Connor walked us through each step, so it felt reassuring despite the hot glass in front of us. The workshop was very engaging and fun! I recommend! There is street parking around, but it's a bit hard to find parking. It's good to arrive a bit sooner to try to find one. A wonderful experience that kept us sweating (fear of trying something new) and laughing all throughout the class (teacher has jokes). Will cherish our product for a very long time. Learning how to blow glass has been on my bucket list for as long as I could remember, so I was really touched when my boyfriend told me he was taking me and my best friend for my birthday. He did his research and discovered that the best place to go was all the way in Hawthorne, so we made the trek from Costa Mesa. It was completely worth the drive! Wes made us so comfortable by stressing the importance of safety without scaring us. He was hilarious, knowledgeable, and explained things so clearly. When we signed up, we didn't realize that the pieces need 12 hours to cool. We were given the option to come back and pick them up or they could mail them, but I eagerly declined and asked if they could hang on to them until we schedule another class. Very disappointing experience, not because of the class itself, but because of how the situation was handled. I realized there was a timing error and contacted the studio before the scheduled lesson time by phone and email to request a reschedule. I did not cancel and I did not no-show. Unfortunately, the owner refused any accommodation, credit, or alternative and kept the full payment, despite no service being provided. What's most frustrating is the complete lack of communication -- multiple emails were sent and never acknowledged. A business that offers experience-based services should at least be willing to communicate or work with customers who reach out in advance. If you book here, triple-check your timing and be aware that even reasonable reschedule requests may be denied with no response. I would not recommend based on how this was handled. read more

Here's a review I keep meaning to write that is way overdo. I just want to say the owner is amazing! He is not one of those who only run a business for the money, he genuinely cares and is very passionate. I unfortunately couldn't make it to a field trip for my son and his homeschool so I sent my mom with him. He definitely enjoyed it and couldn't stop talking about the amazing experience he had!
