Nancy is very detailed and quick. She was able to squeeze me in after I had a not so great experience at Moana Nail salon nearby (I was told that my tech for bridal nails was still sleeping/too hungover to come to work). GO SEE NANCY AT BLOOMING NAILS!

I had my nails done by Nyna for the first time and I'm so happy with how they turned out! She was very gentle, took her time, and made sure everything was perfect no pain, no cuts, just beautiful, clean work. You can really feel how much care she puts into what she does. The salon has such a calm and lovely vibe, and everyone was kind and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable too. I came by once on a Friday and didn't realize it was Nyna day off. I highly recommend Nyna if you want your nails done with love and great attention to detail. :)

Gel x almond nails with design and cat eye

Called and scheduled an appointment for 6pm gel x nails, my nail tech was Stacie and she did a great job! I love how my nails turned out. I used a reference pic and she duplicated it, no problem She also gave me a stamp card and I will def be returning back to her in the future. The salon itself is very quaint and I think family-run!

I did love my nails but they didn't even last a week and a half. My thumb broke in half a little over a week later. And I didn't even do anything that would cause it to break. There was also a little gap on my left pointer. My total was $95.

I got my engagement nails done here and I WILL be going back for my wedding in December. This review is long overdue! They did everything that I wanted: gel toes, ombré acrylics and acrylic 3d nail art. Parking is right in the front, which can be hard to find in town. Even if the parking lot was full, you could park in the mall and walk! I was a walk in that day, and it was raining. They still accommodated me. I know that nails can be very subjective, and even if my nails aren't to your liking, they have the skill to make your vision come true!

I was a walk-in and Stacie did what I wanted and did a great very & thorough job. I went to a place 2 days prior and I ripped my nails off because they look and felt so terrible. Only place I recommend for HI. Only downfall facilities were small and very warm. Also directions only take you to the front of the building not the actual shop. So if you are lost go to the parking lot to the next Right and it's in there!

Gel pedicure - completely shredded the skin..

I had a truly awful experience at this nail salon. I called ahead and they assured me it was fine to come in. I went there specifically to get my nails done for an important event tomorrow where there will be close-up pictures taken, so I wanted a clean,cute look. I asked for a very simple nude light pink glitter cat eye design that they literally had advertised in the salon, along with an acrylic fill and gel pedicure. From the moment I sat down, the experience was bad. There was a used rag with old dirty nail clippings and used tools all over the table where they wanted me to put my hands, which was completely unsanitary. The nail tech cut my cuticles and skin multiple times, and my fingers are still hurting. I originally had square acrylics and asked for almond shape. Every single nail came out uneven, jagged, different lengths, and different shapes. The tech also struggled with the cat eye design. I picked out a nude pink color, but she grabbed the wrong color and started layering random polishes trying to "fix" it instead of just telling me they didn't have the color I wanted I would have happily picked a different one. Now some nails are brown, some are pink, the cat eye is uneven on every finger, and there are chunks and dust cured into the polish so the nails are bumpy and rough. Another tech stepped in to help and was extremely rough with my hands and wrists the entire time, yanking my arm around every time I took my hand out of the lamp. The entire fill took FIVE HOURS by itself, and I was there almost their entire business day. Then I still had to get my pedicure done. I asked for square toes and they all came out different shapes too. Before I came in, the bottoms of my feet were completely normal. Now the skin on the bottoms of my feet is visibly shredded and torn up from the pedicure. It does not just feel irritated, the skin is actually damaged and rough looking even though I paid for an actual pedicure with scrub and care, not just a polish change. Not sure what products they use either but my feet were insanely dried out after. I literally left tearing up because of how bad everything looked. One employee did waive the cat eye upcharge, but it just sucks having to pay over $100 for stuff that comes out so bad I'm genuinely embarrassed to be seen with my nails like this.... Then Ill have to spend even more money trying to get everything redone before my event tomorrow morning, and I don't even know if I'll be able to get another appointment in time. Sadly this was a complete waste of money and one of the worst salon experiences I've ever had.

Came in for a basic pedicure because the place where I go to at downtown closed down and I was looking for a new place to go to. I looked at the reviews and decided to come here. The ladies were nice however, the lady who helped me rushed the job. The nails were uneven and it didn't get filed or shaped correctly. My cuticles were not cleaned either. The nail polish was uneven and messy. I didn't even get the 5 minute massage that the service was supposed to come with. On top of that, the lady told me to wait on the chair because the polish was still fresh then she left! She only came back to kick me out of the chair because other people came in. She grabbed and handed me my things and looked at me to put my slippers on. Mind you, the toe separator was still on my feet! On top of that, my feet started to itch bad when I got home. I rarely write bad reviews but I had to for this one because the price did not match the service they claim to give. Very disappointing.

This cute little place is located near an ally way with plenty of parking space especially in the morning. My mom and I arrived by the time they opened 10am. We went in as walk ins and were able to get attended to. I got a manicure gel x 85.00, gel pedicure for toes with scrub massage 50.00 & my mom got a gel manicure for 45.00. What I enjoyed most was the time they took without rushing. I felt so relaxed I almost fell asleep. They also had a good playlist in the background. My nail tech Abby took her time and made sure I liked the shape. I am happy with my service. The place is clean and each station has a sterilizer machine to keep tools clean. Before choosing a place I checked both google reviews and yelp. I believe I made the right choice. read more

Went here about a month ago, I asked the nail tech to just soak off my last nails because my nail beds were already thin and the way she was drilling was uncomfortable. She soaked them for a minute then proceeded to use the drill to take it all off. Also burnt me a couple of times. Less than two weeks with the set, almost every nail had visible cracks. I just got them off today and it took my nail tech twice as long to get them off because acetone wasn't doing anything and the layers were so thick. Rest of the staff were nice, but overall very disappointed. read more

I've gotten two gel manicures with nail art done at Blooming Nails and both results have been spectacular! Ryan did my first set in December and I believe Nelson(?) today. They are extremely meticulous with their work and achieved exactly what I asked for! They don't rush through the process and copy my inspiration photos perfectly. I searched up on yelp some different nail places and this one caught my eyes.. I've been to a few different places but wanted to try a new one .. the other ones price and quality wasn't matching and my nails didn't stay long . Anyways found this one and drove a little ways away to try it . Location was easy to find and perfect right across from ALA MOANA! Drove into blooming nails parking lot and found quite a few stalls perfect didn't struggle , I called in advance to ask if they take walk ins or if I should make an appointment .. lady was nice and said there will probably be a 20 minute wait but I could just come in . Entered the nail salon it was actually really nice and very clean and classy .. pedicure area chairs nice too:) sat down and waited . . Wait was longer then expected and I stayed way longer then expected but IT WAS WELL WORTH IT . To the point .. This is my new spot. People nice . Did a great job. Had 2 people end up working on my nails and this is the nicest set I've ever had ! Professionalism on point . A job well done on point . Also for they gave 15% off and I love that! Will be back for another set! Will definitely do my wedding and honeymoon set here ! 6 days old set literally still fresh as ever! read more

I have been here several times now and have been very pleased with the services. Both mani and pedi's turn out great. Blooming Nails appears clean and well kept. I have been to several other local nail salons that have been dirty and I have witnessed poor cleaning/sanitation. But here, I have observed appropriate sanitation and cleaning between customers! Staff has been friendly and do their best not to keep walk ins waiting. While pleasant staff is very important at a nail salon my priority is a clean location!! Girl time with one of my friends! We made an appointment for 10am to do our gel pedicures. Parking was easy and location is great. The workers and owner were friendly and provided a great experience. Wasn't able to get any pictures because my friend and I were so relaxed and comfortable that we were able to catch up the entire time . I'm not a massage chair person but I actually liked it! I also liked how their machines for the gel polish to dry were stress free. They cover your toes and you don't need to slip it in the machine worrying if it's going to damage your polish. 10/10 recommend and it's near Ala Moana. read more

For the amount of money I spent on my nails, I should've had perfect nails. Really wanted to like this place because the pictures they show are of beautiful nails and designs. Unfortunately, worst French tip I've ever, ever gotten and worst nail design. I asked to have them fixed a few times and they didn't get better. I was so over it I drove to another salon to have them completely remove the set and redo them. $400+ in one day for gel mani/pedi is sinful. I'm so upset I want to cry lol. This was my first time getting my nails done at this salon since moving here. I came in for an acrylic fill-in around 4:30pm on a Wednesday and was helped right away. Stacey did an amazing job--I absolutely love how my nails turned out! Additionally, the atmosphere was clean and welcoming; the other workers seemed super friendly. In the end, the entire process took no longer than 2 hours and I paid around $80, which I think is reasonable for what I got. I can't wait to make this a regular spot for me to visit! read more

This salon is wonderful! The area is clean with beautiful relaxing atmosphere. The owners Stacy and Nelson make sure every customer is pampered and receives exceptional service. I used to go to their old shop and was sad when the sold it but their new shop is even better, new equipment and service. It is centrally located with free parking. read more

I had high hopes for this location as I saw their work on Instagram and chose to switch on my normal salon. Looking in, the space did seem clean and comfortable. I was seated immediately as I had called prior to schedule an appointment the same day at 4. Nelson did my nails. While Stacy did my toes. A full acrylic set was done on my nails, and a gel polish on my toes. The acrylics have been lifting around the edges since the beginning. Making them look old and dirty. Getting my toes done was the worst experience. Stacy dug into the side of my big toe, where I did NOT have an ingrown nail, causing my toe to stay swollen and enflamed with pain for a week now. Additionally, it looks like I am getting an infection at the area where she dug into. Stacy knew she had gone to far and hurt me when she looked up as she was digging into the side of my toe and saw me wincing in pain. I will be taking a trip to the doctors to examine my toe as there is definitely something wrong with what they did to me. It has been over a week now since going in and my toe is in constant pain and swollen. Overall, I don't recommend coming here unless the other ladies are better at acrylics. And I would never get another pedicure here again!!! read more

Very excited to digest extra stuff ... without telling you it'll be extra. "Oh...can I put a flower on one of your nails?" Both ring fingers done ... $25 extra on the tab when checking out. That was by wife. I was talked into a foot rub. As my feet soaked, the sweet woman bright a pedicure tray over. I had to deny three offers to just let her clip my already short nails. Then she proceeded to give a foot rub which consisted of running her thumbs and forefingers along my lower leg bones for 30 minutes. She also gave me a run down on her family and asked multiple questions about how long I was staying and where and what I did for a living. My entire mission while in that chair was to not cry or flinch. When she was done, I felt comfortable concluding she had not one single day of training in massage therapy. My bill was $60. My wife's was $42 for gel plus $25 for two flowers. All in all, we left laughing (and limping), but $150 lighter than when we went in.

The basic pedicure also included quite a bit of different services and that's just basic, and I think it's more than enough. Parking could be challenging because they only have a few spots right outside the salon as the other stalls are reserved for other businesses. Some signs would specify their hours of operation so if I arrive out of those hours I would just park there. Also Sunday street parking is free. Sometimes they would send random texts for 5% off, and also discounts for birthdays. I mean it's not much but better than nothing. Great spot.
