The owner is rude, defensive and condescending. He is the absolute worst person and how he stays in business with that attitude is beyond me. Two years in a row now having to deal with this store and owner to get a soccer jersey and every year he doesn't have the jerseys in stock or numbers on the back. Instead of apologizing and offering a solution, the owner blames the customer for not coming in sooner. How about stocking the jerseys? What a concept! As a generally harsh critic of in person sports shops, I cannot find any flaws with this establishment from trying out shoes to testing general equipments. The Bloomfield Sports Shop is truly a quality business. When I go in, they are always kind and thoughtful, and so very knowledgeable. There are times that the employees may not know the answer to a question, but they always work to find a solution. They hire from the local community, and I am able to feel proud knowing that I am supporting a local small business. DO NOT SHOP HERE! ZERO STARS should be given to this store for their poor customer service. First, the manager is unbelievably rude. I have never had a "manager" be so disrespectful and rude to me. I order a jacket with my son's school on it online for instore pick up. I received an email on 3/16/23 stating the item had arrive and could be picked up. I went in on 4/8/23 to get my item and was told they have it to another mom who's kid attend my son's school because they "thought" it would be easier for me to get it that way. They didn't bother to email me or call me although my contact information was provided on my order, considering that's how they contacted me to let me know I'd arrived. Further, I did not even know who this other woman they gave my item to was. I found her email through the school's directory and emailed to inquire if she did indeed pick up my jacket. Because I never heard back from her and still did not have my item, I called the store 3x to get help and kept being told "a manager would call me back." Finally, after 2 weeks of trying to get help I spoke to the manager. And unbelievably he cut me off as I was explaining and stated they did me a favor by giving a mom at the school my jacket and hung up the phone on me! I called back and they would not even answer the phone! I had to call back from my work phone and inquired when i could I just expect a refund because I'm not hunting down this stranger that was given my item. The manger stated he would not refund me for the jacket I never received until he spoke to that other mom that they gave my jacket to! Despite the fact that the jacket was paid on my credit card with only my name as the purchaser and the person to pick it up. The manager would not give me a timeline and hung up on me again. Thankful my credit card is reimbursing me, but please beware. This was THE MOST AWFUL customer experience I've ever had. Not once did they apologize for my inconvenience, but insisted they did me a favor by giving my jacket to a stranger. TERRIBLE! I recommend you shop anywhere but here! read more

The only reason I go to this store is because I have no other choice. My children are in travel soccer, middle school sports and summer swimming - and the only place I can get their team clothing is here. Recently I placed an order and I was told they would be in within two weeks. It has been over a month and I still do not have them. Every time I have stopped by they have asked me if someone has called to let me know they are in and I have said no and they tell me not to come unless they call. They are rude and act as if I am imposing on them. This last saturday I was so fed up I called to speak to the owner who was not there. They said he would be in later that afternoon and would call me back. It is now three days later and I have not heard from him. Again, I would not go here unless I had to. The service is poor and the follow up is worse. Find anywhere else to go. I have never written a review online before but feel so strongly that we need a competitive store in bloomfield that I joined yelp only for this reason. read more

Also, when you call & they send you to total soccer in Pontiac, they will tell you their Pontiac hours are something much different than they really are. I drove 20 miles to get my lax stick re-strung, showed up on a Monday, exactly when the people at the BH location told me to be there, 12pm, only to find out the store doesn't open until 4! Worst place we have ever dealt with for getting spirit wear for teams. Slow service and turn around time, and then the products were not done correctly....minus the embroidery we paid for! Very frustrating ......got the product 1 week before the END of the season. Talked to someone on the phone who was a bit apologetic, but it doesn't unfortunately, change the facts..... Bottom line in that I don't think they care about the smaller orders and sales....just probably the big, money making orders....and that is sad. It is what it is. Small selection of targeted sports products. People more or less come here because the soccer league or school doesn't give them any choice. Prices should reflect this "sanctioning" but they really don't and are high. Maybe the soccer admins are benefiting somehow? Visited the Bloomfield sports shop inside ultimate soccer in Pontiac for lacrosse gear and advice. Marisa was awesome!, super friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. She answered all my questions and more. After being away from the sport for an extended time it was really nice to be able to speak to an expert and get the information I needed to get back in the game. She provided multiple options and pricepoints for all the gear necessary for my upcoming Men's league. The shop was well stocked and offers stringing services. To start off i'd like to say their location is extremely convenient. They have great hours and are open 7 days a week. I went to this store because my son was about to start playing lacrosse and he needed equipment. I was immediately helped and my son was outfitted head-to-toe. Bloomfield sports had everything we needed to put my son on the field. I looked around the store to see what else they had and found some great deals on underarmour gear. One of the last "old school" " brick & mortar" sports shops left in metro Detroit. I drove an hour away from New Baltimore & I was blown away by the selection they had in such a small space. I visit Bloomfield Sports a few times a year, and always get good service. I have a daughter who plays for BBSC, and a son who plays for another soccer club. Purchasing the BBSC uniform couldn't be easier - the staff always finds the right sizes, and has the numbers screen printed on them within minutes. I have tried other big sports stores for cleats, but always have more luck at Bloomfield Sports. They have a lot of sizes in the more reasonably priced cleats. The last time I bought cleats was in September 2016. The staff helped me to size my children and find the cleats that I was looking for. I was able to buy shin guards and the uniform at the same time, all while keeping my one year old busy. We were in and out within 20 minutes, which is priceless. Rude, rude, rude because the guy who owns it is rude and acts like the customers are stupid, everyone who works there follows suit. I've been going for years because my kids are required to get there sports gear there. Whoever gave this guy the contracts for all the schools gave him a pass he doesn't deserve. We all talk about what a jerk the guy is at the beginning of every season swimming, soccer and lacrosse but we are all stuck. I also think parents don't want to post reviews because they are afraid of them screwing up their kids stuff but I'm over it! The last straw was some 16 year old kid telling me that a products was great when I was trying to look for an alternative because it doesn't work for me. He actually made me feel like I was an idiot. I should be an idiot about this stuff and they should be the experts they just shouldn't make you feel like an idiot. These guys are awful! I used to go here all the time, it's so close to my house and all the clubs and teams deal with them. Then I got sick of the rudeness, the prices, and the general attitude of the store, so I have done my best to purchase elsewhere. The strength is the neighborhood location, and that their small inventory is generally pretty good. They screwed me over on a sub $10 price adjustment once, and I have proudly bought $1000's in equipment elsewhere since that incident (which was just the last in a long line). read more

I have purchased summer swim team gear for my daughter from this shop. They had a large selection of fun things for her to wear and she loves them all. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful when I ordered everything and picked it up as well. The personalized items I bought were completed quickly and the staff I met at pick up time were professional and warm. You will be hard-pressed to find a small local business that is less interested in creating a good relationship with its customers. Their bookkeeping is horrible, the shop is a mess, and the owners are unendingly rude. Time and time again we have been forced to pay for their errors - improper bookkeeping (we were bullied to pay twice for an expensive uniform), improper ordering (we have been forced to take uniform pieces that do not match because they didn't make enough), and bullied the whole time by the owners. If we were not forced to patronize this lousy establishment because of their relationship with our children's sports leagues, we would never step foot in their door again. Should you ever find yourself needing to do business with this company, make sure you keep your receipts - they will have no record of your business or any way of looking it up and will no doubt a) make a mistake and b) face you to pay for it (or embarrass your children by causing a scene in their store in front of them as if you made the mistake). read more

The worst sports shop I've ever been, will never recommend this shop even to my worst enemy. They allow money transactions to be made by minors. The order didn't come on time, we have to drive back and forth and when the order finally arrived, the name and product was incorrectly done and they want us to pay extra for the corrections even it wasn't our mistake. The product was corrected but the game season was over ! The owner doesn't seems to care, when we went there he was so rude and said he can't entertain us because he has to pick up his daughter. read more

I have been shopping here for years. The service has always been great. They have a good selection of specific sports products. They always have the team wear that I need, in the sizes I need. They also have the miscellaneous products that I am looking for. It's certainly isn't a "big box" store that has everything under the sun, but it's a perfect neighborhood sports store. read more
