When I submitted an online help two months ago, someone answered immediately (maybe it was auto response?) asking for more info. I responded with the requested info and have not heard back since. I followed up over 5 times in the last few weeks and not a single reply from Bloomscape. Does this company even exist? There is no customer service number anywhere on their website. The only phone number listed is corporate location and it's a Google voice number that no one ever answers and goes straight to voicemail. Worst company ever. I have received four of the most beautiful Bird of Paradise plants imaginable from Bloomscape. This company takes great care in the packaging and shipping of these very delicate plants and they have all arrived in perfect condition and as describe. The plants go on sale with some frequency but the quality never changes. I recently had one minor issues with one of my orders and the company immediately went out of their way to make sure I was happy. Their customer service is outstanding and the products are packaged with great care and for me, they have arrived in perfect condition and as described on the website. just want to echo what the other negative reviews have said. wildly overpriced, plants arrive in horrible condition, wilted and broken leaves, cheap crappy pots. not even remotely resembling the photos. i got a cat palm which was infested with spider mites and almost killed all my other plants. i had to put it outside which was so sad. i got a credit from bloomscape and tried again. one plant had mold on the leaves and the other was in wretched condition too. delivery takes a really long time and i'm sure the plants are suffering in long transit. i never write bad reveiws but this is just such a bad company. please do not order from them! read more

These people want you to think it's OK for them to take your money, hold it for 10+ days, and not provide any tracking information. They delayed a gift beyond the day I needed it, and showed absolutely zero remorse. Their whole "hey, we might not ship this if the weather is bad" thing is a giant lie. They don't actually have the product when they sell it to you, so they use that time to find a plant for you. This was a business dreamed up in some college kid's head and funded with daddy's money. I just ordered a plant - Silver Pathos - for my mom for her birthday and looked for a new online plant place to get it from that would deliver it in tact to her. I was looking for something reasonably priced but still nice and Bloomscape totally had what I was looking for. They had a range of options in my price range (30.00 around) and it all looked really nice online. I just got off the phone with my mom and she is thrilled with the plant that was delivered. It was cleverly packaged and arrived in really good shape. Bloomscape included nice instructions on how to care for it and my note to her. Just lovely. I will use this company again for gifting plants. Really well done and I am totally happy with what they did. So yay! read more

Horrendously bad. Despite my better judgement, ordered a large plant from them, instead of going to a nursery, because I don't have a truck to pick one up for the nursery. Mistake! I opened the box, and the plant collapsed. Every single branch was broken, it had been in transit too long and was wilting, deliver service had treated it badly. When I wrote to ask for a refund, they said I could only get store credit. I don't want another plant from them, it'll probably come just as damaged! They failed to perform the only task I paid them to do - deliver a plant in good condition - and then won't refund money. Stay away! read more

I've been trying to resolve my issue with the customer service for at least three months. I've sent so many emails and images and have gotten nowhere. I have about 15 live plants and am known to have quite the "green thumb" so I know it's not anything I'm doing wrong. The customer service is absolutely the worst. I wish I could give them no stars. Their website is beautiful and I had always wanted to shop here. We bought two of their higher end plants and both arrived cramped in a box (poor plants!) and when we opened the box they were not only smaller than we were lead to believe but they were damaged. For these prices $300 for two plants (or any price) the expectation is that they will arrive with no damage and in an aesthetically pleasing state. Instead both plants had "ripped" looking leaves (see photos). Customer service is difficult to communicate with and despite our proof in pictures - they simply gave a form response of "they're fine, just learn how to take care of them". Wow. Also of note a $70 plant care kit that we also ordered didn't arrive and they didn't reach out with any explanation. When I followed up they were like "oops we ran out" and I still haven't received a refund for it. This business is a legitimate scam that preys on the customer's hopes for ease. Lesson learned. I will never order from them again. I am also filing a report with my credit card company in hopes others won't have to go through this. I still have not received my order from over a month ago. In fact, it hasn't even shipped. No backorder or anything like that. I have contacted customer support, and they keep blaming the weather. It has been unseasonably warm here much of the time since I placed the order. Besides, I paid for winter shipping which supposedly protects the plants with heat packs and insulation. They have had numerous windows of opportunity to send the plants. At the prices they charge, they could have even expedited them, if they cared. They don't. It's a good concept, just very poorly executed. I'd recommend saving yourself the frustration of dealing with this outfit. read more

I contacted bloomscape. was told it was because of frost. so I understood and let my mom know. waited after the date they gave me and no basket. contacted them again. I got an email saying that their Minimalist Hanging Basket didn't turn out the way they wanted it so I could change to a different Basket. I said ok and changed to the tropical Hanging Basket. they confirmed my order and not long after that I got an email saying to expect a shipment tracking number within 72 hours. I waited 6 days. I got an email saying to expect something on my porch. but not shipment information. looked on the website and it said "closed." and i got a email asking how they did... which was odd because still no plant. so I contacted them again and they proceeded to tell me the tropical plant is now unavailable. it's June 7th when I got that email. 1 month and 8 days later. my mom is still without a plant. they gave me promo code to get money off my next one and did refund me. but that doesn't get rid of the fact that my mom who lives 800 miles away from me and her husband of 33 yrs passed away 1 month before and I wanted her to get beautiful flowers to brighten her Day. she loves plants. you are a horrific company and should be ashamed. making me think the plant is on the way and I told my mom and over and over disappointment. if you read this. ruuuuunnnnnn from this place. read more

I received a lavender tree as a gift (a week late). It arrived dead. I debated telling the sender but ending up doing so. The company sent me a tiny Aloe plant as a replacement. Don't do it. Save your money. My Bird of Paradise plant is fine from afar like a Monet painting but up close the problems are obvious. Split leaves are common with this plant variety but I received a plant with multiple holes in all of its leaves, brown spots, wilting edges and chopped stems. I will care for my large ugly plant and will grow to love it but it does not look like it came from a nursery like the company says. My large ugly plant looks like it has had a hard life. It looks like I purchased it from a street vendor or from any discount store for a fraction of the cost. This plant is a significant disappointment, particularly at the premium price that I paid for it. Please buy elsewhere to avoid the risk of disappointment. To be fair, my other smaller plant that I bought from Bloomscape is beautiful, as it shld be because it is EXPENSIVE. The accessories are also nice as they should be because they are EXPENSIVE. I don't mind spending money for excellent service and good quality. Bloomscape dropped the ball here. I will not go back and I will tell everyone I know to spend their money else where. Very disappointed that my second Bloomscape purchase, which I know is already expensive, came with words on the pot. My first pot does not have words on it and even though it's light, having a brand name on the pot to tell me it's eco whatever completely cheapens the look of my plant and honestly is really frustrating. We received a beautiful Calathea Ornata as a gift from a vendor. It started wilting soon after arrival. On closer inspection it has leaf miner or something similar which one only see if you check the underside of the leaves. Who thinks it is a good idea to ship plants from Detroit cross country to pristine areas where we do not see such diseases in our local nurseries? Apart from the awful carbon footprint due to shipping widely available plants cross country I will really be impressed (not) if my existing houseplants get infected as well. The 'gift' from hell is now chilling in a snowbank and I can only hope it dies quickly. Go to Costco or Lowes or Home Depot or support your local nursery. read more

I am a plantolic. I have a indoor atrium and every room has several plants. I have had remarkable success with all of my plants except two- those I ordered from Bloomscape. Both of those plants are on their last leg in spite of following all recommendation. The trouble began almost immediately but I was confident I could nurse them back to heath, one plant, a Money Tree, costs more than $100. I wrote to Bloomscape and received a very friendly email with suggestions. I put them in place and over the next year the plants would seem like they might turn around but finally I just tired of looking at these very sick plants. I wrote again to Bloomscape who was willing to give me yet more instructions. They wrote that their guarantee was only 30 days and that my fist complaint was past that. Lowes and Home Depot both offer 1 year guarantees and they are much less expensive. So if you are lucky enough to get a plant that weathers a trip through the mail and like the convenience of buying online than maybe Bloomscape will work for you. However, 30 days guarantee is really not sufficient because it takes that long to adjust to a new environment. My biggest warning is to avoid giving this as a gift. read more

Inspect your plant for pests! I received a bromeliad from bloomscape and the plant itself was beautiful. The plant was large, in great condition, and had a pup already growing. When I first opened the package, I was suspicious of spider mites and kept the plant separate from my others. Today I separated the pup and on close inspection, the plant is infested with spider mites, scale, and another pest I have yet to identify! Thankfully, I kept it far away from my other plants or I would have a huge pest problem! read more

I have never had a problem with bloomscape but both trees arrived in bad bad shape. My lemon lime was full of smashed and broken leaves which was not "normal wear and tear" since I only had it an hour. My other dracaena arrived in a smashed and destroyed box, which made the tree broken and smashed the whole side of the tree. I'm pretty sure I ordered a whole tree. Oh wait, 2 trees each $195. AND the smashed dracaena had bugs! The leaves browned and started to die within days. I emailed and sent pictures of both trees and nothing! One email asking for pictures which I had already sent! So I sent them all again and then again proving there were bugs. I am thoroughly disgusted and writing the BBB. I want my money back. Smashed half dead trees with bugs are not wear and tear! They should be ashamed. Long time customer gone! Pathetic and sad business ethics, even though they claim a 30 day warranty. Liars! read more
