Little effort for conversation or attention was paid to me during the appointment. Stylist didn't look while shampooing, and ended up shampooing my face and eyes. Overall my hair didn't turn out bad so far as I can tell because it was only partially styled. So I guess I will see how it turned out after I style it. It was just a bad experience for me. It seemed like the other guests had a great time though. The salon is in what used to be a house that now only functions as a salon. I will not be going back. I wrote this when I went but apparently forgot to post it. But I had such a horrible experience I feel it is necessary for me to post it now.

I'm now two weeks out and the dark brown roots, that she said would lighten have not, and my hair is a funky yellow blond color. Now I know from other women that use this salon that Lindsay and Lisa and amazing (neither which I saw). And I am aware that I am very picky! Love Love Love Bloomington Salon!! All of the ladies there make you feel super special! The owners are so sweet, so involved, and always busy trying to make sure the salon is top notch! I highly recommend Bloomington Salon to anyone who is like myself, and wants nothing but the best when it comes to your hair! AND!! Everyone needs a little Kresa in their life! My hair was completely damaged after bleaching it myself (twice in one month)! I know! I know! Lesson learned! Obviously, it broke completely off and I looked like Khaleesi from Game of Thrones. I had just recently moved back to Lubbock and was in desperate need of a hair miracle... Yelp Reviews + Bloomington Salon = Kresa! After she gave me a non-judgmental consultation, I knew I was in the right hands. I promised her I would be patient and trust her process...and I'm so glad I did! She first focused on treatments to fix the integrity of my hair, not color. Patience and product prevailed! At my most recent appointment, it was finally time for a little color in my life. Angela is amazing! I went to Bloomington Salon for the first time to get my hair dyed from bleach blonde (that I did myself lol) to a brown with some red in it which Angela did an amazing job doing! I had such a great experience that I went back a couple months later to just go completely dark brown. All of the staff members there are so friendly and amazing to talk to! I basically told Angela my whole life story and it was just awesome being able to get to talk to someone that I didn't already know since we haven't been able to get to meet new people during this pandemic. I'm about to make another appointment to touch up my roots that grew out and I'm definitely going to make the appointment with Angela again! This salon has amazing customer service and every time I go, I have a great experience. I 10/10 definitely recommend going here to get your hair done. I've already told my friends about Bloomington and they love it too! Photos attached of my hair over the span of 3 months. It looks so much better now that Angela fixed my quarantine bangs and bleach blonde box dye mistake. I strongly advise against visiting Bloomington & my hairdresser. I went in for simple highlights, but they turned out disastrously. Not only did they not match my inspiration pictures, but they also looked completely different. The first time I visited, she didn't even use a cap to apply the highlights. It was as if she was randomly placing the foils in my hair without any coordination. The color turned out an unnatural orange, and even after using purple shampoo, it remained the same. I went back yesterday to have them "fixed," but the results were even worse. Now, you couldn't even tell if I had any highlights. It was as if she had bleached my entire head. The color was still horrible. I genuinely tried to like Bloomington & my hairdresser, but if she claims to have been doing hair for multiple years, she clearly lacks the skills and knowledge required for this job. This is simply unacceptable! read more

Demrie did a great job on my hair! I haven't been to a salon in over 20+ years! Having my cosmetologist license, I tend to do my own hair because I have had bad experiences in the past. She was kind and patient dealing with my long hair, and did a great job on my balayage! I highly recommend her and will be booking her again!! This is just the first phase of my lightening! She took my dark brown hair with red violet undertones up 2-3 levels to a medium tone brown with caramel highlights! I'm not a selfie taker but I love it!! Thank you so much! read more

My daughter had an awesome experience with Kresa (?) that washed, cut, dried, and styled her hair! I loved it also! She was soo incredibly nice and welcoming. Was able to fit her in last minute. Can't say enough about the front desk ladies!! **Will definitely be back with my daughter AND for myself when I have more time for me too!** She was also very efficient with high quality treatment and time! A sweet friend of mine got her hair done and I asked where and she said with Madi at Bloomington Salon. First I should say I am Multiple Sclerosis. I have issues with my hands and needed a cut that would work with my curls but I didn't want short hair. I brought pictures etc. Madi listened to my request and offered suggestions. After moving back to Lubbock from Houston, I was underwhelmed by the salons around town... until I was referred by a friend to Bloomington!!! The atmosphere is chic, modern, & fun! All of the stylists are extremely knowledgeable and personable. Their product knowledge is unmatched! Everyone is very sweet and welcoming. It took 5 hours and while Dianna was drying my hair, she was talking about all the things that went wrong; how the root touch up didn't "hold" like it was supposed to, how I have "color buildup" in certain areas so the color is "uneven"(which if I had color buildup, it's due to one of her other stylists that's been coloring my hair), how there wasn't much difference in my hair but "it'll get lighter over time", etc. Somehow, the cost was $405, which I think is a complete scam. I paid it all in cash and a few days later, they charged my card $405 as well, so they took $810 from me, for hair that I didn't ask for. They said that my "transaction never went through" and I told them I paid them in cash so they should never charge my card in the first place, and they claim they gave me a refund but I'm still waiting on it to go through. In addition, they made appointments for me that I was never informed of & completely unaware about until 2 hours before & they were upset when I didn't show up. Sad to say I won't be returning to this salon
