I've stayed with this chain before, and it's a step up from most of the franchised chains one encounters on the interstates. In over 50 years, the company has expanded to 150 inns in 30 states, under the brands of Drury Inn, Drury Plaza and Pear Tree Inns. The rooms and site are immaculate, facilities and amenities are well maintained, a complimentary breakfast is very extensive, and uniquely, they offer the free "5:30 Kickback" which is a happy hour with an extensive snack offering. A solid B+ on the amenities. I'll seek them out in my future travels.

It looks very small from the street and maybe only have 8-9 rooms I think. It was very easy to check in and the lady was very nice. There is covered parking right in front of your room door. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked inside. It had a spacious living room area with a tv sofa coffee table and large chair, along with a kitchen, full size fridge, microwave, sink, actual dishes, coffee maker, a dining room table that seated 4 people. The king size bed was in this room. There was a small bathroom in the hall. There was a door that led to the other bedroom in the suite that had its own tv, a queen size bed, and then a huge bathroom. The shower was a walk in shower and was about as big as the other bathroom in the hall! The beds were very comfortable (I kinda wish I had that mattress at home) and the rooms were very clean. It felt like we were at a home away from home. Bonus was that they are pet friendly! There was some wear and tear in a few places. There was a little paint peeled off in the queen bedroom at the baseboard and the tile on the kitchen counter was cracked pretty good. It was nothing that was really noticeable if you weren't OCD lol. The checkout process was easy....just leave the keys on the table. We will definitely be staying here again if our family reunion is in KY again next year!

My friend and I were in town following the unexpected passing of my mother at the end of February…read more When it became clear that staying in my mom's home wasn't healthy for either of us (my mom had been a heavy smoker and then we found mold in two rooms), my friend kindly took the helm and called around to find a hotel that would work within our budget while we continued to make arrangements for my mom and clean out her home for the remainder of the week. As we were checking in, I happened to notice large boxes of dog biscuits in the supply closet behind the front desk. When I inquired, the lovely gentleman who was checking us in told us they were a pet-friendly property for an additional nightly fee. Honestly, in our haste, we hadn't even thought to ask, opting to leave my beloved pooch at my mom's. Needless to say, we went right back to my mom's house and picked up my girl. During our stay, everyone went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as lovely as possible, despite the awful circumstances. Right after we checked in, the attached note was slid under our door, which really moved me. They gave us a beautiful room right next to a well-lit side exit door where there was a large grassy area to safely walk my dog any time of the day or night as well as easily park and drag ourselves in after long physically and emotionally taxing days. In my career, I've worked for high-end hotel companies (on a corporate level) and I've stayed at some of the nicest five star properties in the world. I will say, for chain hotel in a small town like Union City, I was thoroughly impressed with their hospitality, professionalism, cleanliness, and amenities. We decided to come back to the hotel early one night to spend some time at the pool, which was immaculately clean. And most impressively - they had a motorized chair lift for those who are disabled to enjoy the pool as well. I loved the small commissary adjacent to the front desk for those late night snack attacks, of which I had many. And the continental breakfast was one of the nicest I've seen at any hotel I've stayed at. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at any of their properties and highly recommend them. And most notably, I want to extend my everlasting gratitude for providing me a place to land during one of the most difficult weeks of my life.

Stayed for family reunion. 3 separate families. First family had to have cards rekeyed 3 times…read morebefore they could get in. Standing in the hallway for 30 minutes. Second family had a live bug in their room and had to move, taking up 30-45 minutes of their evening. Third family found bugs in their own pillow after getting home with some bites. The ac squeaked all night. Only 3 towels for a four person room. The shower would not drain and the curtain was short, so you couldn't avoid getting water on the floor. The breakfast buffet staff were outstanding and very attentive. Found an expired yogurt in the fridge and staff immediately replaced it and checked the fridge for any others. Pool was nice. Very warm like bath water. Patio to sit outside. Low on towels. Paid 200 a night which was supposed to be the group rate. Not happy overall and would probably not stay again. With all the problems 3 families had, I would expect a rate reduction. Many more problems than I've ever had at a Holiday inn express. Probably won't be back to this location in Dyersburg.
