Gigi's is a bulwark of what are otherwise limited dining options in The Plains. Breakfast with loads of hearty traditional options is what it means for me. Small but ample dining room, welcoming staff, and chalk full of locals. And of course probably best known for the local boy made good, Joe Burrow, captured with all manner of LSU and Bengals paraphernalia as decorations. The Joey B wall just to the right above the counter is especially classic. In the NFL off season in particular you can get lucky and see him there and of course his parents too who are local community mainstays. Only point of note I'd share that isn't a full endorsement is to go sandwich on a biscuit. One shouldn't necessarily expect a lot in this format if you choose not to sit, but my recent visit it was a pretty mushy and small biscuit. read more

Very decent. It was extremely busy when we were there on a Saturday morning and the servers were bussing their own tables. Seemed understaffed, had to ask for coffee- which presently- I understand given the situation many restaurants are finding themselves in. I had the breakfast bowl, it was good and well seasoned- could have done with just a sprinkle of cheese instead of entire layer. The monkey bread was good- however, obviously microwaved. I was down in Athens for Dad's weekend at Ohio U. Found Gigi's on Yelp and took my 2 college kids (freshman and a junior) to try it out. Neat diner about 10-12 min outside of town. While we had to wait a bit, the food was sooooo worth it! It was our sever's birthday, and she was actually wearing a Happy Birthday sash. I ordered French Toast, my son ordered Chocolate Chip Pancakes, and my daughter ordered a Chicken sandwich. We also ordered a bowl of Monkey bread for all 3 of us to share. All food was enjoyed and devoured. Towards the end of the meal our server was serenaded by the whole restaurant and given a cupcake 4 her birthday. Pretty cool. What a fun find. We were passing through and craving brunch. I kept telling the hubby to look for an IHOP, but I was far better pleased with what we found at Gigi's. It was packed on this Sunday morning. However, we waited maybe 15 minutes for a booth. The prices are beyond reasonable, which you can see from the attached menu pictures. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the pancake with chocolate chips was a great impulse addition. Our total, between the two of us, came to $20. It was a steal. And it hit the spot. We were looking for a new breakfast place and I'm pretty sure we found it! This restaurant isn't too far from Logan and is easy to get to. The restaurant has a very small town feel with country cooking. The staff there was very nice and even gave our little girl a yogurt while we waited on our food. Everything came out correct, hot, and fast! You are getting a lot of food for a very, very fair price! The down in the farm was great and the gray is a peppered gravy with a little spice. My wife ordered the breakfast bowl which was more than she could handle but she enjoyed every bit. We were able to sit outside but plenty of room inside. The only negative thing I would say is parking is a little tight and not too many spaces. I am very happy we tried Gigi's and will be making this a usual Saturday or Sunday breakfast spot. read more

I am in town visiting my nephew at OU. I decided to find a good breakfast spot, and Yelp usually doesn't lead me wrong. Today, however, was an exception. First, the good. The service was wonderful, and the bacon cooked to perfection, along with the sausage patty. Now to the bad: whoever cooked my scrambled eggs killed them. Like, couldn't eat many of them. They were hard scrambled with dark spots. Maybe they had cooked them and then reheated? And the hash browns? I asked for onions with mine, and they were a pile of mush. You could tell they were once hash browns, but I'm wondering about the reheating. I'm from the south and was looking forward to the sausage and gravy. Until halfway through when I cut through a few chunks of sausage that was in the gravy and it wasn't cooked through. We had been camping down near Coolville Oh and hadn't had breakfast. We were on our way home and looking for a diner, as we stay away from the chain food places. My wife couldn't find anything on Google so I looked on Yelp, ask for directions and found this great diner. Staff was organized, extremely friendly and gave us 5-Star service. Gigi's deserves more than 5 stars! My husband and I used to visit weekly, until our work schedule changed-now I really miss it! A small, cozy environment with the friendliest staff! You feel like you're sitting in your friend's house. You are greeted every time you enter, and someone always says goodbye when you leave. The food is great, both breakfast and lunch. Our favorite is the Breakfast Bowl! It's very filling, but if you can tackle a little more to eat, add a pancake-they're good too! They also make a delicious homemade chicken salad. Gigi's is great! While their food is definitely good, the best part is their staff. They always greet you when you walk in the door and are SO friendly and helpful. They are always fully staffed too. The diner only has about 15 tables but there is always at least 4-5 servers just for tables. That's not including kitchen staff. read more

Just popped in on way through Ohio and found this a wonderful find! The breakfast bowl was amazing! My friend had a burger and said one of the best, hand pattied and very tasty. The sausage gravy was loaded with sausage and heavy on the sage, plus the biscuits were super fluffy! Amazing service! As soon as we got in there we were treated and we sat down, instantly had a waitress get our drink order and not long after brought our drinks and took out food order.
