This Staff here is horrible. They dont give you the full information and they just wat to charge you for no reason. Check the patients insurance first before making the appointment. Dr. Golian is a very skilled and most of all, honest pediatric dentist practitioner. Our previous dentist office at Kidz Dental Care at 11239 Tampa Ave #208, Northridge, CA 91326 wanted over 6k for "several" cavity fillings and 2 baby crowns under anesthesia for my 5 year old boy. And yes, thats after billing our dental Anthem insurance plan 4k lol. Dr. Golian at Blooming Smiles Denistry retook the x rays and showed us that there was an "overdiagnosis" at our previous dentist office. He was very honest and knowledgeable. Maybe because Blooming Smiles is a certified pediatric orthopedic dentist office, but Dr. Golian new exactly what needed to be performed without "over treatment" on my 5 year old. Most importantly, they offered a very reasonable copay than what was originally quoted by Kidz Dental Care (10k total lol) when Blooming Smiles had more credentials and experience as a real pediatric orthopedic dentist. After the treatment, Dr. Golian showed us (first time parents) how to properly floss our son's teeth and what foods like gummies and apple juice etc to avoid for cavities. I was really impressed with the entire office's care and honesty. We came back after six months and my son has no cavities! I'm so grateful to have found Dr. Golian! On a Saturday, I waited 20 minutes in the lobby for the front desk girl to tell me that they don't accept MetLife PPO dental insurance and that I'll have to pay out of pocket. We left without being seen. I called the office the next day to ask what kind of dental insurance they accepted and was told Metlife is accepted as long as it's a PPO and I was given the wrong information. Dr. Gholian explained every step to her and asked her constantly if she was ok or had any questions. The hygienist held her hand to keep her calm. I would never take my child there again, they insisted on making a baby tooth covered with black or getting a root canal when my baby was 2 years old and did not need it. I took my daughter who is 22 months old for her first dental visit and I was beyond impressed with this office. I can honestly say her first visit was PLEASANT! For COVID-19, they have UV lights to kill all bacteria and clean air is filtered in every 8 minutes. They also have you wait in your car and text you when your seat is ready to limit the number of people in the waiting room. As for the visit, they had myhold my daughter in my lap and lie her down into the dentist's lap. They are SO professional and truly knowledgeable working with young children. My daughter didn't squirm or cry at all. Her first visit consisted of a cleaning, flossing, polishing, and fluoride/vitamin treatment. The majority of the visit was informing us of good dental hygiene and care. We were in and out in 30 minutes. The best part was they made my daughter feel comfortable the entire time by showing her the tools they were using and waiting until she was ready to open her mouth before going into her mouth. We only went in for an orthodontics consultation for my 10 yr old. Loved how the doctor is not pushy. He examined my child's X-rays and determined that there was no "emergency" which would require Phase 1 to expand the jaw bone and since there are still a lot of baby teeth, he recommended to do nothing right now.
