As it is…read morelocated near the beach, the weather is always nice and there are plenty of places to sit and rest your feet at this mall with a nice view of the beach. The mall does tend towards high end stores with a small smattering of standard stores but in general, there are a wide variety of stores. Plenty of dining options from high end or quick casual. You can even do your grocery shopping here as there is a Whole Foods market. They occasionally have special events. I happened to be here during the Lunar New Year event so one of the areas was decked out with Year of the Horse decorations. I also always walk by the Koi pond to see how the fishes are doing. Staff has always been friendly and helpful when I visit.

The Shopping & Entertainment: The Stores: Most of the shops just aren't stores that everyday consumers actually want. It's mostly filled with weird, random boutique stores that no one has ever heard of, charging ridiculous prices like $300 for a single t-shirt. No Movie Theater: For a mall of this size, it's pretty disappointing that they don't even have a movie theater to catch a film. The Silver Lining: Parking: The only consistently good thing about this mall is the parking situation. No matter when you visit, there always seems to be plenty of parking available. Final Verdict: It's a beautiful outdoor space to stroll through, but as a practical place to shop or find entertainment, it's just not the best.

I was standing at the Lancôme counter for a good 20 minutes and there was no one, literally no one, came to greet nor asking what I needed. I left and walked over the next cosmetic counter and came back 10 minutes later, looked around and still no one there to assist. I generally love Macy's and never had this issue at the SCP Macy's. In fact, it's the opposite at SCP. There are so many employees at each of these cosmetic lines, they constantly surround you as soon you're walking by this department. :) Had to ask someone to call an associate to come to help me.

Instead of offering help, she made us feel like we were inconveniencing her simply by asking questions. What was even more disappointing is that the poor attitude didn't seem isolated. The overall atmosphere in the kids and bedding departments felt unwelcoming, and it appeared that customer service is not a priority. We left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and honestly shocked by how we were treated. Retail stores succeed because of their customers, and no one should be made to feel belittled while shopping. Management seriously needs to address the behavior and attitude of the staff in these departments. I would not recommend shopping here based on our experience.

Everyone else either lacked product knowledge, was dismissive, or seemed completely uninterested in helping customers. The Byredo counter had no one available. The Initio representative was rude and lacked knowledge. The MFK experience was equally poor. Alex saw us at the Creed counter was the worst part of the experience. He seemed far more concerned with making a sale than helping us find the right fragrance. He refused to provide samples, even after knowing we were planning to make a purchase. Samples are an essential part of buying luxury fragrances. You need time to experience a scent, let it dry down, and decide whether it's truly worth the investment. He became argumentative, and to make matters worse, he failed to add our Loyalist number to the transaction. When we pointed it out, he blamed my grandmother instead of taking responsibility. He never apologized. I came in excited to explore different fragrance houses, collect samples, and have conversations with each brand before deciding on a purchase. Instead, the atmosphere made my family and me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. It honestly made me miss the experience at South Coast, where luxury shopping actually feels like luxury. Shame on this Bloomingdale's for turning what should have been a fun experience into such a disappointing one. I'll gladly spend my money elsewhere. A huge thank you to SHABANA, the Lead Manager, for stepping in, listening, and doing everything she could to make things right. She was the only reason we left feeling that someone genuinely cared about the customer experience.

They had an extensive beauty and fragrance department, and a pretty good shoe department. What was disappointing was that no one in the beauty or fragrance department acknowledged me. I wanted to spend some money, but when they didn't look at me, I sniffed some perfumes, took pictures, and ended up ordering what I wanted online. They had several people in the shoe department. They at least greeted me, but I had to circle around multiples times, find a shoe, and then ask for my size. Tim was great! Apparently, he's been around at NM for decades and is very knowledgeable. He helped me purchase a pair of Dior sandals and helped me order a pair of Prada sandals from another store. Five stars for Tim! The Louis Vuitton experience was...odd. There were four or five associates huddled together. A guy broke from the group to greet me. I wanted to see multiple items and make a purchase. He helped me try on a purse. Then, I wanted to see multiple items. He went off to find them, but none of them were in-stock. Most stores will at least offer to order online and ship to you, but not here. The associates all gathered around a door entrance because one of the employees had their dog at the mall; a family member brought the dog to the store to see the sales associate. While everyone fawned over the dog, Bailey, at the door, I meandered around the store looking like a fool. After the dog left, one of the associates was like, "HI! Let me know if you need some help! Feel free to browse and try stuff on!" I was like...I've already been here for five plus minutes, but okay. I responded with, "Oh, thank you! The items I want are not in-stock." She replied with, "Oh, okay! Feel free to look around!" What?? Okay, anyway... I had an amazing experience with Nathan at CHANEL, but I plan to write a separate review for him. Nathan and Tim made my experience at Neiman's better. Otherwise, this would be a three-star review. Overall, the store has multiple departments and an extensive selection for everyone. Landing a sales associate may be hit or miss, so hopefully you'll get lucky!

If you want to buy clothes, keep in mind only one dressing room exists. When I went in to try on a F1 graphic t-shirt, I noticed sand on the dressing room seat. Huh. I wasn't finding what I needed as it was my first time here and I wasn't familiar with the layout. One of the employees told me where the travel sizes were. Another wasn't exactly sure where dishwashing gloves were but told me the few rows in which they would be. After a short, fruitless search, I came across the machine which enables customers to search the store and gives details on the location, pricing, and availability of what they want. I realized later that I could have found the information to all my questions and more by downloading and using the app. Could have, should have, would have? I don't know. The employees I interacted with were courteous. I was greeted and helped in a polite way.

This particular one is located right off harbor boulevard next to home Depot, and has plenty of parking. Entering the store can be a little overwhelming as they really do have something for everybody and then some. There are plenty of jewelry, items, luggage, home goods, and of course clothing. I always come here because sometimes my weight fluctuates a little bit and I don't feel like spending a million dollars from for some designer jeans. I much rather come in and pay 20 bucks for a pair of jeans that probably will not last me 6-8 months as my weight continues to drop. In addition to that, they have plenty of food items. Which is very tempting for me, because they also have a great selection of candy, nuts, and flavored popcorn. It's a dangerous place if you're looking to trim down. The bottom line? Inside the store everything is neat and clean. Honestly, it's one of the better run targets that I have been to. They do a great job of facing the shelves, and making everything neat and organized for the customers. One thing I do like about this store, is they have a very good grocery department. I don't usually make a habit of buying my groceries from Target, but on those off chances when I have a need for a gallon of milk or something to eat that I need quickly, they always seem to have everything that I want.
