This nail shop is only 2 months old, and everything is brand new and nice and clean. Massage chairs are brand new, nail supplies are brand new. But what makes it great are the people! The owner is so sweet and welcoming. This was my 1st visit and she just poured out hospitality with snacks and something to drink. And the vibe is so cute - she's got her fall decor on lock. Wanted to try somewhere new so went to a different pedicure spot. Called the day before and made an appointment for 10 am. The guy on the phone sounded so busy but he got my name so it was a go. Parked in the back area because that's technically their private lot. I would've never knew about the back parking if I hadn't been there before... the person who used to do my nails at that same exact shop ended up leaving cuz of Covid she couldn't afford the rent so she left. it's a bit tricky to find if you haven't been there before... also used to be able to enter from the back but I decided to enter from the front. Got sat right away and the husband took off my old gel nail color. The wife was finishing up another customers nails. It's just the 2 of them. They did have their kids as well and I tried not to find it bothersome but they did cry. It sucks because they're babies so I understand them having to be there but it's just unfortunate that there was no peace and quiet in the salon. I didn't have a problem with them but just wish it was a bit more peaceful. I picked the deluxe pedicure not expecting it to come with the wax treatment lol that was the first time I've ever tried that.... She did an ok job. She didn't really clean up around the mail polish so it was sort of ugly. Also I paid $85.05 + 15% tip = $97... girllll I've never paid that much for a pedicure before. So just be mindful they are a bit pricey. I usually pay around $90 with tip for gel pedicure deluxe including gel removal... but not here They're really nice though so that's good, the massage was pretty long and she has strong hands. The only downside that I experienced here was that it left my feet really oily. I was slipping walking out with my slippers... very uncomfortable but I guess it is what it is :) Will I be back? I wanted to treat myself to a fresh set of lashes & nails. I went to Rose Nails a few years ago and decided to give them another shot since they're walking-distance from where I live & I didn't want to drive. I texted their number and confirmed an appointment pretty quickly. Nails: I opted for neutral coffin-shaped acrylics & it turned out fine, but it seemed rushed & I got nicked pretty bad on my right thumb. Lash Extensions: Unfortunately, I had the most uncomfortable experience. The lash tech was nice, but she accidentally glued my bottom lashes to the extensions. Her defense was: "your bottom lashes are too long". This has never happened to me before. So there I was, laying in discomfort, tears streaming out of my eyes as she attempted unglue/snip off all my stuck lashes. I have sensitive eyes so some tears were expected, but never anticipated this much discomfort & burning. After I left, I felt something poking my eye. Turns out she missed a lash. You can see it in my picture. For basically the entire week, it hurt when I blinked/yawned. Whenever I showered, my eyes burned. I paid in full and still thanked them when I left even though I was kind of traumatized lol. Sadly, won't return. I came here to get my nails done, because it was walking distance from where I lived, so I decided too give this salon a try. I had gotten acrylics long nails also a pedicure, how ever when I arrived... no one had open the door for me, I knocked three times . The door was locked but the open sign was on . I was outside in the hot sun for 10 mins. Then I had called them telling rose nails I am outside are you guys open today , they said yes and someone finally opened the door to service me. Remind you I was the only costumer in the shop. When I got inside, the ac wasn't on it was hot. I was sweating almost the whole service . When I was almost finish with the service... they had turned on the ac SMH . Nails : I was getting my nails done , and they over cut my cuticles that left me real nail bleeding, and over shaved my nails that I kept saying ouch during my services. acrylics didn't even last for a week. They fell out after a week. I wanted French tips. They had left small dots of stains on my nails and bubbles . Pedicure : Then the guy was going my toes then I asked for a callus removal. HE HAD TOLD ME NO. He isn't going to do the callus removal because he already painted my nails. Then after has service me with the callus removal. He didn't soak my feet or anything he just put the treatment on and used the callus removal then put my slippers on. Then my slipper felt all slimy because product was still on my feet. I still paid over 100$ just to get this not good experience here, just to have my nails fall out before the day of my photoshoot, smh. And just to get my slippers all slimy. And my self care day all sweating in the heat in a salon smh. Never experience such thing as this . read more

My mom and my pedicures were very sloppy. My nails weren't shaped or filed, my moms was sloppily painted and chipped. The lady serviced us. My grandma and best friend had no issues. I have had a good experiences with the guy, but the woman serviced us terribly. I would come here again, but only if serviced by the guy. Still, I wasted $60 on poorly done pedicures. I stumbled across this hidden gem while picking up my order at Von's Chicken, back when they were open downtown. As of my visit today, I've probably been in a total of 4 times. If it were not for frequent work trips off island, I would get my nails done here consistently! The salon is family owned and operated. Rose and her husband, Andy, have been the only ones who have serviced me as of yet. Andy is hands down my go-to for the best pedicures on Oahu. He takes his time, and gives the best massages! His wife, Rose, is very talented and is always so meticulous when doing my Gel Manicures. The salon has a great selection of colors, for both gel and regular polish options. Especially with COVID still prevalent on island, I love the cleanliness of the salon! I always feel comfortable when I'm getting serviced and am always told to relax... exactly what I need after a long week or work day! Today, 10/30/21, I got a Deluxe Pedicure with Gel Polish, and a Gel Manicure. I normally get fun colors but was feeling all black for Halloween! I got in around 5:00PM, and left around 6:30PM. If you haven't tried this hidden gem, I highly recommend you do! The location is super convenient to the downtown/Pali area, and parking is easy! 13 Days After My First Visit Update: After completing my first visit/review, I was nicely contacted by an employee apologizing & "trying to right a wrong". As a customer who has experienced "bad service", I want to commend this nail shop for having accountability & respect for their customers experiences. My second go at this salon was 10x better! Andy was apologetic, professional, fast, nice, informative & considerate. Even though I had to wait 25min after my scheduled time, Im the type of person where, as long as you keep me in the loop & apologize for the wait? I don't mind the wait at all. As soon as he sat down we figured out my color & design then he went straight to work. I wanted a navy green nail polish but the marble design I chose needed to be a dip powder color so I decided on a grayish purple color. The staff is really nice. However it is definitely not a spa environment. You will pay typical prices for nails and pedicures but you will not get the same experience you could get elsewhere. While getting a pedicure, I felt it took much longer than it should have because they needed to attend to their children. Their daughter is really sweet and cute. However it can definitely be distracting. The paint job was not as good as I had hoped. The corners were not fully covered and chipped within a week. I think this is a result of their multitasking. The gel did not last as long as does when I went to other salons. I went to the beach and it peeled, this never happened so quickly when I went to other salons. The location is also a challenge. There are often homeless people sitting outside and the front door is typically locked. On one occasion the owners had to lock us in the salon because a homeless person was acting irate and banging on the door. Police were called. At first I understood it is a small family business. However, I will definitely be going elsewhere. Paying $170 to not be satisfied left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Not the greatest at doing acrylic nails. Went there 4 days ago, and my nails are already coming off. During the service, the nail tech did not do any nail and cuticle care. They forced too small of nail tips on my nails instead of using the right size. When they were applying the acrylic, it got all over my fingers and covered my cuticles. During the service, they didn't use an SMA and would use their vape in the salon. When I left, my nails started to hurt and were bleeding. I noticed that the nails were either pointing up or down and weren't even. I called the salon the following day to tell them what was going on with the nail and didn't do anything about it. Overall, they are only there for a paycheck and don't care about their guests. read more

I went here a few times when the younger couple was there and they were great. However this last visit was an older man and woman who were nice. However I only asked for a simple gel mani/pedi and received the services from the older man. It was the worst experience ever at a nail salon. He had to redo my nails 3 times blaming the UV nail lamps. It was painful when he tried scraping and then filing the polish off. I did let him know it was painful and to be careful. Finally around 4 hours the woman had to redo the nails. She was nice enough and apologized. She did a great job with the ones she fixed. But seriously why is that guy working there? I did not make a scene, just ran out of there and wasn't going to write this review because I really like the other couple who was there previously, but after taking that long on a simple mani/pedi and inflicting pain on me, and leaving there with the ugliest mani/pedi I've ever gotten, if it were me, I would've at least given a discount. DO NOT let the older man do your nails. Sad to say I will never be going there again and am just worried that someone else will experience what I have. Be careful read more
