I dont normally send reviews. I made an appointment for 12 today, then my pedicure didn't start until 12:30. I selected a "new" pedicure which was priced at $75 but when I went to pay I was charged $90 which apparently is because it's $15 more dollars for gel polish...which i was not told before getting the pedicure and also was not even asked if i wanted regular polish or gel the lady doing my nails just did gel which I wanted anyways but wasn't informed of the extra $15. My appointment felt rushed at the beginning and to top it off it didn't come out how I asked. I asked her to keep the nails straight which i came in with already but i unfortunately left with some toes round and some "straight" across but not really straight across they are all slanted. Very disappointed with the outcome considering how much I paid for the pedicure. Prices are outrageous for the outcome to not be somewhat perfect. So, at first I wasn't thinking about leaving a review, but after this, I feel like everyone deserves to know my experience so they don't get the same. Although I don't normally get pedicures, I went to get one with my mom because we're going to a baby shower in an outside area and I wanted my feet to look nice in my open toed heels that I'll be wearing. However, when we got started, the lady that worked on me seemed rushed and was rushing me to make a decision in what I wanted, because it wasn't made clear to her I guess (I ended up getting a gel pedicure) and when she got to scrubbing my feet with the sponge, she did the bottoms fine, but when she did the sides, she was being rough, still rushed. When we finished, I paid, and when I put my shoes and socks back on, I felt a sting on that same side she was scrubbing on, like a sting from a fresh little cut, but I didn't think much of it. The next day, I take off my shoes and socks and I see the scrape from where she was scrubbing with the sponge, which proves my point on how rough the lady was. I tried to tell her to be more careful but she could not hear me because she had her airpods in and no one else was telling her that I was trying to speak to her. Overall, she did a decent job with my toenails (which is kinda why I gave two stars), but I don't think I would want to get a pedicure again here and I definitely don't think this was worth my spend of $50. read more

The worst set of acrylics I've had in my life ! Application was sooo thick my nails looked like bricks on my hands

I had horrible service today. I went in and the book they had said a fill is 33 however I ended up paying 55 plus tip.She did my nails horrible and refused to fix anything. When I went to pay they told me the total was 55 and could not break down why it was so much. I ended up calling the salon when I had got into the car and asked the pricing of a fill which was 45 and then 5 dollars for the french tip. They did end up charging 5 dollars more for no reason. First time getting my nails done in Hollister since we moved out here from San Jose. The place looked relaxing and clean walking in but the minute I sat down for my pedi and mani it was questionable how sanitized everything was. Did not see any sterilized bags for the tools or them cleaning the station after each customer. Everything looked dirty including the tools, towels, chairs, pillows, etc. The file they were using on me was clearly used and the cuticle cutter she took out was dirty in her toolbox. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but my last straw was that they were talking crap about everyone including myself in vietnamese LOL. Apparently they didnt think I was vietnamese, but yes I understood everything. Shoutout to the caucasion lady who was there today getting her nails done around noon and had to rush out to pick up your son, they called you a liar and that you would probably destroy your nails and come back later. For me, I had thought my *Fresh* pedi came with paraffin so i asked politely if it did because i thought i saw that in their menu (the reason i got it was cuz i wanted paraffin) since she looked like she was almost done. And she said no. Then later tells another nail tech in vietnamese "did you hear her ask if her pedi had the purple thing (she didnt wanna say paraffin cuz its an english word and thought I would understand, little did she know) Ha! Her pedi is only $32 what makes her think that" And to top it off, my nails were painted so sloppy. My big toe's top coat wasnt painted evenly and now it dried up ugly as well as my pinky toe. Ok so here's the thing, I normally go to Milady but they were booked and I have a business trip tomorrow. So I read the reviews and even though they were not all favorable, I took a chance. 1. My lady, Tracy paid so much attention to detail! Normally, I point out the little things that seem to get passed over. There was nothing passed over!!! 2. It was consistently busy while I was there. And several regulars came in. The staff knew them by name and knew about their families! I love that. 3. These are by far the best nails I've gotten in a long time. It's hard to find a good nail salon in Hollister, esp when looking through all of the terrible reviews this town's salons have. My mom and I went to Blossom on a weekday around 3:30 with an appt. We were seated right away and the salon wasn't busy. Tina was very friendly and spent a lot of time shaping my nails. I love the length and color! This place was MUCH pricier than I was expecting. Be careful with all of their extra hidden charges!! I wish I had asked to see the menu first. Lana worked on my mom and she got french tip acrylic nails which came out really beautiful as well. The salon did not smell strongly of acetone and it was clean and nicely decorated for the holidays. The women did talk to each other a lot in Vietnamese and Tina answered her phone twice while doing my nails, but that is unfortunately common in many salons I've been to. I've been a loyal patron to a different local nail salon for upwards of 8 years. However, due to recent negative experiences I realized it was time to go elsewhere, and QUICK. I happened upon this salon when I was next door at Verizon getting my phone fixed. I looked in to see the offerings and I was completely blown away. This is by far the cleanest nail salon i've ever been to or seen. The location is convenient and is abundantly spacious on the inside unlike most other salons i've suffocated in. In addition, it does not reek of unpleasant chemicals or paints. I went in to get a pedicure with my mom and was stoked at the results. As a Yelper with sensitive skin i'm very hesitant to expose myself to new beauty treatments. To my surprise, everything used in this salon is organically produced and benefits those with sensitive skin. I experienced true relaxation with huge massage chairs and outstanding service. (My mom even fell asleep! haha.) I look forward to continuing my patronage at this location and I will continue to recommend it to all my friends! P.S. I made an appt on Sunday (yesterday) for a mani and pedi ... we were all outside due to Covid. I got a gel mani and pedi ... the manicure was fine except it seemed like the girl doing my mani did change her gloves before using them on me.. I am not for sure but it was stressing me out . After reading lots of good reviews I decided to try this place out. Very disappointed with the service and outcome. Things I did like, very spacious, the time I was told to wait was very accurate (45minutes) and that's about all. In regards to my nails, my nail tech didn't even make sure they matched- length and shape. I asked her three times to cut them shorter, and then I had to point out to her that the nails on my right hand didn't match the shape and size of the left. The shape was super square and corners were sharp so I had to ask her to file the edges. By this time they were getting ready to close and she seemed to lose interest in her job working on my nails. She did a poor job and left a mess of polish, glue and fuzz around the nails. I only leave reviews to help inform and not in any way to bash or "hate" on businesses. I just think some of these review are misleading. If you decide to give this place a shot definitely request a nail tech of someone mentioned in one of the 5 star reviews. Lastly, I just want to point out that in a shop of all workers and only one customer (me) nobody was friendly and tried to make conversation. I have been going to Tina for my sets for at least 4 years now. Every time I pay about $65-85 (fill or full set). My daughters nails, with her extras always runs close to $100-120. At this location I will only have my nails done by Tina. She is super sweet and I feel she does a good job at shaping, listening to what I want and matching the Pinterest styles I show her. I also never feel rushed with her. The first few times I went to this salon back in 2017/2018, I was not happy with my nails. Some of the other techs were not attentive, my nails were not even, kept walking away while doing my nails and/or just didn't understand what I wanted. As far as pedicures, most techs are okay, I prefer Annie or Tina. Now yes, their prices are high for what you get, but it beats driving out of town and/or searching for techs in town and not being happy. I have tried only two salons in town that I did not like at all. This salon is clean for the most part and my nails last up to four weeks!! I suggest making an appointment instead of walking in. I got my eyebrows waxed at an absurdly high price as well and the lady burnt my skin off. I HAVE PROM ON SATURDAY AND IT IS CURRENTLY THURSDAY. My acrylics look nothing like what I asked for and it was so sloppy, they used a brush and acetone to clean it up and they left smudges as well as lumpy nail polish spots. And the lady cut my cuticle with the drill. I didn't tip, I just left. Absurd prices and shitty treatment, don't come here unless you want a rough nail job where they file them unevenly and saw them back and forth to the point where it feels like they're rubbing your nails off your fingers. read more

Her nails were so nice so I asked her where she went and she said here but she only went to Tina. So I made an appointment and I live in Gilroy and go to this nail salon specifically to see Tina now . She's amazing at what she does and she always does exactly what I want. I don't know why I keep trying to make it work here. We have such limited options in town. Had an 11am Appt for 3 gel manis/pedis. We were taken back 20 minutes late and then it took TWO HOURS. The amount of time it took was incredible for how poorly all our nails turned out. When I looked at mine, the lady laughed and said " sorry I got tired" then walked away and started someone else's nails. Won't be back again. It's worth the drive out of town for quality work elsewhere. When it was time to pay ($225) I gave them $250. The lady was shocked I only wanted to tip $25 as there was literally gel nail polish all over my fingers. They have lost a customer... a while back I had an incident where one of the employees came rushing down to the front thinking my mom didn't pay. It was rude, unprofessional, and embarrassing. I gave them another chance and again But this time I asked if I can get my toes clean just a little bit more and she started raising her voice saying she can't do that so then I asked her if someone else can and got offended and threw her towel at my feet I started to feel uncomfortable And she just kept raising her voice speaking Vietnamese very loudly. I started to get a panic attack and left. On my way out, the owner apologized for her behavior, but I will never come back here again. I also had an incident where they gave my appointment away to another customer just because she was there earlier and had no appointment and they just "thought" I wasn't going to show up. They charged me $65 for a pedicure which is outrageous. They told me the upcharge for gel was $5 but charged me $15. The full set of nails looks lousy at best. I've been here several times over the years and have not had a good experience. MiLady was full so a friend and I decided to go here. I don't normally leave reviews, but I felt the need to since now my toe is infected- red, swollen, hot to the touch, and painfully throbbing. The woman who did mine also kept trying to push me to spend more money on services I did not want. I had to tell her "no thank you" 5 times (not exaggerating) to her pushing me to get gel, even after explaining to her why I didn't want it the first 2 times she told me I should get gel. When she cleaned the foot tub, she barely sprayed cleaner and immediately washed it away, didn't scrub it or give it any time to actually clean. So obviously cleanliness isn't their top priority and now I'm painfully paying for it. I do not recommend this place. read more

So we've been here a few times before. Last time I was here it was bad. This time it was bad. This place use to be good, but it's gone downhill. When I was getting my pedicure, one of the nail techs looked over at me very aggressively and said "what" to me because she thought I was talking about her. I was pointing to my toes.
