded them I had already paid. She apologized and left the room. Later, I received a $300 bill for an incomplete root canal. Because of the way they coded and billed it, my insurance didn't cover anything -- it didn't even apply toward my deductible. Then I was told I'd have to wait to finish the procedure until my deductible reset the following year and I could afford the rest. Eventually, the bill doubled and was sent to collections. On top of that, they never explained that the crown (which is essential to complete a root canal) would be a separate and significant additional cost. I'm now left with an incomplete root canal and a $700 bill, and no clear communication throughout the process. UPDATE: I've uploaded a photo to clarify that the work was never completed, despite their claims. Transparency and clear communication are essential in healthcare -- unfortunately, I didn't experience that here. They also have a tendency to lie on public forums, obviously. Last year his office merged with Dr Sessions bc Sessions is retiring so Dischinger office is twice as busy accommodating all of Sessions patients too-- it is impossible to get appt times before or after school, he has a 3rd orthodontist who sees many of his patients instead of him for check ups (which wasn't approved or discussed with me before this started happening), and he only uses "Spark" aligners bc he is paid by that company to push that product. There are also like 10 patient chairs in the 1 treatment area they have, practically on top of each other with no division between the chairs...so you have no privacy when you are getting treatment, and you hear everyone else's personal health information and treatments, which made me very uncomfortable. The docs hop from chair to chair and spend as little time as possible with patients, it's run like an assembly line. It's a shame bc I like the support staff that work there, but the office has gone really down hill in the last year since the merger.
