When I used to live in Costa Mesa, I would come to this Target often, long before I started doing Yelp reviews. Find as it takes up over half of 8 shopping center right off of harbor boulevard. Lots of parking, but this place can get busy so choose your hours wisely. Inside the store everything is neat and clean. Honestly, it's one of the better run targets that I have been to. They do a great job of facing the shelves, and making everything neat and organized for the customers. One thing I do like about this store, is they have a very good grocery department. I don't usually make a habit of buying my groceries from Target, but on those off chances when I have a need for a gallon of milk or something to eat that I need quickly, they always seem to have everything that I want. Plus this particular Target has a CVS pharmacy which is great, I used to pick up my prescriptions here. And there's never a long wait at all. Added bonus, this particular Target has a Starbucks in it. So if you need a cup of coffee while you're shopping or on your way out, they've got you covered. Bottom line? This is a very good go-to Target in the area. They've got everything you need and actually have decent prices. Don't forget to get the app so that you can get an extra 5% off. read more

Since target website won't post my negative review i will post it here : Ripped the wall. Also cracked the wall around the ripped part. Broke the table. (Honestly have no idea how hard it should fall to break it like that. The whole double rod was on it and curtains but i didn't think of taking picture right away. I needed to get a secret Santa gift for a coworker and it was the perfect place for a blanket, grinch slippers and some candy The First Gentleman that helped me was awesome but I couldn't find this croissant jewelry travel box for my girlfriend. I circled around and was hoping that the other lady could help me look it up but she just said to look in front. I ended up circling around a couple times and it was probably sold out. No worries. We made the trek out to this Costa Mesa Le Target at the recommendation of Matt from the Target across from Disneyland as we were on the hunt for a larger selection and variety of items. And this store did not disappoint! It had the largest selection of tees and sizes that we've found this far on our Roadtrip from northern Alberta, Canad-eh! The clearance section here was excellent! I got the kiddo Cat and Jack suits for upcoming hockey season and managed to score a tan jacket for $10 from $30 on clearance! I couldn't spent hours in this store but we needed to hit the road and head back to the hotel and get in some more pool time. Love LOVE love how Target has free wifi die guests which is amazing when you are paying a gazillion dollars for data from Canada. I can turn off my cellular, apple map my route on wifi, and save moola! Thanks Target for always being my favourite place and to visit when I come home to the US. Target, your crazy item police at self check out is top tier. you need to move that lady to your security detail. She stopped me for having too many items. (No one in line and plenty open registers ) Stopped me to make me count my items. (By the time we finished our tally I would have been checked out ) ELEVEN ITEMS BRAVO Next time I'll make sure to count as I'm shopping. 5 greeting cards 2 ribbons 1 wrapping paper (there were two in one pack ) 2 gift bags 1 pack of puppy pads. Thank goodness for a full-sized Target! They've got it allllll here. Groceries, clothes, household items, cleaning supplies, video games, pillows/ blankets, hats and gloves. I bet you could find anything here lol Annnnnnnnd.... Drum roll please..... There is a Starbucks and ULTA inside. Yes please!!!!! The ULTA is limited. They have some stuff, not all. I needed some MAC Cosmetics and to grab some Kat Von D items as well. They had what I needed! Except for one item. So, I will have to hit Sephora or ULTA for that last item. But pretty cool! Likes: + Got the Dude wipes I was seeking. + Found the travel-size 1st aid kit and travel-size Peptobismol tablets I wanted. + Polite staff. + They have nice men's flannels! (Irvine Walmart doesn't even have.) + I like how when the store was almost closing, they added a cashier lane to expedite checkouts. Non-likes: - the impromptu shower wipes I found don't clearly indicate that they're good for when you need a quick shower without running water. I bought the Dude wipes - A long time ago, walking towards the store entrance from outside, I was walking by two teenage boys. One boy pretended to cough on me like he had COVID. I was incredulous and indignant. Be careful around these parts. I'd say the non-clothes are priced well. At $28 apiece, the flannels are slightly overpriced, but just my opinion. read more

This Target was awesome! We came by to get one of their Halloween door mats as it said this location had them and we had no luck so far. When we arrived, I can tell they were well stocked and even had the new Oreo Coke Zero flavor near the front of the store. When we got to the area for the door mats, they didn't have the mat we wanted on display. We asked a nearby worker name, I believe was Ree? or Rhee? (Her name badge was upside down so I didn't get a good look but it was around 9-9:30am) if they had any in stock. She was very kind and open to helping us. She went to check the back for us then told us it looks like the shipment was just coming in. We thought we would have to wait for them to open the boxes and everything and would have to come back later but she went above and beyond to go grab it for us despite them not even being ready to be put out yet. She told us it would take some time so we went to the Starbucks inside the store for a drink (Christina at Starbucks also had very friendly customer service so shout out to her) and came back to the same area within 10 mins. She was already there holding the mat looking for us. It didn't take long at all! She was very nice to do that for us even though she was busy in her department. Thank you again! read more

I really enjoy this Target-- good location right off the freeway and one of the biggest ones that I visit! This Target always has a few more options than others so I love coming here to see what's new. They have a large clearance section for Women's Clothing and a good amount of options for kids clothing as well. The dressing room is quite large and always clean too. The women's athletic wear is unmatched here too, like I said, many more options than other areas! There's a Starbucks inside this location as well. They have nice sized bathrooms and they are very clean also. read more

Went into store at Harbor Blvd in Costa Mesa to customer service to return an item. Waited in line for 30 minutes and had to leave without being helped. Line barely moved. One person working the register for both returns and order pickups. A couple workers were outside doing car order pickups. Those workers should also be in charge of order pickups in store when only 1 worker to work both lanes in customer service. Very inefficient! Poor management of their own customer service department. read more

The girl working the returns/pick up counter tonight at 8pm was so being so nice and hard working. Where is management?? She was by herself and dealing with a long line of customers while you can hear girls in the back laughing and gossiping. I've always came to this Target, NEVER in my entire time that I've been here have I've been stopped to show prove of receipt every single other person that was behind us or infront of us was not asked to stop to check receipt. I asked the "security" are you guys checking receipts now & she's like we are starting too. What pissed me off was that the people behind us waited to be provide receipts and the security told them your good go ahead. I am so hurt by this Target. As your typical lower middle class millennial with a smidge of sad girl energy Target was my go-to for a quick and natural dopamine fix. I loved Target so much it was the only platform we used for our wedding and baby shower registries. I felt secure with my purchases because I knew that if something went wrong with my products or if circumstances changed, etc. Target would have my back. So, I feel absolutely heartbroken that customer service did not try everything in their power to take care of my purchase. Customer service was unhelpful with rectifying a return so that the repurchase would hold the same promotional value. I only recently learned that Target no longer offers exchanges even though their signs clearly read, "Exchanges." As a loyal customer, I expected customer service to try their best to make it right as a courtesy for a loyal customer. That didn't happen here. In fact, one of the employees named Jose remarked to a coworker that our attempt to conduct an exchange was "weird" after saying something else in Spanish - a language I do not understand as I am Asian descent. Having worked in customer service retail myself, I knew I had been profiled as shady. Also due to my experience in customer service, I am aware of the many avenues an employee or supervisor could take to help the customer feel taken care of. I would have accepted half the money I lost from the sale price if the supervisor Christina showed an ounce of effort or compassion but she didn't. They did not try, they did not care, and they did not do anything to make it right. My boss used to say, you lose $20 trying to make a customer happy - but that customer will come back time and time again and spend multiples of that $20. It was an emotional experience for me being so recently postpartum and in the midst of maternity leave where funds are limited. What was I to do with over $100 worth of diapers that would not fit my child? Like I said, limited funds due to maternity leave... I just needed a larger size for the amount I paid. The diapers were on sale, the sale price for the repurchase should have and could have been honored. I will say that Target's corporate customer service representative was able to correct the situation. However, the damage has been done and I will never feel the same about Target again. I chose this particular Target because of the selection. I had to replace my pump parts and they were one of the stores that had every piece I needed in stock. So, we decided to go here to kill two birds with one stone. My love for Target was killed instead. read more

I recently had an experience with Kristin, the manager, that left me quite dissatisfied. Despite explaining my time constraints and the fact that I was attending a wedding rehearsal, Kristin continued to engage in unnecessary conversation, which prolonged the resolution of my issue. Unfortunately, I believe her lack of efficiency could potentially result in losing customers over small discrepancies, such as the $11 price difference that arose due to a stocking error. I hope that management will consider ways to improve customer service in situations like this. On a more positive note, I must commend the kindness of the lady who assisted me at the register. Her demeanor was warm and welcoming, which helped to mitigate the frustrating situation. It was apparent that even she seemed to recognize the manager's approach as somewhat unnecessary and drawn-out, highlighting the importance of efficient and empathetic customer service. And the most of it all I also got charged for two little losses by accident. read more

A few months ago I had shopped at the Target and was done and walked outside... sometimes my health requires me to sit down outside for some fresh air before I get my energy back.... I was sitting there drinking some water when a associate came outside and told me I had to move... I explained that I was just resting for a few... I had been there tops 15 minutes... so i let my body get adjusted and as i was getting up my heart raced again so i sat down .. then a security guard came out and told me i had to move ... i explained that i was just sitting and would be able to go in about 10 minutes he got snippy and told me I was loitering ... I showed him my receipt and explained that I just needed to sit there. He told me that i must be homeless looking for money. At that point i told him no i have a medical condition and I needed to sit... he then offered medical and i declined explaining that I had it under control. Two minutes later a associate , security and the manager said to me if i didn't move they would call the police... I got up and pushed my cart to my car and sat in my car for a minute before the guard knocked on my window to move. I find this to be terrible service read more

WORST SERVICE EVER I went to go return an elf concealer on January 22 at 1:57 pm, I have never experienced someone so rude, I have worked in customer service, and retail and have never treated a customer so badly. A blonde teenager around the age of 18 was the rudest. I asked her what she said cause she was mumbling and I said "I'm sorry my hearing is bad, what was that?" The girl replied with "did you not hear me the first time we don't do exchanges, I asked if you wanted store credit." With the rudest attitude, I proceeded to go pay for the other concealer and she gave me the wrong amount because I had to go pay an extra 56 cents for my concealer I just returned. the parking at this target is probably the first thing I can mention. It has tons of parking and it makes it really easy to get in and out of the store. I hate when I have to go to a department store in the parking is arduous. It makes it really difficult. I have a difficulty with my leg and it's not always easy for me to get around. I am not very mobile. So the fact that the parking at this location is very conducive to me getting in and out of the store cuz something I really appreciate. Once you get inside the store the vibe of the store is really chill. The electronics department has a lot of the things that you're looking for. I was able to buy a printer and I was able to buy a phone charger as well. Phone charger with extremely long cord. Those are my favorite this target has them video games are another things I typically like to buy at this target location. Especially during Christmas time for my kids. But again that dang phone charger with the long cord is something they have and I always appreciate that read more
