Occasionally I shop at this Bloomingdale's, and it's a nice upscale store inside the Lennox Mall. Today I went to check on the Estee Lauder counter for perfumes. Nice EL Specialist helped me find my favorite perfume in a smallest size. I don't need to carry heavy bottles or gallons of fragrance in my purse while I'm traveling. We found it. I was static and surprised about the low price. However, while sitting and drinking coffee at the Mall, I wanted to apply some perfume on myself. When I opened my package, I found out that she has sold me a travel size lotion. Went back to exchange it, but there was nothing available in a small size. She kept on trying to persuade me to purchase an oversized fragrance. I kept my lotion even she offered to refund my money. After considering the facts, I felt that she just wanted to make a sale, and thought that I wouldn't come back from the other side of Atlanta to exchange my purchase. If this didn't happen, I could have gone back and bought something else, since Estee Lauder had a pre-sale on purchases over $75 that includes a free gift. 11-16-24 When I walked through the door I exclaimed "I'm Home"! I love Bloomingdale's and since I am in need of a dress for my nieces wedding we took the five hour drive to get to our closest store. Although they did not have my size I did find a dress. The sales associate ordered and had it sent to my home at no additional cost. It doesn't fit but I am confident I will lose the additional weight I put on from stress of my moving. Hubby saw a denim Ralph Lauren jacket he wanted but also didn't have in stock. Once we returned to Hilton Head I went to our local Ralph Lauren store and got it for him. If you need a special occasion dress this is your store. read more

Your experience & enjoyment of this location will largely depend on how busy it is and the time of year. My parents actually renovated this store in the 80s (along with a whole host of other department stores around the world) so it has a special place in my heart. Staff interactions can be hot or miss. The staff in home & gifts as well as the registry staff are all incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. Also the woman who works the Le Labo counter could not be nicer or more personable without being tik pushy. After the amount of interactions I have had with her I'm ashamed I don't know her name. But otherwise it is largely people just doing a retail job. Large footprint. Generally clean. I would choose these bathrooms over the other department store offerings (even over Neimins) read more

Bad serivce in the Atlanta store at Lenox Mall. I ordered online a very expensive face cream( Natura Bisse). Once I received my order the face cream it was old, runny, and not good. I took this product to the store and ask for a refund or another jar. I was told that they dont sell it in the store anymore just online. Employee told me she could order another jar and have it sent to my home I agreed and the second order arrive at my house. Well this jar was OLD too. Looks just like the first jar. I took the jar back to the store as well and was told i could only get a Bloomingdales gift card. Hmmm, at this point all I wanted was a credit done on my visa not a Bloomingdales gift card There was no manager in that department just a manger that refusted to credit my visa which is the payment I used online. One employee told me I need to be gald to get that cause it was open and they can't resale it. I said really you all should not be selling OLD items anyway. I was also told that after 30 days I wouldnt be able to get the gift card. My 30 days would run out soon as I would be out of town and not able to come back to the store to handle this with the manager. THIS IS THE WORST. Manager's Attitude Damages Brand Reputation While I was shopping nearby, I overheard the women's manager, Kee B., tell a customer, "You don't work here, you don't know what you're talking about... that's why I'm here." My shopping experience was almost a complete fail. The store was fairly empty when I arrived. I noticed 2 women sales associates in the denim area while I browsed, but neither acknowledged me. I left to shop in some other stores in the mall and when I returned, I received the same lack of customer service. This time there were a group of sales associates in the contemporary area that were gossiping and looking at their phones. Once again, I was not acknowledged by any of the staff. I ended up finding a nice pair of jeans and a cute top, but I wasn't going to let either one of them get the commission, so I remembered a sales associate in a different department that assisted me previously and decided to let her get the sale. She was the saving grace of my experience here and she was very courteous. Unbeknownst to me, they were having their " buy more, get more" event whet you can get a gift card on certain purchases and I got a gift card that I can use until 4/17. The staff in the contemporary department almost ruined my shopping experience. They really need to be properly trained on how to provide customer service. read more

A last-minute need had to me come to Lenox...ugh. The flip side was the ease of entering on the second floor by the furniture & textiles to get a gift card. Ms. K was kind & helpful while she processed my request. I'm mostly an online shopper as Neiman & Nordstrom's was my go-to stores. Yet after a pleasant outing with Ms. K & with a need shop in person, I'd return back to here. I love online shopping but for some reason I hate Bloomingdale's online store but I love their physical store itself...Not sure as to why...Maybe the layout is better or maybe because they have hot sales associates working in the men's department...that's probably it.... I usually hit this store around the holidays and always leave a happy customer. I think their women's department is fantastic along with their shoes and accessories. I like it better than Nordstrom...to be honest I only like Nordstrom's cosmetic section.... Their customer service has always been top notch. Never had problems finding people to help me find things or when it came time to check out there were always cashier everywhere...this of course isn't the same in all department store so I appreciate that Bloomingdale have this part down pretty packed....their parking lot is always great for getting a good parking spot even on the weekends and holidays....it's just all around a great store....can't wait to come back to spend all my next paycheck here... read more

When I found out the were closing the Bloomingdale's in Perimeter Mall, I was frighten that this location would be shuttered soon also. So far so good. You can always find a friendly employee to assist you. Not over bearing for those that work on commission. I can't wait til I get myself a man. I went to Bloomingdale's today around noon to purchase some Jo Malone perfume the sales lady was awesome, it was a lot of ladies around the section trying many samples of the many different bottles of product.. the sales lady had it together and I bought a few different bottles and the sales lady gave me a good amount of samples of different ones of Jo Malone to try at home.. she had a great attitude seems like good customer service is hard to find nowadays but this lady was great I hate I don't remember her name but I will definitely come back. read more

So I had been saving my Bloomie's gift card from Christmas - all $300 of it!! - for just the right occasion. Because he is so good to me, J's birthday seemed like the perfect one. He has a guy who does custom suits for him, ie he is very particular about clothes. Most of the gifts I've given him have been things like books and other stuff based on his known preferences, but I really wanted to do a final gift out of his birthday-week-celebration that was something special. I thought about shoes - but that's dicey. I thought about ties, which is probably dicier. Then I had the "aha moment"! The man ALWAYS wears a pocket square in his suit (he also carries a real handkerchief but that's another topic) - and he likes colorful ties and shirt combos. Enter Bloomingdale's - never having shopped for pocket squares before, I was nervous. The guys in the mens' dept were SO awesome. I now have contacts there for future gift purchases! After guiding me to their bespoke collection, and showing me several pretty ones, I settled on two - one a light pink with a beautiful texture to it (I did not know this til I gave it to him, but he only has one pink one and it's untextured so he was delighted - yes, he is that specific about his attire but somehow pulls it off . . . and he is a guy who can pull off wearing pink or purple) and this other one that had four different black and white kind of checked patterns so depending on how it's folded, it will show a different side. I really wish I could give bloomie's a better score than a 3! But honestly, the service here isn't nearly as good as Nordstrom. Bloomingdales is a high(er)-end luxury department store and the service just doesn't measure up to expectations (not mine at least). bloomingdales: Tori M in the shoe section is a star. she's THE BEST employee you have. also your store is well organized and clean. i came to return some women's clothes i bought online. i haven't been to the bloomingdales at Lenox mall in over 3 yrs, didn't know where anything was. I somehow ended up in the men's section, got passed around and told to go to another register. then they told me to go to the women's section upstairs. I went upstairs the ladies at the perfume counter passed me over told me to go to the women's section but didn't tell me where it was. they seemed too busy. then I walked to the shoe section and found Tori. I asked her where to return these in the women's section and she VERY kindly took me and helped me return my clothes. she didn't have to do that, i had been passed around. not only did she help me but after she finish the return she kindly told me the women's section was on the other side. This review is going to be based on professionalism. So it begins with being called to set up an interview. The person that called was Amber Trobridge to set an interview with Thomas Hunt. I replied and she scheduled my interview. I met with Thomas Hunt who conducted my interview it was very causal and laid back. Thomas said he wanted to make a decision with in the next two weeks for the position. So weeks go by and I didn't hear anything. Normally if a company decides to move in a different direction you receive a courtesy letter letting you know. I never heard from them again. I figured ok they didn't go with me until I seen a missed call from a Georgia number which is unusual sense I just moved here. So i checked my voicemails and seen the one from Bloomingdale's. However it was the original one so a mistake on my part. So I called Amber back to with my information and instead of being professional and telling me I made a mistake told me to hold on. So Amber put me on permanent hold and never came back. So I called back and she sent me straight to voice mail. I understand I was mistaken but be professional and politely tell me I was mistaken that's what happened instead of the immature behavior. I'm a customer for Bloomingdale's as well so I deserve to be treated politely and professionally as well. We are all adults. So still not know my mistake because Amber isn't mature enough to simple address the issue and say you made a mistake I email her. Amber still didn't reply. I am physically afraid to go to this store for fear of being abused by their employees and ask for help I have been reprimanded and scolded by a member of the Bloomingdales corporate team and when I have tried to get my concerns addressed they do not call me back here is the letter I sent I have spent over 20,000 in the last year primarily at the Lenox Atlanta, Georgia Bloomingdales store. The issue started on May 4,2018 when I went to the Lenox Store and the Coach Wristlet I wanted was not available in the color. The salesperson called the 59th street flagship store and they ordered the wristlet. On the day it arrived it was the wrong color, so I called the 59th street store for them to order the correct item. I called the NYC store more than 20 times that day and was transferred to the wrong department each time. When I called 59th street store I asked for the store manager more than 20 times and was transferred to the china department manager, the men's manager, the jewelry manager. I physically went to the Lenox Store and asked for the store manager twice and was refused by staff. Instead a manager named Jennifer came down and offered to put the gift cards on my account and told me to go to Macy's or Coach and would not assist me in anyway further. I went to the Macy's store at Lenox the same day and went to the Coach salesperson who was being rude, demeaning and decided not ask for her assistance based on her behavior and treatment of the young customer in front of me. Since then I made over 25-50 more phone calls to the 59th street store where finally I told a salesperson that I had seen the bag at the flagship store at Macy's in NYC and he said he could obtain the bag but I could not locate him to do it. Then Michelle Choi after more phone calls to the 59th street store at my suggestion contacted the Coach buyer to see if she could obtain the bag and she did and they promised to put a return label in with the new bag and it was never done so there would be an even exchange. I made another 25 phone calls and posted on Facebook my issues and I spoke to Julie W. in Corporate customer service she continued to make me feel as if I was not a valued Bloomingdales customer. Today, I decided to go the Lenox store because I had enough in the way I have been treated by the Bloomingdales store management of the Lenox and 59th Street stores, and Julie W. in corporate customer service due to the amount of runaround that I have been put through which they are still do not understand and are extremely unsympathetic to my situation and make unwanted comments about that they would not go to great lengths to assist me or care about me being happy or a valued customer. I returned the 5400.00 diamond tennis bracelet, 82.00 pair of leggings and the wristlets, in return I was given a 106.00 Bloomingdales gift card knowing that I have no use for this because I told Deana James, Julie W. and others that I would not return to the store or shop at Bloomingdales because I was not treated properly and feel store management, corporate management is not taking what I have experienced seriously and closed my Bloomingdales account. The response from Julie W. in corporate customer service was throw it away the gift card. I asked to speak to Executive customer care team and was given the wrong number by Deana James, the General Manager of the Lenox store and when i explained it was the wrong number she did not believe me when I told her, I called the number in front of her and it was wrong and she kept insisting it was the right number and I put it on speaker phone for her to hear and she realized the mistake but never apologized to me. Finally I was given the correct number and explained my extreme frustration and lack of empathy, runaround that I experienced so far and the person with whom I spoke with did not understand the degree of desperation and frustration II was feeling and her solution was to direct me to the District Manager which was not correct in this case. She was extremely unsympathetic and did not display any empathy, nor validated my feelings for my situation Then I spoke to Renee Geier, who was a supervisor at the Executive Team and again I felt she did not understand the amount of runaround that I have experienced and asked numerous times to escalate the situation to her boss and she refused. Again she refused to validate my feelings about the situation nor did she display empathy for what I have experienced. I was told to put my complaint in writing my Ms. Geier and that I would never receive a phone call from the CEO or anyone high up in the Bloomingdales Executive team and that nobody would be willing to resolve the situation. At this time I will never shop at another Bloomingdales again or possibly at a Macy's store because of the way I was treated until I speak to Terry Lundgren or an executive officer at Bloomingdales of my experiences and treatment. read more

STAY AWAY FROM DRESSES AND MANAGER AMBER!!!!! I typically purchase from here until recently. I went in store to get a dress and they didn't have a size so I ordered it. Once the dress was delivered the size was off so I took it back into two different departments. One department said they couldn't take it bc the tag wasn't attached, which it was. The manager AMBER in dresses stated there was no black security tag. Granted I never tried the dress on, and brought it in exactly the way it was sent. Employers don't get to experience their own employees like we do. This past Saturday my best friend and I had an AMAZING "fragrance consultation" with Malik Singleton. Not only is Malik tall, beautiful and fashionably correct the knowledge shared about fragrances were endless. Not only did Malik feed us with the contents of each scent he painted a vivid picture using scenarios and aroma reactions of other people. Malik shared pairing suggestions and explained how the scents complimented one another. Only thing I was missing was a bottle of red wine, heck I'm sure Malik could have told us which wine paired good with each fragrance! LOL. He was not pushing for a sell he wanted us to understand and be in love with our decision. He wanted to make sure our scent tickled and kissed the nose hairs of everyone we encounter. That is the type of quality experience that make you go back for and tell everyone about. Malik is "The Nose" of Bloomingdales in Lenox Square! Personality and energy UNMATCHED. So, Ladies and Gents when you want a fragrance experience and not just a "popular" scent go have an "MSE" Malik Singleton Experience. Fragrances are not all about what's hot it's about how you can take it and make it your own. Remember you can't say the "Malik" without the "Singleton" and when you see and meet Malik you won't ever want to hear about fragrances from anyone else! She is quite rude, unprofessional and a complete liar. If you see something you like in store, please purchase it online and don't waste your time checking out with an associate. The store needs to be remodeled and they need to hire better associates. Bloomingdale's ain't got nothing on Nordstrom. **I'm not from ATL** The pick-up staff was very helpful. They did everything to find my online package that someone apparently left in a dingy, beat-up box. Coming in, I think the second floor, it was confusing because it was closed off and my fiend and I waited until we saw a random security guy to tell us to go upstairs. A sign would've been great. I used to shop retail all the time, because of the value add that the retail staff brought to me. Now? Why bother? Bloomingdales Lenox is a prime example of what is not working. I am their target client. I have had the *worst* experiences ever in the Lenox, Atlanta location. Make-up counter? You think that Laura Mercier could get it right? I pointed at the lipstick on the ad, tried the *right shade* on in-store and the gal put the wrong tube in my bag. I tried calling repeatedly. I was put on hold, she hung up on me and never asked for my mobile number to return my call. I went to exchange it the following day, and no apology. I waited at the counter until *finally* I got a quiet, weak, "I'm sorry." She spent more time trying to sell me the lip pencil (in the correct shade), then making sure the order was right. The women's apparel department is just *awful*. Dirty, dirty, dirty. Wrinkled shirts (where is the steamer?). There is *one* switched on person, "Margie" who works for Hobs (they rent the space out at Bloomingdales). Besides her, there has not been one good experience. Last time I went I asked two women, one who literally can't understand me because her English is so bad, "do you have Jeggings?". Neither of them knew what a jegging was (even when I attempted to explain, could not understand because again - bad English), and that's OK but they also don't know their own store merchandise. The department was "training", which was way more important than me. They had a store manager and two employees that looked irritated when I asked for help. Finally wound up with a sort of nice, disinterested, didn't know the merchandise, wasn't really into it "stylist". I wound up finding my own things, buying a lot (I was desperate). When I was waiting for check-out with her, there was this woman who was returning boxes of clothes. While I stood there, I finally asked: "could I check out somewhere else"? I was told, "we are training" then escorted around the entire store "looking for a register". The in-store experience in Atlanta is just a bit better than Marshall's and you pay twice the price? Retail is dead? Customer service is dead on a local level. There is no value add and I am getting off Bloomingdale's mailing list. I am not repeating this experience again. I bought my last NYDJ purchase online. They offered me a $15.00 off coupon with free shipping. PS:? No one cares if you try to complain about anything on a local level. Been there. I love Bloomingdale's. It was pretty much love at first sight, with their bold branding, unique designer lines, and insane sales. And even when not on sale, their stuff is in that prime splurge-but-attainable price point, where when you find that dress/pair of shoes/purse that's "the one," you're able to rationalize it. At least I do. Or at least I stalk the item until there's a sale, which they have often. Where Bloomie's really shines is their customer service. I've had complicated returns and they don't bat an eye. I've come in looking for champagne on a beer budget, and they've done everything they could to help me out. I even had a colleague plan a mini-event here and they pulled out all the stops: impeccable catering and over the top personal service. Sometimes things can get a little sloppy and their fitting rooms at this location could use some work: you can definitely tell it's an old Macy's, which isn't a good thing. But still, while it might be a little rough around the edges, it's certainly worth a stop whenever I'm at Lenox. read more

Sarah, a sales associate working in the All Saints section (boutique?) of Bloomingdale's, totally saved my ass today. I had bought a jacket from the All Saints website and found the sizing to be way too small. The website refused to do a return or exchange because it was apparently a final sale item. I called and spoke to Sarah, who took down my name and number and said she would need to talk to her manager to see if they could do an exchange for me. She wasn't sure if they could because the All Saints website and the All Saints section at Bloomingdale's are two separate entities. She called back and told me they could do the exchange and that she would pull a couple of different sizes for me to try on. I was SO. HAPPY. I made a beeline for the store as soon as I could and walked away with a better-fitting jacket. They honored the exchange with no trouble or hassle. This department store is still my favorite in Atlanta. Keep in mind that I used to work for the company and it did not end very well. I still respect the fact that their Men's Store is always on point. The Denim are always fresh, the shirts/tanks/shoes/ SALES! are always on point. I think it is a happy medium for those of us who don't have Saks or Neiman money. The bargains are not like Wal-Mart but very reasonable if you are truly trying to look good on Friday night. The customer service is awful for anyone who doesn't already have a salesperson they deal with on a regular basis. I use Carlen, she is amazing and knows how to make you feel good and look great. When I walk in there on her day off however I get no attention from anyone. Its okay, I don't mind giving Carlen all my hard earned coins... Shhh...I work at the competitor retailer and I still shop here....employee discount is only good if you can get the latest trends.. I was helped by Rolanda to find the right color bobbi brown foundation and she was absolutely delightful. She was friendly, kind, funny, and had a great eye for color. She also did my eyebrows and lip color and found the perfect sophisticated shades. Overall she is great at sales, customer service, and makeup. She made my bloomingdale's experience.
