What a disappointment. Customer service is huge in my book and I was quite surprised at how poor it was here. On a Friday night, around 9 pm (after the dinner rush, so it wasn't very busy), we walked in for our first time. No one greeted us, so we assumed we seat ourselves. We chose a high top to the right of the bar since all the booths on the left were taken. The atmosphere was nice and chill so we figured it would be a relaxing meal. Well, we were wrong. No one greeted us for the next 10 minutes (yes, I kept an eye on my watch). We were close to walking out already, but decided that maybe we were sitting in a section where maybe they didn't see us (?? honestly, we were just trying to give them the benefit of the doubt), so we moved to the frontmost table by the windows. One of the men, dressed in plain clothes/no apron), who appeared to be working there, asked us if anyone had stopped by yet. We said no, so he grabbed a couple menus for us and asked us if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered a couple cocktails, and then finally a young woman with glasses asked us again what we'd like to drink. No greeting. No smile. No personality. We told her that the man had taken our drink order and then she asked us if we had any questions about the menu. We said we just got the menu, so no not yet... We received our drinks, and proceeded to order three things: an appetizer and two entrees. Pretty simple, right? WRONG. This young lady got the appetizer right, but then got our entrees COMPLETELY WRONG. Like not even close to what we had ordered!!! My husband ordered Chicken Tinga Nachos, she brought a burrito. (?) I ordered a BBQ Chicken quesadilla, she brought a Shrimp and Jalapeño quesadilla. When she came back to apologize for the quesadilla mix up, she asked me to confirm that I ordered a Carnitas quesadilla (?!). It's like she seriously did not even want to be there. Like she wanted to lose her job! I have to wonder what she was smoking, because she was pretty off point the whole time. Finally, with all the mishaps finally corrected, we enjoyed the food for the most part. But when we received the check, we thought maybe she would give us a free drink, or maybe take a discount for the trouble she put us through. Nope. No effort to even redeem herself! This is why I only gave this place 2 stars, because the food wasn't half bad. But with really poor customer service, the food would have to be REALLY WORTH IT for me to come back. Great happy hour location in an adorable street-front location! I did not feel like I was in Vero Beach... the decor and ambiance were so welcoming and eclectic! The house margs were a steal at $4, the red wine sangria was the same price and equally delicious. We had a delicious queso fundidio with chorizo to go along with our drinks- it was very tasty and came in a heated cast iron serving bowl. Biggest gripe is the service - so slow and kind of rude frankly, other than that it was a great option for us in Vero! read more

Really great Margaritas food is just ehhh. This is my third time trying Blue Agave, the atmosphere is great, margaritas are big and pack a good punch but every time the food is just ok. The Queso fundido Chorizo is pretty good and it comes with a candle under it to keep it warm, the Guac is also good too but I feel like both of these things should be perfected at a Mexican restaurant. First time I went I also got the empanadas which have potential to be good BUT they put mint in it which was a little overbearing for me. Then another time I went I got the Quesadilla with pork, pretty tasteless. But if you're looking for a good vibe, good people and great drinks here's your spot! read more

I went here earlier while in town celebrating my anniversary. This restaurant has a very relaxed and comfortable vibe. There are many drink selections as well as burrito, taco, Nacho, and quesadillas. The carnitas quesadillas at this place were absolutely incredible! Like the food this review will be bland. There is not much of excitement with the menu. I ordered the pork burrito special. It didn't taste like anything. The specials board written in chalk was confusing and I ended up ordering a beer I didn't want. Our server was not really interested in making sure our food and drinks were to our liking. In Vero for work, and decided to stop by for some tacos. For appetizer, I ordered their special green chile tamales, however, only thing special was that it was cold and dry, like if it was cooked the day before. I proceeded to order their carnitas tacos with rice and beans. Tacos were alright, slaw was too thick and made the tacos messy, really nothing special. The rice tasted like uncle ben's brand rice my mom cooks at home and their beans tasted like plan canned black beans. No spices or authentic mexican flavors here. My advise for the cook would be put some more focus on the authentic food side of the business and not just looking the part, as the atmosphere of seeming like an authentic mexican restaurant was there (thus the two stars) but the food missed completely. read more

While on vacation my parents, brother and I stopped in as my mother had been here once before and enjoyed it. I am a huge tequila fan so ofcourse was thrilled to see they had several tequila options and margaritas. I ordered the Pineapple mint margarita and it was good. Not the best, I think it could have had more flavor but I am a bit of a tequila and margarita snob, so if you say you have amazing margaritas they better knock my socks off. Definitely worth trying some of their specialty margaritas but if you happen to go in during happy hour might be worth just spending the $3 on the house marg versus the $8 on the specialty, although the specialty margaritas are much larger in size. My brother and father both had the black bean chili and said it was quite spicy but good. I had shrimp jalapeno tacos and they were quite good although the shrimp wasn't warm like I thought it would be. Overall the atmosphere is good, the food is good and the margaritas are good, but I was hoping for a knock my socks off good margarita and I didn't quite get there, but definitely worth going to. read more

Was hesitant to go to restaurant because of rating on Yelp. I went anyways because the margarita menu look good. I was not disappointed at all, we had a group of 9 waited 20 mins to be seated but just ordered some margaritas so time went by quick, order mango habanero! Awesome. Food and service were great, good spin-offs in Mexican traditional plates. Had Bbq chicken burrito, wife had lamb tacos and so on. I love this place! It's our girls night go-to every time! My favorite margarita is the Mango Habanero, beware it's spicy. Otherwise, I recommend the blue agave margarita. You have to order the queso...delicious! I usually order carnitas quesadilla or tostado. The empanadas are not traditional Cuban empanadas so I wasn't a fan of the flavor, but everyone else at the table liked them. It can gets really loud on busy nights. Also, my eyes start to burn sometimes because I'm very sensitive to onions - it must be when they're prepping them. Its not enough to remove a star though! I have had dinner here 4 times in the past month. Each time ordered the chile relleno, and each time they have been out. Tonight they finally had them. Its a sunday and the place was deserted. This was one of the worst meals I have had in a long time. I was so embarassed to bring my family here. The relleno was dry and empty like a flat tire. No cheese, nothing. We hadn't been here before but heard good things...so gave it a try. First impressions...intimate, quaint dining room, nice artwork and decor. Staff very friendly without being overbearing...helped each other quite a bit. They all seemed to make the rounds of each other's tables...taking the time to see everyone. Our server was Nicole and she was great. We each had a margarita...I had the pomegranate and my boyfriend had the blue agave. Both were amazing. They started us off with warm chips, homemade salsa and guacamole...addictive for sure. We had the fish ceviche as an appetizer which was lovely. Entrees were the Agave Taco Salad and the Pork Carnitas. Amazing. I was disappointed the last time I ordered a taco salad in a good place...was not disappointed this time. We went there out of curiosity, intrigued by the name as well as the location. We are very happy we did. Needless to say the traditional salsa and chips were our first taste, and a very good one too. I then ordered ceviche, which I had last eaten about fifteen years ago in Mexico. The wonderful flavors of the seafood were still there, enhanced by the lime juice. An added twist was how it was served: in an oversized martini glass!! That way I could appreciate the colors along with the flavors. Extremely attractive as well as delicious. My companion ordered the lamb quesadillas, perhaps as much out of curiosity as anything. Well, to say she was pleased would be to understate the case woefully. She was delighted. The wedges came hot and STUFFED with lamb and cheese, so much so that consuming only two wedges, of the six offered, filled her to capacity! They were excellent cold too, later at home, by the way. The quesadillas were accompanied by guacamole, sour cream and salsa. Despite the name of the bar and all the memories it brought of tequila, we did not sample the bar offerings, because we had to face so much traffic on the way home. read more

Stopped by for a late lunch after Christmas shopping. Happy hour margarita special $4. They were excellent and made with real lime juice instead of the over sweet mix. You have to pay for chips and salsa $4, which is why I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 - just seems a little cheap on the owners part. We paid another $4 for the guacamole and it was worth it. It was obviously made fresh. I had the braised lamb burrito and it was ok. My wife has the fried shrimp tacos which she loved. Good atmosphere and service. My wife and I disagree in the good here but this is my yelp account so your gonna get my version :) the burrito was great and so were the margaritas. The cowboy nachos were a neat twist on a common menu item at southwest/Mexican joints. The drinks were a little inconsistent but they were just getting into a groove since had only been open a week or so. The atmosphere is casual but makes for a good night out.
