Thank you Erica and staff!!!! I was out for the weekend (from So. Cal.) to be in my best friend's wedding. She and her mom had hair appointments and I was there to take pictures and be her support. Firstly, what an adorable little salon! On the fly, I wondered if any of the stylists had time to curl my hair and make it wedding-ready so that I wouldn't have to. No problem! Erica squeezed me in and gave me an adorable updo!! (see picture) She was so friendly and easy to talk to, all smiles, all excitement. She even gave my friend's mom a cute little mock bun which made her extremely happy! And our bride, well, she was knock-down-drag-out beautiful!! I'm not sure who did her hair (adorable male stylist, with a kick ass smile) but he did a wonderful job and made her feel like a princess. Both the bride and I had clip on extensions put in our hair (we brought our own). Mine were just to thicken up my long thin hair and hers were to lengthen and thicken. Flawless! If I lived in the area, I would definitely frequent this salon to have my hair well taken care of. All the staff wore smiles and a positive attitude the entire time we were there. I am brand new to Tucson and was recommended to come here for a root retouch (I'm platinum blonde). I was told everyone did blondes and had an appointment with Stephanie. She did an amazing job of getting my roots and gold band all back to one color that is platinum. Their bleach isn't itchy and toner is super pretty. I got a conditioning treatment as well! The cut was barely there. Overpriced for a few snips and not what we talked about. The color was minimal as well. Didn't cover the full head and still charged for an extra bowl. When I initially went I had a stylist that did a very bad job with the color. I called the salon and let them know and the owner asked me to come in and let her correct it which I did. She definitely has skills and was able to take it to something I could live with which I was grateful for. I went back about 5 times to try to get the color I wanted and the first few times she didn't get it right so I actually bought the color. Still not right and she represented herself as a color correction specialist. I didn't need a color correction, just the right color. It seemed to be taking a very long time and I've been living with the wrong color for a long time giving her chances.She was good with a Brazilian so I thought I would keep trying. I had an appointment today and the color was finally very close but as checked out and tried to make the next appointment I was told that I could not without leaving a credit card on file. That I could not schedule and call later with a card. I was not ever informed previously that was their policy. At my second appointment I was told that I would be responsible for paying if I missed an appointment but never was asked for a card. When I said that I was not told to leave a card she said her old employee was not doing her job and she hired someone new who is making sure everything is correct. How am I supposed to know that?! Before the owner walked over to see what was wrong the new employee was very rude. Then they were both rude and arguing about it and were suggesting that it was somehow my fault--that I should have known. When I said I was sorry but I felt they were rude the owner basically told me that I was the rude one. Poor professionalism. IMO they should have let me book and call in a card. I'm never going back. $120 to detangle hair extensions and not even install them is a scam... overpriced!!! Owner said they never worked with hair extensions "like that" before (they've only been used once), does she expect the customer to buy fresh new hair every time? Extensions are expensive. I will NEVER go back here again. For reference, the other salon I go to back home can detangle and install in about 1 hour and charges $150. I was grossly overcharged here. I went to Bloom a few weeks ago for the first time. Based on the prior reviews, I was excited to try them out. I'm so glad I did. What a cute place and I got to meet MARIE!!!! She was so sweet and really listened to what I wanted. I came in after getting a bad haircut at another place and felt a little less than human. Marie was able to work her magic and get my hair back on track. She gave me an awesome haircut and a much needed conditioning treatment and I couldn't be happier. The salon is so clean and cute and smells great. They put these lavender hot towels around your neck when they wash your hair and served me orange and citrus infused water, they also had coffee, hot chocolate & champagne. my fashion hair colors was never done correctly, I had to come in the next day after my first visit to correct my color. my roots were completely different color than the rest of my hair. Then the last time I went in my hair was done horribly and the owner (Erica) overcharged me to lighten my roots more and didn't tell me anything about the price increase until I was paying. she couldn't handle doing my hair herself so she would have another stylist helping her. . I had a friend recently go there and they charged her $250 for a perm and then charged $45 for a wash. ERICA CHARGED me $342.00 to retouch my hair, she had never charged me that much but my last visit.. she charged my $342.00 instead of the normal $250.00. Dumbest thing I have ever heard when I've had my fashion colors since 2012... bleach Does NOT cost that much. She is a thief and overcharges. Bloom Salon and especially Stephanie, my stylist, have been amazing. I moved here in Nov. of last year and needed help with my fragile, thin, breaking hair. After two major surgeries, a move, and hard water exposure, I thought for sure that my thinning hair would never recover. The staff at Bloom Salon recommended the Surface Awaken treatment plan for my hair, and Stephanie has worked with me every 6 weeks to style and monitor the health of my hair. It's working! I have very long hair, a combo of waves and curls, and I have found it extremely difficult to find someone that I can stick with for an ongoing basis. I like the bottom half to be slightly layer with a V shape. I had waited since February and have been very nervous about finding someone new so I did quite a bit of online review research and found Erica had many top reviews for long hair. I went to her salon yesterday and felt warmly welcomed. She did a beautiful job on my hair. She was very attentive to my needs and cut my hair to perfection with the perfect V shape at the bottom.
