What an awesome place that we didn't even knew was out on Vero Beach after all these years vacationing and visiting my parents. One of the best meals i've had from restaurant in couple years beside a few my favorite spots in my hometown and surrounding area of Farming, CT. Fresh, Friendly, local. That is how after two different visits while in town the past 2 weeks is how I would describe this place in 3 words. Niko was Great - He made our experience that much more on both times we stopped in as well as even the 2 different employees who handed us our meal. This was so nice to experience especially from a "Counter Service" style joint. My 3 Tacos were so good, fresh, and we were recommended to try their WTF taco which is always nice to venture outside of my normal chicken or fish routine especially being that tasty. (I got this both visits it was so good) My husband is still talking about what we want to try on our next visit down. They even had some yummy soft serve ice cream that was perfect after our Tacos and my husbands burrito bowl. I have read some reviews saying 'Hole in the wall' but I think "Not so secret, hidden gem" I think suits this place a little better. On both of our visits they seemed to have a steady flow of customers especially our first night when there was a line out the door at 7 on Saturday night which actually was our sign to maybe check them out. Vero Beach-Talk about a tiny lil hole in the wall!! Yep, just how I like it! Delicious fish tacos! Lots of meat, cheeses, & cabbage! Hubby had the carne and the carnitas tacos. Really tasty! We love El Sid! It's our go-to spot whenever we're in Vero Beach. The food is always great, and our kids love it there. The service is excellent--especially Alex, the manager, who always has a smile on his face. Great vibe and music! Not a great experience at all. We will definitely be choosing one of the MANY other dining spots in Vero next time we're here (especially at the cost of 87$ to feed a family of 4 for the portion sizes received). Our order took 52 minutes from the time we paid until we received the food. The price is a little steep for tacos (a little over 5$ per taco) and we have had many authentic street tacos from various places. Not sure why some tacos, chips and guac and street corn took 52 minutes as these items when made authentically (review coming from a Mexican family) take less time than that to make. If El Sid was not located conveniently at the beach they would likely not do well. Only making this review to save the next family from wasting their time and money. read more

The tacos were fresh, flavorful, and generously filled. I especially loved the fish mahi mahi -- tender and well-seasoned. The staff were friendly, and service was quick even during the lunch rush. Ambience is a little bit not spacious. I'll definitely be coming back for more! read more

Delicious carne asada taco bowl, street corn, and tortilla chips (made there) and guacamole. Food was fresh and made to order. Not a fancy place, make an order, get it at the window, and sit outside. But it's tasty and the price is right. Dinner for 2 was $54 or so. We'd go again! read more

This is a fun place to grab a quick meal. Everything is made from scratch when you order. Lots of variety and a cute little outdoor seating area. There is a pickup truck where you actually pick up your food from the window. Hilarious quotes are all over the walls and they have a sauce called G.O.A.T that is amazing. I've been a patron here many times and this is my first review. Excellent food and beautiful presentation. The guacamole was fresh and delicious. The chips were so-so; I think the oil needed to be changed. Prices are very reasonable, and the manual has a variety of food options. When it comes to food, I think I was expecting a little more. Two little triangles for an order of Quesadilla? I didn't think that was to be expected, but perhaps my expectations were off. Also, the frozen margarita is heart-burn-central. Perhaps due to the extreme acidity? I drink margaritas for a living (not really lol) so I am VERY experienced as to what to expect there. I did not have any tacos because I specifically went in there for an orange slushy. They are delicious! This is the first time I went to this location. I usually go to Countryside Citrus but we stopped there after seeing a play at the Riverside Theatre. The slushy is a nice refreshing novelty consisting of frozen fresh orange juice and vanilla soft serve. If you're thinking creamsicle....exactly! The food looked good too. This place came highly recommended to us by a local and I know why. It was very good! You place your order at the counter and pick it up at the driver's side of the truck! (You will know what I mean when you see it.). You can take it to go or eat at one of their tables inside or outside. We had the Juan Bowl with steak for $8.50, 3 chicken tacos for $14.25, salsa & homemade chips ($5) and Mexican street corn $4.25. Pork tacos or Juan bowl are my go to! The queso is unique w/ the bit of salsa mixed in. I know i can't come to El Sid without ordering the chips and queso. Love that i can also get my countryside citrus faves like coffee or orange slush with soft serve. Cons- pricey! You can easily rack up a hefty bill with just a few meals. Good food but took forever and staff was rude. Plus the inside is very confusing. I was in the line to the left to order food however people in the right line to order drinks would cut over in front of people trying to place orders. Food was extremely expensive. A $100 meal should have been $35. It was not worth the long wait or money. Again, staff seemed very irritated and annoyed. I would skip this place. This taco place is quick and delicious. I stopped in last week and had a veggie taco with Portabella mushrooms, and one cajun shrimp one. I was sorry I hadn't gotten both with the shrimp, because those were absolutely killer! So today I made sure to get two of the shrimp. They make their own different kinds of salsas, which you help yourself to at their salsa bar. The Mexican street corn side is also excellent. I love the fact that they only use one instead of two tacos to hold the filling, as that makes them lighter. I'm not a huge fan of tacos when they use 2 because it's just too much tortilla for me. I was visiting Vero Beach this Memorial weekend and we had lunch at El Sid one day. I was truly impressed by it. It is a farm to table mexican spot, which also serves ice cream. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and corn and they were both so fresh and delicious! The quesadillas aren't made like your traditional quesadillas and include cabbage and pickled jalapeño, which I thought was kind of strange, but it definitely worked and is prob one of my fav quesadillas I've had to date. I also got a frozen margarita which was really good and refreshing and surprisingly good for coming out of a machine. I liked my items so much I forgot to photograph them, but I have my friends tacos which she absolutely loved as well. When I'm back in Vero I will def come back here again. read more

It came back super small, with nothing on it other than cheese. It was 2 small wedges! My taco was really bite sized and so so. Best thing was the diet coke. The interior is small, only a couple counters to sit at, not charming. People sit outside, maybe that looks better. Limited menu. I asked for rice and beans and the counter server did not find it so I am unsure if they have it as a side. More trouble than it was worth. We'll skip over this place. Order taker was rude with an attitude, wanting me to rush my order. When the food came out, the chips and salsa had two small one once containers of salsa (not nearly enough, but wait! I could buy more), the taco was dry (moistness) and tastless, the quesadillas matched the taco in tasteless. in the Resturants favor is its location and a pretty cool serving truck. After an overpriced dinner of fried seafood at the place next door - we wanted something light and fresh. Tacos and salad was about perfect! I was super impressed with the quality of the Mahi on my salad- VERY fresh. My only suggestion would be to do a better cbop on the salad - eating those long and big pieces of greens was really tough with a plastic fork!
