Honestly had such a fantastic experience here today. Rinku provided her expert services for me which included a leg wax, upper lip wax (after she goaded me to try one), and eyebrow threading. She was gentle, attentive, and her bedside manner is top-notch! Cleanliness: The Place was spotless and has a vibrant splash of color. There is definitely no double dipping here either which was an additional plus for me. Space: The rooms were more spacious than other salons I've been too, and the chairs are pretty comfy. Wait: I was immediately seen once I arrived (on a Tuesday afternoon). Services: My leg wax came out silky smooth and Rinku massages some baby oil after the wax. The application of the wax was also seamless. My upper lip is currently leaping for joy because it never knew what life was like after a threading. And finally, my eyebrows thank me for not doing a wax this time and letting Rinku hook up the perfect arch. Prices: I got a Groupon for my leg wax but, of course, Rinku told me to come back again to receive the Groupon price without buying the offer itself. I got a lash lift and tint and it was not a good experience. First, the woman told me that I wouldn't get great results because only people with naturally long and curly lashes get good results (I have had other placed tell me that I am actually a good candidate for a lash lift.) She said I would see a difference but it wouldn't be major. I got the treatment and the woman kept yelling at me that I was moving my eyes too much even though my eyes were closed for an hour straight. The results were fine as promised, nothing dramatic, but what bothered me is that she gave me 0 directions for how to take care of my lashes. Other places give very good instructions for maintaining the treatment, like telling you to avoid oil-based makeup removers and selling a lash conditioner that would help maintain the treatment. Blossom gave me zero directions and the results only lasted a few weeks. I would recommend going somewhere that really specializes in lash lifts. read more

The brow tint was good (recommend), but the lash lift was not. I've had them before, It's supposed to lift from the base of the lashes.... but the lash lift from this place only curled the very tip, but so aggressively that they curl in on themselves. So it looks really weird, I plan to take a shower to wash it out, absolutely not worth 65 dollars. read more

I purchased the Groupon for two Brazilian chocolate waxes and my experience was mediocre. The first time I for a wax, the woman said she couldn't remove everything but kept applying the wax and trying. This left me sore for two days after and all the hair wasn't removed. I've had plenty waxes before and appreciated the price for two, which was the only reason I gave this place a shot. However, I can say the hair removal wasn't that painful. I did have a lot of ingrown hairs after, which was annoying but I figured I'd give it another go since I had another wax left. I also had my eyebrows done the first time - that was fine. I didn't like the technique used for hair removal in the back area the first time around. Seemed amateurish. The second time was better. Most of the hair was removed and, again, it wasn't very painful but when I got home I noticed that all the hair wasn't gone. I know this place specializes in eyebrows, but if there's going to be a groupon for the other service, I'd expect the service to be good. Three stars instead of two because they did a good job with eyebrows and it wasn't an extremely painful experience, but def not five - they need more practice. read more

Recently moved to the area and have been coming here for the last month; however, my visit yesterday will be me last. On Saturday, I got a full set. By Monday, two large pieces (one from each eye) had fallen out. The original lady from Saturday told me to come back in the next 2-3 days if anything fell out and she'd fix it for free -- I was clearly within the window so I went back on Tuesday. Problem was the lady wasn't there and instead, it's a woman I've never seen before and to compensate for the two pieces that fell out, she used a massive amount of glue when adding a few pieces back in. By the end of the night, my eyes were so puffy, irritated, red, and heavy from the large chunks of glue (will post photo for proof) that I had to remove the false eyelashes with lots and lots of oil and makeup remover. Because so much glue was used on my real lashes, I'm left with barely any real lashes left and now must wear fake store-bought lashes until my real lashes grow back (6-8 weeks minimum). Cherry on top: I still had to pay for her to "fix" the pieces that fell out on Saturday. Needless to say, I will be looking for a new place to do my eyelash extensions. read more

I recently got a Groupon for a lash lift & tint and sent a Yelp message to schedule an appointment. I was told to just come in so I headed over after work around 6:00pm. Nikku was wonderful! In the past I've experienced businesses treating me differently because I used a Groupon but that wasn't the case here at all. She did an amazing job and I'm so happy with the result. Looks like very natural fake lashes, I love it!!! Note that you'll need to pay $7 Groupon tax after your service but if you purchase the last lift & tint at their business there is no tax ($65 total). The entire process took about 1.5 hours from start to finish and Nikku was very gentle and made sure I was feeling comfortable every step of the way. I will definitely be returning. I felt bad because the woman tried very hard, I even came back twice to have them redone. She was super sweet and wanted me to be happy with them. I don't have a wordy review for this, it's pretty simple - it was a great experience, and I walked out very happy with the service for the low price, and I've decided this place is going to my regular spot! Making an appointment (over yelp) was very easy and convenient - they were super responsive. My appointment was for later in the evening - not sure if this had something to do with the 0 wait time, but there was 0 wait time! Rinku did everything, and she was great - attentive, gentle, efficient, and sociable (but not intrusive). The salon felt clean, and she practiced good hygiene - no re-dipping into wax, etc (yes, I have been to places that re-dip D:). She shaped my eyebrows really nicely - I think they look the best they've ever looked, or it could be that it had just been that long since I took care of it... lol either way, very happy with the results. Bought a Groupon on a whim and came in today for a Brazilian wax. I was very impressed with the service and would definitely come back. First, I called to make an appointment and they were very kind and flexible. I got in an hour after calling and they took me back right away. The salon was spotlessly clean (a must) and Tina my wax aesthetician was excellent. She took about 10-15 min, probably the fastest I have ever had and did an excellent and near painless job. My best friend has been coming here for months and raving about the price/service so I finally made my way to the UES to have my eyebrows threaded and tinted. I've always just taken care of my eyebrows myself so I was a bit nervous but the result was better than I could have imagined! I did not have an appointment but Kamla greeted me warmly and sat me down as soon as I walked in. The only instruction I gave was that I did not want my brows any thinner, just cleaned up. She worked quickly and efficiently. My sensitive eyes were tearing throughout but the pain was not bad at all (I've always heard in general that threading was very painful but this was not my experience at all at Blossom Brows). Once the threading was complete, Kamla put the color on (she suggested medium brown so they looked natural and not too dark) and then went to work on my upper lip - I decided in the moment to have that done as well, haha. That was done in a few minutes then I sat for a couple minutes more as the color adhered to my eyebrows. The final result was fantastic! The color was just slightly darker and the shape was unbeatable too. Kamla definitely took my brows to the next level while still keeping them natural looking. A lot of people purchase Groupons for this place; I did not have one but the price was still unbeatable - $27 total for eyebrow threading/tinting and upper lip threading. Kamla also gave me one of those appointment cards so that once I come in 9 times, the 10th eyebrow threading is free. I definitely plan to make Blossom Brows a regular occurrence. read more

I love this place. They are 100% honest about the limits of my eyeborows (I'm not delusional, they aren't great). But hey, a girl can hope. And at the very least, a girl can keep them from getting into Groucho Marx territory. So the woman of blossom brow are my go to team. They aren't the most talkative (I prefer it that way. Especially since I'm in tons of pain during a good threading and likely in tears) but they are extremely efficient and do a pretty good job of mitigating the torture with their adept handling of the thread.
