We started braces here a few months ago and the kids teeth are already so much better. They don't have that much pain when they get things tightened. I've seen other kids go through more painful experiences. So I'm relieved that my kids don't have those issues. The kids are super happy and comfortable with Dr Pair. Wow! I cannot believe the journey I had with my daughter's orthodontist treatment. Before finding Dr. Pair's office I was in desperate need of finding an excellent doctor who can treat my daughter. It was a rare and difficult case.  I visited many offices trying to find the right doctor. But no one fulfilled my expectations, it seemed like they weren't clear about what they wanted to do, they were completely unsure. Our priority was to find the right person because we had a horrible past experience with another doctor who treated my other daughter. Honestly, we were traumatized, it was a nightmare. I was thinking if that orthodontist couldn't treat a normal case, how can I find the right person to treat this difficult case? Thank God, one day somebody suggested Dr. Pair's office, though the person said his office was very far from where I lived. From that point on, I decided to visit him at that moment, the distance did not matter.  The second I stepped in the office and did the check up on my daughter's case. Dr. Pair's immediate confidence in his work made us believe and trust that everything will be okay. His professionalism in overviewing my daughter's case showed how much experience he had. He was enthusiastic and always with a positive attitude towards it. He never used the word "difficult" instead he used the word "interesting." Everything for him was simply interesting.  I am deeply grateful for the results. He changed my daughter's life forever, he is an amazing orthodontist, and respects his profession. And I cannot forget to mention Kodi, the orthodontist assistant, who cared for my daughter. She had rebuilt my daughter's confidence and trust. Kodi is not only an amazing assistant but also the sweetest person that we ever met, she was always helping us in all situations.  The results in the ending were truly incredible, like I mentioned before, the office was not close to my home but it was worth every drive. The most amazing orthodontists and office of all time, especially if you need jaw surgery! I needed to switch orthodontists, and Pair Orthodontics was beyond accommodating with easing the transition. Dr Pair and Hoang are two of the nicest people that you could meet and I trust them fully. I had a complex situation with invisalign, which needed to be prepped for jaw surgery. They prepared my teeth very well for jaw surgery and were flexible with working with the surgeon throughout the process. The staff is awesome- extremely responsive, communicative, kind, and professional. The office also has a friendly, small-office atmosphere with cute decorations of animals with braces. Appointments run on time and the office is air conditioned and typically has a good amount of space for social distancing if needed. I just finished my double jaw surgery which went well and will be starting up another round of invisalign to fully adjust my teeth. It's interesting to see so many positive reviews. Our experience was not great - and we have experience with three area orthodontists across two kids as basis of comparison. Or experience was with Invisilign treatment in our young teen (13). Yes, we made the decision to do Invisilign instead of traditional braces. The issue (one of many) was that, after the first week of trays when I as Mom realized what a giant mistake we made with my forgetful, disorganized teen losing trays, i immediately - and repeatedly- expressed my concerns to Dr Pair. I asked to switch to traditional braces within the first month of starting Invisilign as I could see the future of wasted time and money. I felt (and still feel) that the Dr and staff repeatedly put my concerns off and acted as if switching was not possible - unless we wanted to completely lose the couple thousand dollars we'd paid and start over money wise. Now, I know from speaking with Invisalign directly and to several other orthodontists that this should not be the case. Most orthodontist practices have a mechanism in place to change course without incurring cost for two whole treatments. I was told by staff that Invisalign does not allow for this. I got the feeling throughout my son's treatment that it was a "check the box" activity of having us come in for check ups with dental assistants and then Dr "encouraging" my child while there to quit misplacing his trays - but no actual concern or action as, after all, they had already been paid. The office has no adherence program to follow up or encourage the kids between visits as so many other offices do. Ultimately, the attitude every time I brought up my concerns was that it was our fault and if he would just wear his trays....super annoying and a giant waste of time and money. Needless to say, we are having our other child receive his orthodontic treatment elsewhere. read more

All worked out quite well and were fairly priced. The staff here is amazing! They're all so friendly from the moment you walk in to the second you leave. Dr Michael is very friendly and actually listens to your opinions. I can't say enough good things about this practice. Dr. J gives me the time I need to ask questions and fully answers them in understandable terms. They're extremely competent and just the right kind of cool for kids as well as adults. This is my second time in braces and the adjustment initially wasn't much fun, but having such confidence in their skills and their office vibe being so relaxing has made it much more tolerable. Dr Pair and his entire staff have been amazing throughout my entire process. I was referred to Pair Orthodontics from my primary care physician, who's son had a similar situation as myself. I needed adult braces prior to having jaw surgery in order to align the teeth properly to achieve the correct bite after my jaw was to be repositioned. My surgeon was very impressed with how perfectly my teeth were going to line up once the surgery was complete. I'm now 3 months post op and my braces were taken off today, many months prior to what we had anticipated at the beginning. I am a very happy man! The whole team has been awesome to work with. 11 years ago, my beautiful daughter was born with a bilateral cleft lip/palate and has received extensive medical, surgical and dental care ever since. When it was time to begin a new round of complex orthodontic treatment, I asked for a referral from the Craniofacial team at UCLA and was told we could do no better than Dr. Jason Pair. Boy, were they right! Dr. Pair and his staff provide excellent treatment services and do so with compassion, understanding and genuine interest and concern for my daughter. The treatmemt plan was explained fully and the staff are available whenever necessary to answer all our questions and to manage concerns. Not surprisingly, my daughter is now saying she wants to become an orthodontist just like Dr. Pair! I'd never thought that a man who instilled such fear and caused so much mouth pain when I was a kid (got the full and ugly train-tracks braces) would get 5-stars from me! When I was younger, I had rotten teeth. Not cavity-wise (that's another review) but really embarrassing crooked teeth that sprouted all over the place. Though I was trying to avoid getting braces like the plague, the only solution back then was getting the full tracks and a goofy wrap-around headgear. Anyway this review is really for Dr. David Pair who treated me many moons ago and fast-forward years later, he (along with son Jason) is still going strong. This Northridge office is way better than his old Van Nuys place. The receptionists are uber nice, the place is friggin' spotless, and the office is decorated with whimsical decor (more for putting kids at ease). Even stuff animals are wearing braces. Most of the original orthodontist assistants that treated me way back when are still working with Dr. D. Dr. D was awesome. Knowing that I didn't like the idea of having braces and that my procedure was going to be a long one, he put me to ease with his sense of humor and happy-to-see-you disposition. In short he made it as painless as possible. If I had a wire snapped or anything else that went wrong, I was treated right away. Now I have mega-straight teeth and only have to wear my Invisalign retainer (oh why oh why Invisalign doesn't exists way back when??) at night. I still visit Dr. D (who shares the office with son Jason) for routine checkups and fittings at no cost. As always Dr. D remained his funny and pleasant self. read more

I went to Dr Pair about 17 years ago at the age of 42 to get braces. He was recommended to me by my dentist and I started orthodontics along with my two sons. He did a beautiful job and my two sons and We still have wonderful straight teeth to this day. 17 years later I had an issue with my retainer... Which I still wear! I waited a very long time to get braces because. I went to many orthodontists, but I just did not feel any of them genuinely had my best interests in mind, that was until I walked into this office. Throughout my treatment cycle I saw both Jason and David Pair. The entire office staff is wonderful as are both of the doctors. I had been told it would take 3 years to align my teeth, they got them on and off in 18 months. They were also realistic with me and let me know up front that braces could only align my teeth but that my teeth were small and there was a good possibility to get the look I desired I may also want to consider having my dentist build them up after othodontic treatment. I took their advice and did everything they recommended and I am no longer embarassed to smile for pictures. Here is my before and after.
