I hired BluCrew to maintain our five-acre property on the recommendation of a neighbor, and after the previous gardener allowed the landscape to deteriorate. The lawns and plants were dying from neglect. BluCrew is no ordinary mow, blow, and go outfit - this is a family-owned business that is actually operated like a real professional business. Eric, Omar's brother, acts as the job foreman, and has done a fantastic job of bringing the landscape back to the best condition it has been in many years. The BluCrew staff is friendly, efficient, and detail-oriented. We have requested that they use only non-toxic herbicides, and humane methods for controlling rodents, and they have complied, including weed-abatement by hand. I especially like that Eric is constantly assessing soil conditions and plant stress, and making recommendations for keeping the landscape in top condition. BluCrew also has an irrigation specialist that maintains the sprinkler system to ensure that water is not wasted from poor coverage, inefficient run times, or broken equipment. The project manager, Omar, was very knowledgeable of landscaping in SoCal, plant varieties, and their locations. He listened to what we wanted and provided some excellent thoughts and ideas, and where needed, alternate suggestions. His proposal and estimate were both timely and reasonable. The crew, Edgar and Jose, were very talented in all areas needed (i.e. irrigation, fertilizer, plant selection and placement, mulching, boulder placement, and overall aesthetics). BluCrew Landscape is a family owned business that has provided me a high quality and reliable service for almost a year now. Omar (one of the two brothers in charge) is always easy to get a hold of via text or call. If a last minute situation comes up and I need to change my service for that week, Omar has always responded promptly and organized his crew accordingly. I have two large dogs that have to have access to the backyard while I'm at work. Eric (the other brother) was more than happy to bring his team over to meet with the dogs and ensured that those same people would service my lawn each time so that my dogs would be familiar with them. Beware! Had been a customer since 2016. For this first two years they did a good job. Since then it has gone down hill. Crew turns over constantly. Supervision is non existent. Lots of damage to plants and drip systems. They agree to do things and then don't follow through or just keep saying sorry, it will be better next time. Or they blame you for their poor workmanship. The crews know NOTHING about proper trimming - you are just going to get a hack-job. Don't be fooled by the "nice" brother. The focus on new business and do not have any system to train the constantly changing crews on how to take care of plants. If your job is simple and you do not care about quality, then maybe OK. Otherwise you have been warned. read more

They are really that good, my bushes and trees were taking over my house, and weeds were taking over my yard. My lawn is small but complicated, abundance of trees fruit and other, plants fruit and other and different species of flowers. Eric is old school customer service, good listener and in the business of customer satisfaction. The gardeners did a great job on the initial yard cleanup and Eric came back to walk through to ensure the job was completed as requested and I (his customer) was satisfied.
