DUI Law Center - Mr. Eugene Ellis

I wish there was a lower amount of stars that I could give, like 0 or -5. This is the worst kind…read moreof exploitation out there. They do the same thing to everyone. You just got arrested for a DUI, you are scared of going to jail. They exploit your worst fears and high pressure sell you into $3000-6000 worth of lawyer fees for services that there is NO WAY you get any value out of. FACT: 99% of first time offenders for DUI do NOT do any jail time. Most DUI lawyers will charge around 1500-2500 and it's a very standard practice. They play you these ridiculous videos with FUD and scare tactics and try to convince you to lie about your actual drinking pattern in order to use the pillar technique and get you out of trouble. This is INSANE. They don't go so far as to actually say you need to lie but some direct quotes were "It would be the best situation if..." and feed you full of ideas of what to say. This is ILLEGAL. So, two stories. Both my ex-girlfriend and I got DUI's within a month of each other. First one was hers, she goes to Eugene Ellis ("Mr. DUI") and paid about $2900. He basically tells her to roll over and take the charge or if they are to go to court she is going to have to pay him $18,000!!!!! WTF?? She has already been offered wet reckless by a public defender and they are hoping to get a dry wreckless. My story. I opted for the $3900 plan or whatever I got suckered into. I made 1500 in payments and ended up with a BENCH WARRANT because they NEVER SHOWED UP AT COURT FOR ME. Needless to say I stopped paying them and they continued to try to collect from me even though I told them I was no longer in need of their "services". DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS! There are much more reputable and HONEST lawyers that are out there that will help you with your DUI case if you need it. BUYER BEWARE!!

If I can give less than 1 star I would. My experience with Mr.DUI was so terrible and worthless…read more This was my first DUI case and came to Mr.DUI from a recommendation from my co-worker.She said that he was great and would do everything for me. I made an appointment, no problem. Mrs.DUI was so sweet and found anything in her power to make me feel comfortable. Went in to talk to Eugene and literally spent about 1 1/2 hours talking about the "science of DUI". I'm not there to talk about what he has achieved and all that. I needed a lawyer to listen to my case and see if there was any justice for me. I felt like I was in school listening to a boring lecture, while I try to doodle on paper because it was that pointless! After about a 1 1/2 of his spools about his achievements and such. He listened to what I had to say and doodled in his paper about how to plea my case. It really felt like he didn't care and was just money hungry. He also wasn't straight forward about my case and didn't take my case seriously. He offered me $4400 for a team and said it can be cheaper if I eliminated any team member. For my case It wasn't even that serious and to top it all off Mrs.DUI said I can have a $100 discount because I was vietnamese. what kind of business is that?! and then offered to go to Mr.Ticket across the street to pay some more money to take care of my license.Instead of calling these guys Mr. Ticket and Mr.DUI, they should really be called Mr. Money Hungry and Mr.Rip Off I highly recommend you NOT NOT NOT to go to these guys.

I have been trying since January to get a tax return done for a family trust, and I have been…read moregetting nothing but a complete runaround since then. My assigned tax preparer has ignored both emails and messages sent through the H&R Block website, and she provided two different office addresses -- at neither of which can she be reached by phone. Several calls to office supervisors have resulted in promised return calls that never happened. I worked for this company back in the 1990s and then customer service was a priority. Now it is apparently the very last consideration. Here it is, less than a month before tax day, and I have to find a new tax preparer. I will never consider H&R Block again.

I want to start off by saying I've always done taxes online for free and always had a tax return…read more Things were different this year, I had to pay HUGE amount of money. I went to a tax person for the first time because I read online that they will lower what you owe. Nope. She literally did everything that I did before, telling me things I already knew and somehow actually made what i owe more?? And I paid her $175 for literally nothing.. I ended up crying because I simply don't have that money, I'm a girl living paycheck to paycheck. While I'm crying she kinda has this blank stare and says "I'm sorry... but I have an appointment right now to get too" like are you serious?? No compassion. I guess the only good thing that came out of it is that I learned more about taxes and how to do better for next year.
